"Papa?"
Jean-Luc groaned, rolling over and staring blearily at the small boy standing by his bed, "Remy… what are you doing? What time is it?"
"I-I-I- "
Almost instantly, Jean-Luc was awake. He knew that tone, he knew what had happened. Another nightmare. If he could go back in time and take Remy away from that cursed village, and raise him from the beginning, then he would.
"Come on…." He whispered, holding up the duvet as Remy crawled into the bed and latched onto him, "… what was it about this time."
"Y-You died!"
This stunned Jean into silence, "…. Pardon."
Remy reached up and gently brushed a small hand against Jean's forehead, "You were ill… people die from being ill."
"Aw, kiddo…" Jean winced. After having a relatively bad fever for a few days, he could understand why Remy was so scared. Especially after being banned from the room to avoid him catching it as well, "… I'm not going to die. Didn't Tante Mattie tell you that? Didn't she tell you about all her soups and how they were going to help?"
Remy nodded, but it was clear that he hadn't believed the older woman.
"Remy… I am not going to die. This I can promise you."
"Not ever."
"… Not any time soon."
The answer seemed to pacify Remy, who wiped away his tears and clambered into the bed, snuggling up close to his Papa.
Jean-Luc knew that he wouldn't be able to fall back asleep now… not with the way Remy's knees were digging into some very vulnerable areas.
It was going to be a very long night.
*****Kurt******
"I didn't realise this vas so important to you."
Kurt turned his attention away from his reflection in the mirror, to look at his Father, smiling shyly as he neatened up his collar and tie for what felt like the seventh hundredth time. "Vhat do you zink?"
"…. You look very handsome." Azazel strode over, actually neatening out the tie (rather than just messing it up further like Kurt was doing), "Is this… prom so important to you?"
Kurt shrugged, "I-I mean… it's the biggest social event of ze year. Everyone vill be zere and anyone who doesn't go, is considered an outcast."
"I didn't think you boys would care about things like zat?"
Another shrug.
"Is this because Ororo is invested in this prom."
His Dad sounded knowing, and Kurt found himself wincing slightly, "It's not like zat, I- "
"- Kurt." Azazel placed a gentle hand on his son's shoulder, "You know I do not mind, right? Ororo is a stunning girl."
"So… you vouldn't mind if vas going out vith her?"
"Not in the slightest."

Erik couldn't believe this was actually his son.
David almost never hid behind his legs, he was usually so outgoing and confident when meeting new people.
What was going on here?
"Heya Davie!" the new student giggled, waving at him with a cheeky grin on her face, "Wotcha doing?"
David shrugged, staying behind his Vati as he mumbled something. Whatever he said, the girl seemed to understand, her beam only widening as she waved him goodbye and skipped off down the hallway.
"Isn't that the new girl?" Erik asked, glancing down at his son, "Judy or something like that?"
"Jubilee." David muttered, "Her name is Jubilee."
"…. Any particular reason why she scares you?"
Another mumble, which caused Erik to roll his eyes, "Speak up David, you know how I feel about mumbling."
"She's really pretty!" David blurted out, "Really, really pretty!"
And then, Erik knew instantly what was going on. "Your first crush!" he beamed at his son, "Looks like you're growing up!"
"Nooooooo."
"Have you told your Dad?"
"Noooooo."
"Then I guess I will."
"No!"

"But it's cold out there!"
Jean-Luc rolled his eyes, "It's not that cold, you know that as well as I do." When Remy continued to pout, the older man sighed, "It's a stray dog… it's not coming in the house until someone checks it over and makes sure it's healthy."
"But- "
"- No buts. I know you think this isn't fair, but I need to make sure you're safe first and foremost. Once the dog- "
"- Wolfy."
"…. Once Wolfy has been checked out and declared healthy, then he can come into the house." As Jean-Luc fluffed up the child's pillow, his fingers brushed against something small and metallic, leading him to pull out a pair of cufflinks.
His cufflinks.
"Really Remy?"
His son just giggled and buried himself down further into the blankets, looking so adorable that Jean-Luc couldn't find it in himself to be angry.
"We'll get Wolfy checked out tomorrow." He bent down and kissed his son on the forehead, "But he's still not sleeping in your bed."
"Awwwwww!"
********Kurt********
"Azazel dear, your son's at the top of the tree again."
Azazel turned his attention away from his book, glancing up at the Christmas tree and sighing at the sight of Kurt giggling at the top, tiny teeth chomping on the star.
"Why is it, whenever he does something like this, he's my son, but when he's a perfect angel, he's yours." Azazel grumbled, teleporting up into the air and lifting his son into his arms, placing the star back before they teleported back to the ground.
"Because he get's all his bad habits off you." Raven reached out to take her son, only to yelp as the toddler teleported again, going back to the top of the tree, "Like that… he gets that off you."

Charles watched fondly from the doorway as Erik tucked David in, making sure the Captain America bedsheets were straight and Piglet (David's loyal companion) was safely tucked in next to him.
"Odpocznij, moje dziecko
Dzień się skończył.
Słońce zaświeci
Gdy przyjdzie poranek."
Charles recognised the lullaby as the one Erik often sang to Wanda and Pietro when they were little babies themselves… in fact, if Charles looked a little closer, he could just about see his oldest two huddled up in the same bed, well on their way to sleep as well.
Turning away, he headed back towards their own room, knowing that a story wouldn't be needed tonight.

Jean-Luc wasn't ashamed to admit that he might have used excessive force against the barn doors, where his son had been kept. He felt a little bit guilty when the child yelped, as the door came crashing down.
"Papa!" Remy went running into his arms, burying his face into Jean-Luc's chest, "Y'came! Y'came!"
"Of course I came mon petit ange." Jean whispered, running his fingers through Remy's hair soothingly, "I would never leave ya behind."
"How d'ya find me?"
"Dere is nowhere in dis country dat dey could hide you, where I couldn' find ya."
And personally, Jean-Luc would like to see them try.
**********Kurt********
"Dada."
Kurt just beamed up at him, one little fang peeking out.
"The cute look will not work on me." Azazel sighed, "Come on… say Dada."
"D-D-D-D"
"That's it… that's it!"
"Mama!"
Silence.
"Mama, mama, mama, mama!"
"Raven!" Azazel cried out, "You have brainwashed my son!"
"Our son!"
"Well our son, is a Mummy's boy!"
"Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama!"
******David*******
"Look at how little you are." Erik whispered, lying back on the bed, his new-born son swaddled up tightly in fine cashmere blankets, snuffling in his sleep, "I forgot babies could be this little."
"He didn't feel little." Charles groaned, pushing himself into a seated position, "He didn't feel little at all."
As Erik chuckled, Charles leaned over to run his fingers over David's cheek, smiling as the baby almost seemed to lean into the touch
"This is the last one though." Charles whispered, "No more."
"No more."
**********Remy**********
"I know you like Belladonna mon petit ange… but don't you t'ink it's a bit early to be talkin' about marriage and kids?"
"I t'ought you wanted grandkids?"
Jean-Luc shivered, "From Henri… from Henri! You are too young and if that ever happens, then Marius would not only kill you, he would kill me as well."
"Doesn't he want grandchildren?"
"Not from anyone with the last name Lebeau." Jean took a deep breath, "Please… all I ask, is dat you wait until you've got some actual hairs on your chin."
"I t'ink I found some dis morning!"
"Proper hairs! Proper ones!"
**********Kurt**********
Azazel had tried to be strong for his wife during the time Kurt was on a mission. When it became known that Kurt was officially MIA, he knew that he had to continue being the strong one.
Not all the time though.
As Raven spent some time with her brother, trying to cope with the fact that her son was missing, Azazel took some time to himself in the gardens. The leaves were just starting to fall after a long summer, the odd dots of orange, red and brown dotting the ground.
And then he heard the usual BAMF sound, indicating a teleporter.
Kurt clearly didn' expect to be wrapped up in his Father's arms so quickly, freezing completely… aside from his tail, which started to wag slightly.
"Don't read too much into this." Azazel pulled away, "Your Mother has been upset, and now she'll stop being upset. That's why I hugged you."
Kurt just beamed at him.
"Don't look at me like that." He cleared his throat, mumbling something about "missing" Kurt before teleporting away, missing his son's quiet reply.
"I missed you too Papa."
*******David******
Erik stared down at the tiny figure staring up at him, a scowl on the child's face, scared humans huddling together behind him.
Blue, accusing eyes that looked just like Charles's.
His one weakness.
"You promised you'd change!" His son screamed up at him, "You promised!"
Erik felt like his throat had closed up… what could he say to that? How could he say anything to his son, especially after abandoning him?
He had promised to change after the jail break.
And then he'd seen what the humans were planning, and he'd completely forgotten everything that he'd said to his youngest.
"You're just making things worse!" David continued to scream, "You just making them more afraid of us!"
And he was right.
It was moments like this, that Erik could safely say that David took after Charles. He always acted older than what he was.
It didn't mean he was going to stop though.

"Don't tell me that you never once suspected you might have a… well-known Father?" Sinister sneered at his captive, "The red eyes? Your power?"
Remy was silent, eyes squeezed closed as he desperately tried to ignore the older mutant.
"I should have chosen a more suitable female to hold my seed, but I was a little strapped for time. She was beautiful you know…. Your Mother. It was her hair that drew me in. Most ladies of the night have already sold their hair to pay for a drug habit… not her though." Sinister sighed in remembrance, "She was beautiful…. just like you."
Sinister moved closer and knelt down in front of Remy, "I was meant to be the one to pick you up off the streets, but Jean Luc beat me to it. He raised you to be good… I would have been a lot harsher with you. None of this…. Peace stuff."
"You would also have experimented on me! Jus' like you did before!" Remy couldn't help but scream out, memories of being locked in that tiny cell, pain rippling all over his body as Sinister and Sabretooth laughed at him, "You would have- "
"- No, no, no." Sinister was trying to be soothing… it wasn't working.
"You're my son, why would I hurt you?"
"You're not my Dad." Remy spat in Sinister's face, "And you never will be."
******Kurt*****
"Your Mother is worried about you."
Kurt rolled his eyes, refusing to look away from the ceiling. "I got detention, it is not a big zing."
Moving further into the room, Azazel shrugged. "Not according to your Mother. She is convinced that you have 'inherited all of your Father's bad habits'."
Kurt groaned, hands moving up to cover his eyes in exasperation. "I vas one detention!"
"I told her that, but she won't listen to me." Azazel shrugged, "Why were you in detention?"
"… It vas for a good reason."
"Not what I asked, and you know it."
Kurt was silent for a few seconds, before sighing. "Some of ze jocks were bullying Remy… making fun of the fact that he kissed a guy in the locker room. Zey were going to lock him in a locker, and I couldn't let zat happen so i- "
"- Locked them in the lockers instead." Azazel shook his head fondly, "A righteous cause then?"
"Ja."

"It's him, or you."
Magneto simply stared at them, face cast in shadow, hovering a few feet above the ground.
Stryker tightened his grip on the unconscious child, holding the plastic gun, which was loaded with plastic bullets, right up against the boy's head. "I mean it. Surrender, or you'll be down one child. And then you can go back to your precious Professor and explain why…. Maybe I'll even let you take him back."
This seemed to get through to the older mutant, as he slowly lowered himself back to the ground, removing his helmet as he went. Cold grey eyes stared at Stryker.
"Let. Him. Go."
Stryker waved Lady Deathstrike forwards. "This lovely young lady is going to cuff you. Only when I think- "
Before he could finish, sharp fingernails were right at his throat. Lady Deathstrike had his life in her grasp, and she didn't seem to be understanding why.
"Amateur mistake." Magneto sneered, pulling his limp son towards him using his belt buckle, "Plastic gun, plastic bullets and plastic handcuffs…. And you still bring her with you."
Stryker just smirked. "I know your weakness now."
"And I know yours." Magneto smirked, "Low IQ."
