Author's Note:

I advise you play the Chieftains' version of the "Winnie the Pooh" theme song. It matches pretty well with the story.

This could be the room of any small boy, but it, just so, happens to belong to a boy named Christopher Robin. Like most small boys, Christopher Robin has toy animals to play with, and they all live together in a wonderful world of make-believe. But, of all his animal friends, Christopher Robin's very best friend was a bear named Winnie the Pooh or Pooh for short. Now Pooh and his friends had many adventures together, and they all happened right here in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Deep in the Hundred Acre Wood
Where Christopher Robin plays
You'll find the enchanted neighborhood
Of Christopher's childhood days

A donkey named Eeyore is his friend
And Kanga and little Roo
(and Tigger too!)
There's Rabbit and Piglet
And there's Owl
But most of all, Winnie the Pooh

Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh
Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff
He's Winnie the Pooh, Winnie the Pooh
Willy nilly silly old bear

One day, while he was walking, Pooh came across a path that was overlooked in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Pooh: I did?

Yes, Pooh, you did.

Pooh: Oh. Suppose I did.

He followed the path far away from the countryside and saw, with surprise, the town called Montressor. It was like nothing he'd never seen before, including the ships which were floating in mid-air instead of water.

As Pooh looked around, he spotted a resturant called the Benbow Inn.

From outside, he could see the place packed with strange creatures, eating breakfast, which Sarah Hawkins served, including a froglike family.

"There we go, that's four powdered spheroids, two lunar eclipses, and it's a big bowl of Zirellian jellyworms for the big boy. Enjoy!"

She then moved to the next table, where Dr. Delbert Doppler, a doglike man who was one of her best customers and close friend, sat, reading one of his books.

"Sorry, Delbert." sighed Sarah as she placed food and water bowls in front of him. "It's been a mad house here all morning."

"No problem, Sarah." replied Doppler. "Ah, my Alponian chowder with the extra solaris seed. Mmmm, yum."

As he sniffed his food, Doppler noticed Pooh staring at him.

"Hello."

"Hello." Doppler greeted back. "What brings you here...curious little...bear?"

Pooh said nothing as he watched Doppler about to eat his breakfast, then asked. "Would you, by any chance, have some honey?"

"Go away." said Doppler. "Are your friends around?"

"Oh, they're all back at the Hundred Acre Wood." explained Pooh.

"What's the Hundred Acre Wood?" asked Doppler.

"Why, that's where me and my friends live."

As Pooh spoke, the door flew open, and a boy was being escorted by two robot constables.

"Mrs. Hawkins?"

"Jim!" gasped Sarah, who dropped an armload of dirty dishes that crashed to the floor.

"Ooo, here we go again. Doppler said to himself.

"OK, thanks for the lift, guys." Jim said as he tried to slip away, only to be held back to the robo-constables.

"Not so fast."

"We apprehended your son operating a solar vehicle in a restricted area." said the first robo-constable while the second added. "Moving violation 904, section 15, paragraph...um."

"Six?" said Jim.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it."

"Jim!" snapped Sarah.

Meanwhile, Pooh's closest friends, Rabbit, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore had walked down the same path in search of him.

"Now, if one of us were a bear of very brain," said Rabbit. "Where would we be?"

"P...p...p...p...probably over there?" guessed Piglet, who pointed at the Benbow Inn.

"Due to repeated violations of statute 15-C, we have impounded his vehicle." The first robo-constable went on. "Any more slip-ups will result in a one-way ticket to juvenile hall."

"Kiddie hosgow." The second robo-constable added.

"The slammo."

"Thank you, officers." said Sarah as she gave Jim a serious look on her face. "It won't happen again."

"We see his type all the time, ma'am." said the first robo-constable.

"Wrong choices." added the second.

"Dead-enders."

"Losers."

"You take care now." the first robo-constable said cheerfully.

"Let's motor." his parnter, and they both rolled out the door, which one of them closed behind him.

Sarah watched them leave, then turned to the dining room.

For a moment, the guests started at her and Jim, then resumed eating their breakfast while Sarah turned to her son. "Jim, I have had it! Do you want to juvenile hall? Is that it?"

Jim didn't respond. Instead, he picked up a tray and bussed a nearby table, while his mom said. "Jim, it's been hard enough to keep this place afloat by myself, without you..."

"Mom, it's no big deal." said Jim. "There was nobody around. Those cops just won't get off my..."

He stopped in mid-sentence when he saw the expression on her mom's face.

"Forget it."

At that moment, Rabbit, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore entered the Benbow Inn, where they found...

"Pooh Bear!" exclaimed Piglet. "Oh, you really had us worried."

Pooh chortled. "Oh, I'm quite all right, Piglet."

"Then, what were you doing here?" asked Tigger.

Pooh didn't respond, for he saw Jim retreat to the kitchen with a full tray of dishes, feeling depressed.
