Author's note: Really short and a little late, but I wanted to get something in for Halloween, and I love the paranormal!Widowtracer AUs, especially Werewolf!Tracer and Vampire!Widowmaker. And I know scary feral wolves are cool, but this is Tracer. She's a doggo. And I'll explain where I've gone with my Warriors fic later.
Lena yawned as she curled herself into her dorm in the Overwatch headquarters, the sun beginning to set. She tossed a little as she snuggled deep into the blankets, muttering her thoughts, making it clear she wasn't fully asleep. It was quite a surprise to see the excitable little ball of energy so tuckered out, but long, exhausting missions made even Tracer tired. However, the calendar had one giant reminder that she forgot about entirely.
A full moon tonight.
As the moon rose and Tracer was just barely getting to sleep, she suddenly jolted up as she felt an all too familiar sensation going through. Teeth growing sharper. Body feeling larger. A tail growing in. She sat up and saw her hands morph quickly into furry brown paws with extended claws, and felt her ears point and stick up.
"Oh, this is bloody fantastic." she whispered, her morphing being something she was just all too used to. Soon, her voice changed into a full on howl and her mouth shifted into a muzzle. Alertness went through her mind, tail and ears pointed upwards in interest and curiosity. There she was: a giant pure brown wolf.
The wolf romped through the hallways of the dorm, blue streak left behind her and tail wagging with her energy surging back. Everything seemed exciting and distracting, whether there was a squirrel outside or she saw the moon again. She sniffed around, trying to find the outside door and find traces of human blood. She had to. For...a very special person. Well...not person, really. Snapping back to reality, suddenly, she heard something that immediately caught and held her attention. The creak of the window and a bat's wings fluttering.
A bat was floating down from the sky outside. The wolf was lying next to the window, looking up and hopping up as the bat flew through, and suddenly, the bat morphed. A ponytail began to form from the back of its head, its wings merged into hands, and its body grew. A purple-skinned woman was in the bat's place within minutes. "Lena, I see you."
The wolf pulled her lips back, howing her teeth and let out a low growl. Her claws shone in the moonlight...but Widowmaker just rolled her eyes. "Sit. You're not scary, Lena." she muttered in her French accent, before showing off her fangs, making Tracer flinch. Amelie could only scratch her girlfriend's furry head while sighing to herself.
The wolf licked her arm and oddly enough, she smiled this time. "Sweet, foolish girl."
