This is my goodbye to Anton Yelchin. We lost more than an actor… we lost a friend, an incredible young man… we lost him.

If I could sum up Anton in one word, it would be passionate. I never had the chance to know him, or even meet him, but through the screen I saw a light from him that I know I was not alone in seeing. He brought joy to the people who knew him, and to those, like me, who didn't.

In one interview, Chris Pine mentions that he was translating a Russian book, 'Just for fun.'

He also loved to play guitar, and was once spotted shielding a line of ducklings behind their mother with his umbrella one rainy day. Everyone who knew him could only say wonderful things about him. He spoke Russian fluently, and Lord knows we'll all miss, "Keptin on ze bridge!"

We miss you so much, Anton. You were a talented, compassionate, and wonderful man. Rest in peace, buddy.
