Part 13: In Another Life, We Would Have Been a Family

Purpledolpin05: First of all, Happy Valentines Day. Second of all: Oh snap! I can't believe I hadn't updated this fic for AGES! Anyway, this is sort of a cutesy fluff chapter with our favorite forbidden couple. This is sort of a What If chapter (if Tracy/Roman adopted January, her baby brother Jayden, Spin, Bob, Jenny, Jamie, Jackie and Chloe, and unintentionally Doy)

I love that there are people that show love to Roman and Riker (and Rodissiuss) BTW I saw your review on Falling Into Darkness, and well, in my head, the Leighton family are close friends to the Andrews (and the Chimokuri family) so my version of the AU was that the Leighton family (Mr. Leighton is American-Japanese while his wife is of Korean-Scottish heritage) had about 4-5 kids: the eldest twins: Sora and Sara (They are about 19 years old, love interests for Remus and Romulus. Although the twins would flirt with the other pair and interchange their crushes every now and then but it's for fun), Savannah (the adoptive daughter), Louise (currently 13 years old, and is Ricky's love interest) and their "baby brother" Liam (your idea Sebastian could be his middle name since I do not want Sebastian Leighton to be mistaken for Sebastian Krane) And I think in this AU, the Leightons are unaware Rodissiuss was behind the attacks, but kept a friendship with the Andrews family. Another day at the Andrews residence

"Hey Roman, have you seen my brother by chance?" Tracy peeked a head into Roman's bedroom.

"HEY, I am changing here!" Roman yelped, hurling a jacket over his girlfriend's face.

"SORRY!" Tracy panicked a bit, before looking away.

"You seriously need to knock." Roman sighed.

"How was I supposed to know you were changing your shirt?!" Tracy groaned a bit, hiding her blushing face.

"Anyway…" Roman cleared his throat, "I think I saw Jones hanging out with the kids and my brothers."

"Which ones? The safe kids or the Daredevils?" Tracy frowned.

They all heard a loud blast from outside.

"…I would say the Daredevils." Roman deducted, before grabbing a fire extinguisher from behind the door

"JONES, WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Tracy yelled.

"Not my fault!" Jones exclaimed.

"All I did was start up the grill." Rainey, one of Roman's younger sisters, coughed out some smoke from her mouth.

"And you asked BOB to get the charcoal. B-O-B!" A young girl named Jenny exclaimed.

"Hey, at least Rainey appreciates my manliness!" Bob defended himself.

"No I don't." "No she doesn't."

Jenny and Rainey both shook their heads. Rainey herself isn't looking for a relationship at the moment, plus she knows Jenny has a crush on Bob.

"You're not even trying anymore." Jamie, a young shapeshifter, frowned.

"Yeah, it is both humiliating yet humorous for me as his best friend to watch!" Spin added with a nod.

"I'll get the garbage bags." Tracy nodded.

"Now how will I be explaining this mess to our parents?!" Roman groaned.

"Madam Tsuki is going to be so furious! Remember that time when you all broke her wedding china?!" Tracy added as everyone shuddered. Madam Tsuki (the other kids' caretaker and foster mother) is usually your kind and friendly aunt-next-door but things can get downhill when she gets angry

After cleaning up

Tracy was feeding Baby Jayden his bottle of milk, while looking over at Roman playing basketball with January.

"If I catch the ball, you owe me ice cream!" Roman dared.

"If I win, I get to kiss Doyiee!" January grinned. Everyone knew the young toddler has a huge crush on the dentists' son, Dewey 'Doy'

"Kiss?! You are not allowed to kiss any boys until you're married!" Roman's eye twitched a little, he never really liked that little Doy (he did think Doy was a sweet kid, until Tracy told him that January and Doy have a special bond going on)

"That's not fair, you're not even married to Cece, yet you still kiss her!" January sassed back.

"Play nice, Roman!" Tracy hissed over to her boyfriend, before humming some lullabies to baby Jayden.

"For you, babe. Anything you wish." Roman flirted with Tracy for a bit before focusing back to his game with January.

[I am bad at describing sports]

But long story short, January has prove herself to be quite an athlete and knows how to charm her way out of any mess. She also has the potential to play soccer!

"Way to win with pride." Reese whooped for her 'niece'.

"That's my friend." January's little boyfriend, Doy, cheered.

"Yay me!" January whooped as she ran off to tell her 'uncles' and 'aunts' about her victory.

"I can't believe you got beaten by a kid who can probably fit in a shoe box!" Spin exclaimed.

"I let her win! That girl has true potential." Roman defended himself.

"Just like her daddy." Tracy smiled, before leaning in to peck Roman's cheek.

Roman blushed a bit after the kiss.

"You guys aren't even married yet and you already adopted like 8 kids, 9 if you add in the 'son-in-law'!" Riker commented.

"Make it 10, if you count in that Kyle kid who keeps hanging out with AJ." Tracy's best friend, Chris Yanagi (S-71) corrected, before Riker handed Chris 10 bucks. Riker likes to flirt with Chris sometimes since Tracy is like a sister to Chris, maybe it could score bonus points for Riker's long and desperate road of romance.

"Hello Alexander Hamilton." Chris whistled to the dollar bill before tucking it into her pocket.

"Am I genuinely disturbed that despite the older brothers of the two are enemies, AJ and Kyle still make their bromance work?" Jones commented.

[This is an AU of which Roman found Tracy and some of the Bionic solders, whereby Tracy and the rest did manage to somewhat stop Rodissiuss from becoming as evil as the actual universe; or in which Tracy and her friends somewhat join the Andrews family]

"It's adorable." Reese nodded.

"Guys, we have a problem!" Kyle ran out of the bathroom.

"Oh no, did you forget to use soap again?" Jamie covered her nose in disgust.

"You guys, remember how happy and excited AJ is after he won that prize for the Sing It Louder! contest and winner gets to guest star as Sasha's crush on the show, which is being filmed next weekend?" Bob asked, before the rest nodded.

"Well, AJ wanted to look good in front of his celebrity crush and wants to straighten his hair, but then…this happened." Kyle chuckled nervously, before yanking AJ out.

"How long do I have to put this cream on my head?" AJ asked, clattering. There was a layer of towel on his head, covering his hair. "My ears feel like throbbing jalapenos!"

"Reese, you're the hair expert, what do we do?!" Kyle turned to Reese.

"First of all, how long have you had that cream on?" Reese asked, rushing into the bathroom to look for the hair product package.

"I dunno, 45 minutes." AJ shouted back.

"45 minutes." Spin, Bob and Kyle repeated.

"GUYS, THIS PAIN IS MAKING ME WANT TO RIP MY HEAD OFF!" AJ exclaimed loudly in pain.

"Cheap Charlie's Hair-Straightening Cream" Reese read aloud, before scanning for the details.

"Says here you should have washed it out 45 minutes ago." Reese stated.

AJ quickly made a bolt to the bathroom.

"You should never leave that cream on for too long." Jenny frowned.

"Why didn't you kids read the label?!" Reese hissed, smacking Kyle's arm.

"This is why we do not shop for hair-straightening cream at Cheap Charlie's!" Tracy groaned.

A few seconds later, AJ screamed loudly from the bathroom.

"So…how bad is it?" AJ walked out of the bathroom a few minutes later, his permed hair is now straightened, and we're talking Will Byers from Stranger Things hairstyle.

"AHHHH!" Everyone quickly shrieked.

"Yeesh. What is with all the yelling out here?" Rodissiuss walked in from the garden outside (so what? Can't a man learn to garden to relieve stress?!), before his jaw dropped at AJ's new look.

"Now what do we do? AJ has to meet his future wife next weekend and he cannot show up on camera looking like Will Byer's Latino doppelganger!" Rainey, one of Roman's siblings, exclaimed.

"Not if I can fix it. I worked part-time at that fancy hair salon last summer." Regina walked over.

"Yeah, and you got fired because you burned a hole in that guy's head who wanted a perm." Ricky stated.

"That guy whose hair you burned was my brother, KAZ!" Kyle claimed.

"Either way, never looked better." Regina corrected.

"I'm worried, if Reggie can damage Kaz, she may do worst with your hair." Ranger gulped.

"Have some faith in me, I pay a lot of attention of K-Popstar's hairstyles. I can make you look magnifique!" Regina replied.

"Yeah, she did the highlights of my hair." Chris motioned to the platinum blond highlights in her light brown wavy hair.

"If I messed it up with Ruby, I am suing Cheap Charlie's!" AJ grumbled as he allowed his sister to fix his hair situation.

"And where are you gonna find a lawyer?" Reese asked.

"Remus." AJ pointed at one of his older brothers.

"And Roger." Remus ratted out his other brother.

"I thought Roger is the one who wants to become an international singer?" Chris asked.

"I am. Law is just a backup if my singer dream doesn't work out." Roger smiled.

"Wow, this family is always a riot." Jones laughed.

"Why do you think I come over here?" Chris nodded, leaning against the counter.

"Because you think I am cute?" Riker joked, attempting to flirt with Chris.

"Not happening, Riker." Chris rolled her eyes. "I only have eyes on one guy, and that's Tom Felton."

"You do know I can just shapeshift into Tom Felton, right?" Riker asked. "You'd go out with me if I were dressed like him, right?"

"I think I can probably consider it." Chris thought.

"I'll take it!" Riker nodded.

"Hey Riker, don't hit on my bestie!" Tracy called out from the other room.

"Hey, I'm gonna go and grab some froyo, who wants some?" Riker called out, before all his kid siblings agreed.

"Me too!" Bob cheered.

"Same. I want some chocolate chips." Jenny bounced up and down.

"I want some strawberry syrup on mine." Jamie nodded.

"Same" Spin agreed.

"What about Munchkin 1 and 2?" Riker motioned at January and Jayden.

"It's fine. I can look after them." Roman nodded.

"If Janoy's staying, I'm staying too!" Doy quickly announced, smiling over at the 3-year-old Bionic.

"I was looking forward to a family day, not spend the day with some kid who'd steal you daughter day." Roman grumbled under his breath.

"Roman, be nice." Tracy hissed over.

"Fine, I will TRY." Roman sighed.

Riker was trying to do a cartwheel around the backyard until he knocked over Jackie.

Instead of crying, the little Bionic boy started to laugh hysterically.

"That's my boy, he learns to withstand pain and laugh it off." Jones snickered.

"You guys have issues." Rory pointed out.

"Hey, we came with the package (looks at Tracy) so like it or now, we're 'family' now." Jones claimed.

"You hear that, we're FAMILY!" Bob stretched his arms wide open, turning to Rainey.

"Not gonna happen, Bob!" Rainey frowned, "The only love of my life right now is my love for cooking!"

"Tragically, it's a toxic relationship." Ranger joked, before Rainey hurled her twin using her Super Strength.

"AHHHHH!" Ranger screamed before he knocked over his Triplet brothers, Riker, Remus and Romulus.

"Score!" Rainey cheered.

"You guys do Super Strength Bowling here TOO?! I used to play that game with my mentor Adam and his girlfriend Sakura!" Bob cheered.

"I remembered. You once knocked over the West Wing's capsules. AND my teddy bear!" Jenny nodded.

"I can still smell the fire." Spin snorted.

"How many of you all have Super Strength?" Jones asked.

Bob and Jackie raised their hands.

Rainey, Roman, Riker, Roger, Rory, Regina and Ricky all raised their hands.

"Hey look, Janoy is lifting me!" Doy exclaimed, looking at the bionic toddler.

"Make that January as well." Tracy counted.

"She takes after her daddy." Reese made a joke, nudging Roman by the elbow.

"Hey, maybe we can bring back Super Family Sports Day." Reese suggested

"What's that?" Chloe asked.

"Back when my wife was around, we used to have this Sports Day among the children, we would try to win certain competitions by using our super abilities fair and square." Rodissiuss explained, with a hint of fondness in his tone.

"Yeah, once, Remus ran his twin Romulus over in the three-legged race. I don't know HOW it was actually possible." Reese pointed out.

"All because he was making kissy faces with Sara Leighton." Romulus accused his twin brother.

"As if you weren't checking out her sister Sora." Remus stated, before Romulus blushed.

"You are both perverts!" Jamie accused.

"We were all 6!" Remus exclaimed.

"That makes my statement more valid!" Jamie nodded.

Jenny, Bob and Spin all laughed with Jamie at the older Andrews siblings as they all joked around.

Later…

Roman was exhausted from cleaning up the mess his brothers made, it gets worse when Jones thought a good old game of Hide and Seek would work, but when you have a household of messy shapeshifters, it is difficult to find the hiders. Roman had to shout into a bucket twice before using it to stuff in the dirty laundry.

Tracy walked out of the nursery and saw Roman asleep on the floor. She smiled to herself.

"Is Papa sleeping?" January asked,

"Yeah, don't wake him up-Too late." Tracy blinked when she saw Jayden crawling over to Roman.

The toddler boy began to poke Roman by the arm, calling out "Papa, Papa!"

It was honestly so cute.

"Papa, wake up." January joined in, before taking out Reese's lipstick and doodling all over his face.

'I know I should be stopping them, but it's just too darn cute.' Tracy thought, before casually flipping out her phone to record this adorable yet hilarious moment.

"Good morning, kids." Roman eventually woke up, before he leaned forward to kiss his girlfriend's lips. "Hey, sweetheart."

He noticed that he got lipstick over his girlfriend's mouth.

"Yeah, our kids may have kinda doodled on your face." Tracy gave a weak smile, showing Roman his reflection on a mirror.

"Well, red is a good color on your lips." Roman teased, before he pretended to be chasing after the kids like monster tag.

Tracy just stood by and smiled as her boyfriend and her kids were getting along nicely.

Later that night

"Goodnight, everyone. Sleep tight, kids." Tracy tucked baby Jayden into his cot.

"Night, Cece and Roman." Jenny waved.

"This is nice. Spending everyday with you like this." Roman commented, holding his girlfriend's hand as they sat on their bed.

"You're not upset at all; I mean we still haven't y'know gotten intimate with each other?" Tracy asked shyly. She was the type to avoid physical love until marriage.

"I would rather wait until we're married before we do anything. Besides I like this. Being able to just cuddle you without being all hormonally active around you." Roman smiled. They're practically engaged before they even met, but they both liked taking their relationship slow and steady without rushing into things.

"Thanks. Anyway, time to sleep now. Goodnight." Tracy leaned up to peck him by the lips, before they started to fall asleep holding hands.

Both their eyes opened, as they both work up. Different places, different beds.

Roman was in his bedroom, which he shares with his brothers.

Tracy was back in her room she shares with her friends.

"Oh, it was just a dream." Roman sighed, disappointed to be waking up back to reality after the wonderful dream he just had.

"Why was it only a dream…" Tracy frustratedly kicked the blanket off her bed.

In another lifetime, maybe our relationship wouldn't be this complicated…

In another lifetime, maybe we could have been together without fearing how the world sees us.

In another lifetime, we could have been a happy family.

Purpledolpin05: This is not really the best comeback chapter after being on hiatus for so long. But I hope you guys liked this what-if chapter for Roman and Tracy's relationship had they been together in another timeline. I have a ton of timeline AUs for Roman and Tracy, most of them have ups and downs, in some more downs than ups, but this AU is what I call the Wholesome Happy AU, in which Roman's family never turned evil and everyone gets a happy ending (with the only exception of the Andrews family disliking Kaz because he insulted their dad)

A few references were thrown in here and there, hope you guys caught some of it: Boy Meets World reference with AJ trying to straighten his hair, Kyle being the "Shawn Hunter" of the duo. Ruby from Liv and Maddie: Cali Style (in most of my AUs, AJ has a huge crush on Ruby).

I'm not sure when I will be updating again, but yes, I will still continue this story because we need to know if Roman and Tracy will get their happy ending that they very much deserved.
