After a LOT of hopeless blunders into the wrong offices, I finally found the office of my new boss, Doctor Foster. After taking a deep breath, I knocked on the door three times and opened the door.
"Ah, Miss... Quinzel. Good of you to show up. 15 minutes late. On your first day, no less".
"I am so sorry Doctor, I know there's no excuse, but I got lost, what with the big halls an' all. It won't happen again. I swear it".
"It had better not Harleen. Now, here's your badge and coat, and I'll show you to your office. Your main patient will be allocated in your morning meeting at 9. And for God's sake do not be late for that!"
Before I could say another word, she was handing me my badge and coat, and began walking briskly down the corridor, and I had to run to keep up with her. We finally reached a door with 'Dr H. Quinzel' etched into the metal plate.
"This is you. Remember. Meeting. 9!"
Okay Harls. Gather. I'd just come back from an extremely long meeting with Doctor Foster, Doctor Reeves (who I had since found out was the head of the 'Intensive Treatment' or 'IT' unit, and several of the senior doctors. It was decided that my main focus was to begin treatment with Arkham's most famous inmate, The Joker. And it was safe to say I was terrified. I was flattered that they thought I was capable enough to handle him, but still. WAIT! What if this is a test? What if they're testing how much you can take?! Well... I'll show them.
My first session with The Joker was in two hours. Two hours! Oh God, I need to prepare...
