Mavis and Zeref

"I...can't control my powers anymore...Mavis stay away from me!"

She didn't run girl with the golden locks slowly stepped closer to the man who looked to be in great pain."Mavis! No! Don't come any closer…!"

Instead of listening to his warning, Mavis gave him a warm smile."It's okay."

The Black Wizard was staring at her surprised. "Everything is gonna be fine…"The girl stretched her arms towards him while taking a few steps forward, which upset the raven-haired man even more and he would now shout at her with all the power left inside of him:

"No! Mavis I can't control my power any longer, hurry and get away from here! I beg of you...Mavis!"As if he had lost his voice, Zeref paused. "Don't be afraid..."
The girl's words that would always reach his heart; he could now feel her small arms around his waist and her breath warming his chest.

"You know Zeref...I can hear your heart pounding. The beating is fast but also... gentle just like you..."

Hearing these words tears started to flow down from his dark eyes, she would always be there for him, she would be the one to warm his heart.
"You are not alone...not anymore..."

Trembling, afraid of not hurting her petite figure the mage carefully rested his arms around her tiny body "Mavis...you..."

"You have walked the path of darkness and you have suffered the guilt of your sins...but I promise that everything is gonna end...I will be the light in your darkness...I will guide you out of it...no matter what."

Both of them would stand still like frozen statues, holding each other tightly. The sound of the gentle breeze that was blowing the entire time had silenced.
"Light and darkness...If you are the light Mavis, then I am the darkness."

For a brief moment his cold words darkened her expression but she smiled again and looked into his now bloody red eyes with her emerald ones, before she took her gaze away from him."If this is... what will save you then go ahead."

Zeref remained silent looking at her with a heartless expression in his eyes."I'm going to destroy this world. Don't expect me to show you mercy."

A black aura eminated from the Black Wizard's body; his Death Magic also surrounding Mavis. Unlike many of his victims, she didn't run away, scream nor beg for her life, she just stood there, holding him as tight as she could, refusing to let him fall in the darkness once again...

"I will be the light in your darkness..."

Her words forced his eyelids to open. The Black Wizard looked around him but Mavis was nowhere to be seen. Only a grave was standing before him. He slowly walked towards it and touched the gravestone gently "I'm sorry Mavis, I had that dream of your death again.." No response, but it seemed as if someone was listening to him "...I wish things would had never turn out this way...I wish that you would had never sacrificed yourself to seal me on this island...But now I understand why you did this..not only to protect your beloved Fairy Tail, but also to show me the value of life..."

A soft breeze was blowing that day on Tenroujima, just like the day she passed away...

"Mavis, thank you. Now I leave my fate in Natsu's hands..."
