"Do you want something to drink? To eat? I think I have some leftover takeout from the other night." Carisi questioned as he opened his fridge, thankful for the burst of cool air that chilled his heated skin.

Gemma crossed her arms over her chest. "I'd rather just get whatever you need to say out of the way. I'm good with confrontation. You're just making me more nervous trying to distract me."

"I didn't want to spook you." Carisi admitted, closing his fridge. "When Amanda confronted you, you ran to Jimmy. You ran away from your parents, away from me. My God, I thought I did something that sent you back to him."

"You make me feel more important than the princess of Whales." Gemma sighed. "But, Amanda made sense. I was fantasizing with you. I've spent a lot of my life longing for better. When I'm with you, there is nothing better. I guess she just forced me to see what others see in me, and you don't deserve a girl who's been through the system - legal or human trafficking."

Carisi shook his head. "You still don't get it, do you?" He held her hips in his hands, pulling her flush against his chest so she was forced to look up and meet his eyes. "You could've been with the entire US Army; it doesn't matter to me. I don't see you the way Amanda does or the way others do. Do you know what I see?" She shook her head. "I see a beautiful girl who is tougher than she looks, smarter than people give her credit for, and ballsy enough to be who she is despite everything she's been through. That's the girl I love."

Gemma smiled, biting her lip. "You love me?"

"More than the princess of Whales." Carisi chuckled, dropping his forehead to hers. "I thought I lost you, and it was the worst feeling in the world. Promise me that you won't do that again. Promise me that whenever you are feeling the need to run or hide that you will talk to me."

Gemma clasped her hands behind his neck. "I promise." She leaned up and kissed him softly, giggling when he quickly deepened the kiss. "I love you too, Sonny."

The moment she said the words, Carisi picked her up and laid her on his couch, quickly moving between her legs. She gasped into the kiss, her legs quickly tightening around his hips. But, she didn't let the sudden movement falter her movements. Her hands snatched the bottom hem of his t-shirt, pulling it over his head and tossing the item over the back of the couch. The action caused him to pull back from her so his chest could be bared. But, he didn't fall back on top of her like she expected.

His hands pulled her to sit up, shedding her sweater and tank in seconds and leaving her in her bra. That's when he fell back to her, fingers burning bared flesh on both parts. His chest pressed against her stomach as he kissed down her neck, breath creating goosebumps on her chest. The action hit her between her legs, and she moaned softly. "Sonny? Baby, you gotta stop now if you don't plan on taking me to your room."

His lips continued down until he pressed a kiss just below her belly button, right above her jeans. "Do you want me to take you to my room?"

"God, yes." Gemma breathed.

Carisi smiled against her skin before moving his hands to the button of her jeans. He tugged them down with her panties just enough to seek her out with his tongue, and he was rewarded when her hips bucked off the couch towards him. Gemma reached down, cupping the back of his head. Her legs were cramping in the odd position her jeans had trapped them in, but he felt too damn good to stop him.

She felt his hands tug her bottoms off completely, tossing them aside while his tongue never left her. Her stomach clenched when his thumb pressed to her clit, and she reached down again to cup his face in her hands. "Sonny, wait a minute."

He lifted up his face a few inches, still keeping his position between her legs. His lips were swollen and wet, and it sent another pang between her legs. "What's wrong?" He sounded worried, out of breath, and she could see the panic on his face.

Quickly shaking her head, Gemma kissed him, sucking his bottom lip into her mouth. "Nothing. We are going to revisit this later, but I don't want our first time to just be my first time." She ran her fingers through his chest hair, trailing down to his groin. "I want you with me." She unbuttoned his jeans as the last words came out. "In me."

"Hold on." Carisi grunted before kissing her, picking her up by her thighs. She wrapped them around his waist, clinging to his shoulders as he carried her back towards his bedroom. Instead of laying her on the bed, he set her down on her feet, steadying her on shaking legs.

Gemma reached behind her and removed her bra as Carisi pushed down his jeans and briefs. He kicked the clothing away from his feet as he took her in and she him. When their eyes met again, she took the first step towards him and pulled his lips down to hers. It didn't take any more encouraging for his hands to come back to her hips, fingers pressing into her lower back. She ran her own hands up to his stomach and pushed on his chest gently.

Her lips didn't leave his though as his knees hit the bed, not when he sat down on the edge with a groan. Not even when she climbed up after him, placing both knees beside him and straddling him. And, definitely not when his erection pressed against her stomach. She moaned into his mouth and wrapped her fingers around his member. His hands tightened on her hips, urging her to raise up. "I want you, Gemma."

"You have me." Gemma whispered back before raising her hips. His hand slid under hers and positioned himself between her legs. Both their hands gripped for other flesh though when she lowered herself down onto him. Her eyes closed on their own. His forehead pressed against hers, lips barely grazing hers. She smiled, even as her breathing split up her words. "You have me forever."

"Then, open your eyes." Carisi panted out. She opened her eyes, seeing him staring up at her. He smiled at her as she began to move against him. "I want to see you."

"Do you want my peas?" Olivia asked, digging through her takeout with here chopsticks. "I tell them no peas every time."

Elliot chuckled as he walked out of the kitchen, sitting down beside her on the floor. Their takeout boxes sat scattered on the coffee table, and the TV was on some old sitcom they hadn't really been paying attention to since their food arrived. He unwrapped his own chopsticks, sticking them into her box. "I will take your peas, yes."

She helped him pick out the small green vegetables until she was sure she had gotten them all. He leaned back against the couch, but his attention didn't turn to his own food. He watched as she dug in, staring up at the TV now to understand what was going on. In all the years he'd known her, the sight was a familiar one. Whether it was back at her old apartment talking over beers or across their desks with case files surrounding them, it was comforting. The smiles, the coffees, the secret smiles and knowing looks. The way they worked so in sync even when they felt like they were on different planets.

Their shared child didn't affect them they way he thought it would. They had their moments of weakness or wonderings, hopes and dreams of what their daughter was doing with their life, but it never came between them or their partnership. Even when she confessed she had applied for adoption, he fully supported her. Just like when Kathy told him she was pregnant with Eli. Olivia helped even though it put strain on both of them.

They were each other's champions, each other's support system, even when they should've been tearing everything down to start anew together.

And, maybe their familiarity was why nothing ever came of them while they were partners. Their friendship kept them going, certainly longer than most relationships should've gone on. He was content to walk with her in stride, protect her on the job, and occasionally see this view when the nights got late.

Reaching out, he cupped the back of Olivia's neck, capturing her attention. "You know I love you, right?"

Olivia smiled, turning towards him slightly. "I know you do. I love you too." She squeezed his forearm, kissing the inside of his wrist. "Is something wrong?"

He shook his head with one of their secret smiles. One she'd seen many times. "Just thinking about this, us. You feel like home. You always have." He must've said something that she felt too, because she leaned forward and kissed him gently. Her eyes met his, and she had her own knowing look.

Their attention though was broken when the front door opened. Both of them smiled seeing Gemma walk in with a grin of her own. "Hey, how did your talk with Carisi go?" Elliot asked as she sat down across from them on the floor, digging through the takeout boxes herself.

"Uh," Gemma bit her bottom lip with a chuckle, "we are definitely back together." She laughed when Elliot rolled his eyes, nearly throwing his food back onto the coffee table. "You asked! What was I supposed to say?"

"Didn't your parents ever teach you to lie to them? It's an essential part between parents and their adult children." Elliot smirked at her. He jutted his chin towards her. "You know you're too good for him though, right?"

Gemma scoffed. "Hardly."

Olivia leaned forward, setting her own food aside. "We mean it, baby. You don't know how special you are to all of us. We adore you." She grabbed another set of chopsticks from the bag and handed them to Gemma. "We're lucky to have you as a daughter, and that will never change. Despite our giving you up, you have always been wanted. We gave you up because you were worth giving better chances. You're worth it, Gem."

Elliot smiled seeing Gemma tear up, her emotions peaking through the curtain. "Even if you do pretend to be a nun."

Gemma giggled behind her hand, clutching her chopsticks between her fingers. "Oh, I'm using Sister Maria again. You Catholic boys can't help but squirm when you see a habit." She laughed when Elliot glared at her. "C'mon, Paps. It could come in handy."

"Poor Carisi is going to have our sweet little blue-eyed devil to deal with." Elliot stated as he turned to Olivia.

Olivia shrugged, smirking over at her daughter. "I think he's rather smitten with our little devil." She leaned over and kissed him. "Besides, she'll be easier to handle once he learns how protective of a Daddy you are." She pointed her chopsticks at Gemma. "So, what's our plan? What's your plan? Are you going to move in with Carisi?"

"Whoa, move in?" Elliot questioned with a frown. "Don't you think it's a little early?"

"If I move out, you have more chances to hook up with Mom." Gemma declared with a smirk, causing Olivia to blush furiously.

Elliot paused, glancing between Olivia and Gemma. "I still want to say no, but you'll have to come back to me with that in a couple days." He stated, making both Olivia and Gemma laugh.

"It may be early, but I don't think there's going to be moving on between Carisi and our daughter." Olivia reminded him as he dug into his food.

Elliot frowned again, rolling his eyes. He turned his look to Gemma before smirking at her, a playful glint in his eyes. "Alright, I'll buy your habit, Sister Maria. You can wear it to your Catholic boy's apartment."
