Disclaimer: Kishimoto might be in lockdown and maybe left the right to Naruto behind?
It had been days since the meeting with the Hyuga clan head and I was yet to defuse the volatile situation between the two Jinchuurikis but thanks to the new responsibility placed onto my shoulders by Hiashi I couldn't give myself some time to do so.
The days had been spent looking for a new home for Hinata since I couldn't just pick any random place that caught my fancy and call it a day; it was of utmost importance to properly check the entire place, the rules and the contract specifications before signing the contract, reason why I had been without time to check in any of those two troublesome girls.
To begin with their contracts had many pages which I couldn't skim through the document who knew what would the small letters might be hiding, like what is the responsibility of the landlord and what isn't.
So after much considerations along with pros and cons I chose a mid size apartment which was relatively near my home.
"Please sign right here and here." The landlord pointed.
I complied. "Done."
He took away the contract and folded it into a scroll, which promptly stored it inside his coat.
"Very well, in two days we will have the apartment in top condition to move in." The landlord handed me the copy of our contract along with the keys.
"Thank you." I bowed before leaving the room.
Just as I passed through the door, Kimimaro already walked up to my side.
"Sometimes I forget that we are living in the wealthiest district of Konoha thanks to the Hokage, I mean 12 thousands a month is way too much for a medium size apartment. But the amount of zeroes on Hinata bank account is surprising." I commented.
"Are you going to use them, Kichiro-sama?" He asked a very good question that made me rethink of my originals intentions when Hiashi brought up the topic.
"Honestly Kimimaro? Yes, I will use a small fraction of her fortune to increase our budget, now I'm able to afford better medicine for you and send Haku more money."
"Don't you worry about Hiashi-sama reaction?"
"He won't mind, I'm not taking millions but a dozen of thousands which barely affect the overall amount, at least with this I can partially remove one weight from my shoulders that had been pestering me for years without end."
I would be an idiot if I didn't use at least some of that money for myself, I would not embezzle all the funds but just enough for myself.
And if Hiashi ever complained, I would easily excuse myself with the fact that using that little amount would solve some of my problems, which reduce my ever growing levels of stress and let me perform my duties better.
"What should we do?" He asked.
"We can only wait, Hinata will be discharged from the hospital in 4 days and we only need to report Hinata's new home so Hiashi can send her belongings." But since she was already disowned, nobody would pick her up and take or escort her towards her new home but me.
"Should I report to Hiashi-sama?"
I realized that reading too many documents clouded my mind from the most important part. "Yes...yes you need to inform him, it has completely slipped my mind."
He bowed before he changed directions so he could go to the Hyuuga district and relay the message, leaving me alone to finish what we had planned for the day.
"And I need to prepare dinner." I turned to the left towards the market district, the sun was still up meaning that I had some time to get some fresh ingredients and hopefully but a small snack for myself.
After buying some groceries I was ready to return home but without Kimimaro company I felt a bit lonely so I made a quick decision to pick up Naruto from her team training grounds. She was still mad as far as I could understand, but since I didn't pick a side, our daily routines hadn't been affected much and our relationship didn't suffer a blow.
Sadly, I couldn't say the same for Fu.
She kept her distance, barely speaking with any of us, and whenever it was time to eat, she would take her food and eat it inside her room.
However, when Naruto was gone then she would somewhat return to her old self.
It wasn't nice, better said it was stressful to have an ongoing civil war inside our home, even Kimimaro was getting overworked by both of them with chores.
Usually allowing them to solve their differences with their fist would have been an option if it wasn't for the fact that they had Bijuus inside them and they could easily manipulate their emotions especially in Naruto's case and in Fu's case I still had some doubts respecting Chomei true intentions.
With so many things in mind my short journey quickly became heavy with stress, I wished that Haku could be at Konoha and give me a long massage accompanied with a session of acupuncture. But it was a fool dream for the moment, Danzo was explicit to me to remain at Konoha while Haku still needed to stay at Wave supervising the growth.
With so many things on mind I barely noticed how short my journey was and I was already at the entrance of the training grounds.
And the first thing I found was a Jiraiya sitting on a log writing on his notepad, unlike his debauchery tendencies he wasn't smiling or giggling. He was dead serious of what he was writing, inciting my curiosity as well to discover what kept him so occupied.
"I expected you to be supervising Naruto training." I commented dryly, Hiruzen assigned him as Naruto's teacher after all.
He looked at me for a moment and shrugged. "Kid, is not necessary for me to be breathing on her neck every second of her life, she can always come back to ask me whenever she has doubts."
I rolled my eyes, he was somewhat responsible.
At least to an extent.
"Is she around?" I asked, looking at my surroundings for any signal of her presence.
He pointed with his thumb the forest behind him. "She and her team are a little deeper."
Then he continued to write on his notepad.
"So what are you doing?" I finally asked, trying to lean closer to get a better look at his current work. My eyes able to read some of his lines regarding the kemono girls I explained him some time ago.
"Just taking some notes for my next book, all those ideas are great in every sense of the word but when I started fleshing out my story, I found out that it as difficult to find connections and explanations to my readers without sounding like a fiction writer."
"Don't you write fiction as well?" I remembered one of his first works that I read once when I was a kid to kill time.
Jiraiya shook his head. "Just a couple of times when I just started my career as a writer besides I'm a novelist and take pride in my work!"
"All right, so what's your problem?"
"For example, I cannot just introduce these mythological characters out of thin air, they need backstory a reasonable explanation within literature folklore and much to my surprise I cannot come up with a reasonable explanation for a beautiful woman with animal traits."
I tilted my head in slight confusion. "Our world is filled with people that can breathe fire and jump unimaginable heights and on top of that we have animals who can communicate with us, how is that not enough to use as a base?"
"Reality and fiction are two different things and do not refer the summoning clans as animals; it's disrespectful unless you want to get beaten or eaten alive." He frowned.
I ignored the last part as I kept thinking a solution to his problem. "I thought I explained that all of them were spirits that can be both playful or malicious."
"I know, but is difficult to come up with proper explanations." He scratched his head before he crossed out a couple of lines on his notepad.
"Are they really necessary? I mean just write that it was a curious spirit about the human world and a man is willing to teach her, EVERYTHING." I put emphasis on the last part, it would enhance the whole thing of his erotic works.
"I wish it was that simple, if you read my other works then you should know how complex I like my stories."
"I did and I cannot deny that it was really good but sometimes simplicity is the answer to some problems." His Icha Icha while erotic has a complex but interesting story along with world building, difficult to not like the characters.
"Let me think for a moment…" He closed his notepad and looked at the sky.
With little to say, I passed him and went towards the direction he pointed where I might find Naruto.
AN: Well quarantine extended.
The whole atmosphere had gotten a little depressing to my taste, I mean I do not mind that much being inside home but the more I hear and how companies will be forced to do in order to survive gets you in your heart, for example, there is going to be MASSIVE layoffs and salary cuts at the company I used to work, still need to get my paycheck, and I worry for the people I met there. Many are good people working day to day to earn that paycheck, but now?
Also, my father will have to fire worker to keep the company running and his salary will receive a massive blow. If I was living in a first world country then I would be fucked but since I'm not then my situation isn't bad, there is going to be some cuts but nothing severe, just what I hear from Americans they are really fucked in every sense of the word, the culture of living paycheck to paycheck is biting them in the ass really hard.
