4 years ago… End of School year

The past few months have been nothing short of amazing. I am top of my class, and dating Sebastian but that's not all, Tessa has become basically my sister and although his cousin is the spawn of Satan I trust Will with my life. Magnus is my best friend beyond Tessa but I think of the whole group as my family.

I didn't go home once this year and I am not one hundred percent thrilled with the idea of going back for the summer. I do miss Alec, Izzy and Simon but everything else in that town just screams old Clary and I like new Clary. Today is the last day of class but like any school we weren't doing anything but sitting there and talking with our friends.

"Tessa I really don't want to go back." I whine to her

"I know girl but you should, it's the right thing to do. Plus two things, one you will be glad you do even if it is just to see your three friends." she stops

"And two?" I inquire

"And two," she breathes "you can always come back if things go south." I nod my head

"Okay I feel a little better but still I don't want to see my parents or brother or Jace."

"Then stay with Simon. C'mon Clary you can do this." Just then the bell rings so we walk out of class with the teacher calling out to us to have a good summer break. We head to our dorm to pick up our stuff and then walk to where Mama Gray is waiting. We load our luggage in the car so that they can take some of it to store at their house over summer and I can take some with me. Just as the car gets started Sebastian runs out of the building.

"Clary!" I smile at him

"Hey Seb." he kisses me

"Something to remember me by." he smiles and runs off as I am still standing there awestruck. Since our first date we have gone out a couple more times and haven't necessarily made it official but it has been the best eight months of my life. Not just because of Seb obvisously but he has helped. I recover from the kiss and finish loading my bags, off to the airport I go.

JFK International Airport

I hadn't really called anyone since going over to London, I just got so busy I lost contact. I did however tell Si, Iz, and Alec what day I would be flying back the day I left, so I was expecting someone to be here to pick me up. I pick up my suitcase, I left most of my clothes in London, and head to where others were running towards loved ones. I look for Alecs tall head of black hair or Simons always noticeable curly locks, however I don't see either of them or Izzy. I figuare that they are just running late so I find a seat and wait I pull out my phone but as I go to send a message it dies. I suppose that happens when you are on it for roughly eight straight hours. I sigh and just wait. After it seems that I good amount of time has passed I go up to find a clock on the wall and see that my plane landed two hours ago. My heart drops, they forgot about me. I go to a taxi stand and get one home.

Present Day- A Few Days Later-School

I am sitting at lunch with Tessa, Magnus, Cec, and Alec when Jace comes and sits down beside us. I start to stand up,

"I suddenly just remembered I have somewhere I would rather be." I say as if we were in a cliche teen movie the rest of my table stands up getting ready to follow me.

"Wait Clary can I please talk to you? Alone?" Jace says. I am so sick of everyone suddenly wanting to be my friend now that I am what they would consider desirable. It makes me want to scream. However because I am a mature teeanger I do this,

"Attention everyone," I yell across the cafeteria as I stand up on our table "Many of you may not recognize me but my name is Clary and I used to go to school with you all. You would bully me and make me feel like shit. These are my friends, Tessa," she waves "Magnus," he bows " and Cecily." she just kind of smiles never really liking attention. "If any of you assholes approach any of us asking if we want to join you for lunch or come to your party again I will not hesitate to kick your ass from here to the middle of the Atlantic. Now that you all know how things are going to be working around here stop staring." I step down and turn to Jace "Does that help your need for a conversation?"

A Few Hours Later at the House

Alec has been spending a lot of time with us, my guess is because of Magnus but I would never say that to either of them. I am just going to let things run their course. Right now we are all sitting in the living room eating Chinese food and watching the newest episode of The Flash, a tradition of ours since forever. I look back to see Jess had fallen asleep, typical, and the Magnus and Alec were no longer in the room, interesting. Deciding that snooping could be dangerous for both my eyes and my sanity I just stay put. About an hour later they re-emerge and i wiggle my eyebrows at Alec and he ducks his head and blushes. I follow them into the kitchen,

"Anything you guys want to tell me?" I ask Magnus smirks at me

"So roughly two hours ago Alec and I went back into my bedroom," I stop him

"Lalalala. I don't recall asking for details Mag." he just smiles at me, someone's phone starts ringing.

"Oh that's mine I better go get it." Alec says and he leaves the room. I walk over to the fridge and grab a water bottle.

"Just so you know he wasn't out when I left." Mags nods

"Yeah he still isn't, but it's something we are going to work through together." I walk up and hug him.

"I am so glad you guys are in my life."

"Awe biscuit we are so glad your in ours too."
