Peridot's P.O.V. I knocked on the door. It was opened by a blue haired girl that seemed to be about my age. "Hi, I'm Lapis Lazuli. You must be Peridot." I nodded. She looked at me sympathetically, then brought me inside.

After giving me a quick tour of the house, she went into the kitchen, where her parents were. As I walked over, I was shaking. Of course, I was nervous, and the tears in my eyes weren't helping anything. Lapis's mother walked over to me. "Peridot, I'm so sorry that they did this to you… just leaving you here…"

Then, even though I tried my hardest not to, I started crying. Lapis and her dad came over. They all tried to comfort me, then suddenly it just felt… normal. Knowing that, even though these people hardly knew who I was, they would love and care for me, made it feel just… right, to cry in front of them. Crying into the arms of my new mother felt normal.

Once I had finally stopped crying, Lapis murmured, "It's still late. You must be tired. We'll be sharing a room." Lapis went into her room with me. "Well…. I hope you sleep alright for the few hours until morning."

"Ok." I said softly. Lapis looked at me as if I were sleep deprived, which I definitely was. My answer didn't really relate to what Lapis had said.

"It's nice to finally hear you talk. Now get some sleep."

I woke up with a migraine. I groaned and looked at the clock. I only slept until 6….. I looked at Lapis's bed. She was awake. "Lapis.. Do you have anything for migraines?"

She nodded. "I'll go get you some medicine." She left, coming back not much later. "Here." She gave me the medicine and a cup of water. "And.. I just wanted to say.. We'll give you as much time as you need to recover."

I stared at her in confusion. "Recover from.. What?"

"You know, just…. Being left here. Even if it takes you months to finally feel in place here, it's alright." Then she gave me this warm smile, that just… melted me.

"Anyways… what kind of music do you listen to?"

"Twenty One Pilots." I said immediately.

"Oh, I listen to Twenty One Pilots too." Lapis put on a few Twenty One Pilots songs. After a while, she said, "So… if you had a choice, would you stay here?"

It was simple. Would I rather be with her or Yellow Diamond? It only took seconds to answer. "Yes."

A/N: I never even saw that this hadn't paragraphed... So I fixed it. Thank you to the guest review that pointed this out to me. I have read your review, thank you for the feedback! I will try to be more descriptive, I wrote this late at night and didn't even go back to edit XD.
