The Harvard Hypocrite takes a little bit of explaining, because it's technically a story that spun off of Heavenward, by way of a story called Sunset, by way of a pair of stories called A Known Deviant and Unknown and Lost.

I can explain this in greater detail, but it's complicated, suffice it to say, sometimes writers get to talking, and then sometimes they get to writing, and then sometimes it's 30k words later and you've spun off a whole new series. Neither Heavenward nor Sunset have any bearing on the events in Harvard.

The aforementioned two stories total up the events that lead up into The Harvard Hypocrite, and are called A Known Deviant and Unknown and Lost. Neither are available on , but if you head on over to Ao3/users/intelligentgravity, you'll find the first two parts (as well as the entire saga we're publishing here, but I leave that to your discretion.)

Basically all you need to know is that this idea was basically predicated on the idea of Gordon having won his Olympic Gold, and then having gone off and gotten a bit wild and crazy in the immediate aftermath, the stories of his antics hitting the tabloids; basically having been told to straighten up and fly right, enroll in WASP, or face expulsion from his family.

The Harvard Hypocrite occurs two years later, and addresses all the resentment and bad blood that developed between Gordon and John in the time between. It was written round-robin, with John's parts by me (PreludeInZ) and Gordon's by sarahcoury. We hope you enjoy it, it's near and dear to both of our hearts.
