Hey hey howdy hey! Long time no read? Sorry I have been AWOL for a while, I just started up my second year of college and have been swamped with English assignments and life in general. I am still pretty stuck on chapter 3 of His Best Friends Girl, but do not fret I am still on board with it. The chapter is 98% done, I just need to do one final edit and make sure that it is exactly how I want the story to go. That story is almost done, I'll probably dish out 1-2 more chapters after chapter 3 and then call it complete. I am also still working on The Difference Between a Smile and a Smirk, the next chapter for that monstrosity should be done shortly as well. Anywho, this is just something that has been sitting in my folder for a couple of months now, I wrote this while having writers block I think and I just thought it was too short to share but here it is. Please enjoy, it doesn't have any cuss words (real shocker from me since I cuss like a sailor on the daily) and it is very short but its just some greens fluff.

Thank you for reading, and if you enjoyed it please review! XoXo ~Eli

Some nights were better than others. Some were full of scratches, blood, bits of hair on the floor, and bite marks covering one nights however, were like this night.

Peaceful.

Nothing but the sound of each other breathing filling the air surrounding the two of them. No welts or new bruises, just Buttercup laying on her back, Butch lying between her legs and having his head on her chest with her fingers wrapped up in his hair.

Nothing but peaceful.

She liked it better sometimes, though she wouldn't trade it for when things would be a bit intense; the quiet of the room engulfing her as he slept peacefully. She didn't really move much, didn't really want to move either, just staring at the ceiling and lightly petting his head as he snored softly on top of her.

She couldn't help but smile to herself, truly experiencing what she thought of as bliss.

The moments such as this one were the ones that she anticipated for, no matter how built up he or the whole world could get her, no matter how hard the fight was, or how feisty she was feeling, this peaceful moment was what she was really after.

The moment after everything was done being fought for, the after effects of the battle, the whole world shut out and nothing but the blissful sound of breathing filling her ears.

Her mind swimming with exhausted thoughts, none of which were violent during this time, only ones of how happy she truly was during a moment like this.

With him.

On a bed.

In a dark room.

The sheets tousled and halfway onto the floor along with shreds of clothing.

The whole world outside of her apartment buzzing with something new, but locked inside these walls was a moment of pure bliss.

Just her.

And him.

Quietly being together.
