"Stop hogging the grog you greedy pus filled maggot. Just cause you were involved in the final attack in the city, doesn't mean you don't have to share".

Grumbling as he was forced to give up the half empty bottle, the sallow skinned orc trooper shot his comrade a sneer as his yellow colored eyes turned towards the remmenants of their squad's dinner.

"Would be more inclined to share if you had managed to get us some higher quality meat. I heard tell the boys in the next company managed to get hold of some clergymen. And I'd wager an entire week's ration of grog that while we wasted our time trying to pick this stringy bastard out of our teeth, they got enjoy flesh that was both soft and juicy".

His words earning mutters of agreement from the rest of the group, as well as a glare from the one that was currently swigging from their limited stocks of liquor, the argument was prevented from escalating further thanks to the curt tone of their feasting squad leader.

"Stow it you lot. Our lord and master chose to reward us with fresh meat, and fresh meat is what we got. If I hear any more grumbling, I'll knife the pair in you in the gut before bringing you before the Generals for disloyalty. And trust me, by the time their done with you, you'll both be wishing you perished in the final assault".

As expected, talk of facing the wrath of the Supreme Generals was enough to put an end to the Orcs escalating disagreement.

"Th…theres no need for that. We're all very grateful with our lord's generously provide banquet. No need to bother the Generals with the concerns of us lowly grunts".

Accepting the groveling with a slight nod of his head, the higher ranked Orc pulled a piece of sizzling flesh off his squads cookfire before he mused on the relationship between Utumno's rank and file and it's leadership.

While Lord Morbus was viewed with both awe and respect by the lower ranks, who would follow each and every one of his commands loyally and without question, the same could not be said for his most trusted servants.

Yes the Supreme Generals commanded nearly as much respect and loyalty as the being who sat upon the Iron Throne, but whereas the remaining Shadowed Lord was venerated as a living god, his most powerful servants were viewed in a manner that was akin to a well groomed Warg.

Beautiful to look at, but with an unfortunate tendency to kill or maim anyone that dared to slightly irritate it. With the only exception to this rule being the one responsible for Utumno's rise to glory.

Slightly bowing his head in reverence at the though of their lord and master, the reflective Orc moved to carve another piece of meat from the human carcass. Only to immediately stop as he noticed the approach of one of his more powerful superiors.

Quickly springing to attention, and snarling at his fellow Orcs to do the same, the green skinned solider gave a respectful, if slightly nervous salute as their cooking fire illuminated the frowning expression of their crimson haired superior.

Though she was immensely honored by the trust her shape changing master had placed in her, in truth the red haired assassin secretly wished that Lord Morbus had assigned her a role that was more personal in nature.

Yes she understood the need to make sure that their victorious army wasn't caught off guard by some desperate attempt to reclaim the Theocracy's capital.

And yes she agreed with the plan to make sure that their newly acquired slaves understood and accepted their new found positions.

But since this was the first time her master had selected her to accompany him without the presence of a certain bat winged parasite, in Mara`s mind, those tasks could have been easily delegated to Angmar or one of the lesser Nazgul. For if that had been the case, she strongly suspected that she would have currently be enjoying the pleasure of her master's undivided attention instead of inspiring unease amongst the lower ranks of his great host.

Even if it did provide her with an outlet to vent her more

"Is everything alright here Squad Leader? I thought I heard some less than content voices originating from your men".

Though her tone remained cordial, each of the 8 Orc troopers, who had wisely followed the example of their unit leader when he noticed her impeding arrival, flinched as if she had just announced that they were to join their human meal on the fire.

Allowing her hand to slowly reach toward her blade to convey to them that she wouldn't wait long for an answer, Mara was largely unsurprised at the quickness of the Orc's response.

"Just a simple disagreement over portions Supreme General. I assure you that I have already dealt with them".

Giving a non committal hum at this response, an act which served only to increase the nervousness of the Orcs, the red haired assassin allowed her emerald eyes to flash with undisguised anger as she focused on the pair that had initially caught her interest.

"Is that so? I don't suppose it would be too difficult for you to give me a more detailed explanation about what transpired here? Cause after all, if the lower ranks are currently experiencing difficulties in performing their duties, it falls to me to…remove their problems".

Enjoying the looks of panic from her soon to be victims, Mara was prevented from acting on her more violent impulses thanks to the sudden appearance of one of her direct subordinates.

"Forgive the interruption General Mara, but Lord Morbus is requesting you're immediate presence in his quarters".

All thoughts of punishment forgotten as her servant delivered the news that she had been waiting for, the red haired assassin gave a nod of acknowledgement to the bowing Doppelganger.

"Then I shall leave at once. I suspect I won't be needing your services for the rest of the evening, so feel free to join in the celebration".

Receiving a grateful look from the deeply bowing shape changer, and doing her best tot maintain a steady stride as she made her way to her lord's tent, Mara couldn't help but expiernece a feeling of growing sense of excitement at the chance of utilizing a more…carnal method in increasing her master's power.

And considering that her flesh was warm with life instead of the cold of the grave, the emerald eyed red head suspected that her chances of accomplishing this were much higher than a certain leech.

Though slightly confused by what he had just witnessed, for he had thought that the Supreme General was incapable of such a mortal display, the blue homunculi nevertheless knew how to react in such a situation.

"Gesundheit"

Earning a wave of acknowledgement from the undead woman, Smeagol's momentary feeling of happiness was quickly ruined thanks to the angry chiding that spoke with his voice.

"Idiot. You don't talk to the Supreme Generalsess unless they talk to you Precious".

Clenching his fist in anger at this breach of etiquette, Gollum scowled with his shared features as his more naïve personality dared to contradict him.

"But its rude not to say something after a person sneezes Precious. Smeagol was only being polite".

Cowering as he sensed that his counterpart's anger at his retort, the two personalities of the creature were prevented from further arguing with themselves thanks to the amused tone of the undead beauty.

"You are both correct. If you hadn't said anything after my little…surprise, I would have been tempted to punish you for your lack of manners. If however there was no pressing reason for you to open your mouth, you would have been punished for failing to know your place".

Smirking as the warped creature bowed his head in what could only be called cowardly deference, Thuringwethil allowed her amused expression to melt away as she sensed the approach of one of her vampiric assassins.

"Forgive the intrusion General Thuringwethil, but you wished to be informed the moment Lord Morbus informed us of his triumph".

Nodding her head in satisfaction at the weaker vampire's message, the raven haired General wordlessly gestured for the blond undead to continue.

"Our master states that the capital of the foolish human nation has completely fallen to the might of his army, with plenty of new slaves and subjects to enhance the power of Utumno".

Smiling at this information, though there had been little doubt that her glorious master would do anything but triumph in his quest to conqueror the insects that had dared defy him, Thuringwethil's expression quickly morphed into a more irritated look as her underling continued her report.

"He also says that while General Angmar and the rest of the Nine will soon be returning to Utumno, he has stated that both he and General Mara will be remaining with the army until tomorrow morning".

Doing her best to keep her jealousy unde rcontrol, the raven haired vampire merely nodded her head before dismissing the weaker undead with a wave of her hand.

In truth, she had fully expected the red haired assassin to take advantage of her absence to finally enjoy the fruits of their bargain.

But hogging the…intimate attentions of their lord and master for an entire evening, when she had barely managed to enjoy his…abilities for 3 hours. That was going to far.

Fortunatly however, she knew of the perfect way to vent her frustrations.

"Smeagol, go and find the creature crafted by Lord Dancing Fool, and bring him before me. As useless as he is in spreading the glory of our lord, his…durability is something that will prove to be quite useful to me".

Receiving a bow from the blue eyed homunculi, Thuringwethil watched the pitiful being rush to complete his designated task. Idly considering if perhaps the dual named minion should suffer the same fate as her amphibian punching back.

Because while Gollum and Smeagol were more efficient than the regenerating binks, his inability to keep his mouth shut was rather annoying to put it mildly.

"Why you thinks the Supremes General wants to torture poor Binkses Precious"?

"Because Precious Master Morbus is not here to help her make babies".

"Babies? Oh that's wonderful precious. A little master to play with. But howses they gonna make one Precious"?

"I don't know. Gollum. Gollum. But since Bats General got angry at the mention of the Master being alone with flame haired Generalses, it probably has something to do with games only they can do".

And just like that, the beautiful undead woman decided that there were going to be 2 screaming fools under her heal instead of 1.

And that's another one done XD. Apologies if it's a bit short, but I think it's a decent enough filler until I consider how I want to go about developing the next stage of this story. Have more or less reached the point that I had envisoned when I first came up with this story (which of course was during the time when there was only 1 season of Overlord XD). So will need some time to consider the next stage. Beyond the Lizard arc of course XD.

Anyways, hopefully you all enjoyed this one.

Reviews welcome, flames definitely not
