Hello everyone ^^, soooo, my plan was to put everything (all the plot-twists and answers) into this one chapter, but the chapter got too long. So, I guess you'll have to wait a bit longer for the big reveal. Hope you guys enjoy it anyway and thank you for all the comments, follows and faves.
Oh, and one more thing, I changed some things in this chapter, because it wouldn't ad up with my planned storyline. Hope you'll not be angry with me for that. I promise that the changes are not that big…just small ones.

I was so scared. To watch those three stepping into the clearing, their eyes shining red even from a distance...it gave me shivers that ran down my spine. Carlisle pushed me behind him as he stepped forward. Was I to follow? Would I be more suspicious if I'd just kept on standing here? Edward had a tight grip on Bella's wrist as he made her follow him. So, I guess there is no other way.
Damn it! All this time I was around the Cullen's…vampires that wouldn't harm me at all…it made me a whiney stupid child. Humans really don't appreciate the Cullen's diet enough!
I followed them while putting confidence in every step I made. I just hoped so much that Carlisle's cardigan was enough to make them think that I was one of them. Even if I wasn't as graceful or beautiful like them…
The one in the middle suddenly held up the ball, which Jasper hit over those trees a few seconds ago: "I believe this belongs to you." He announced with a velvety voice. It gave me chills. He sounded so different then the Cullen's.
With a small flick of his wrist the ball flew towards Carlisle who caught the ball effortlessly: "Thank you." His voice suddenly completely different as well. Maybe this was some kind of a dominance battle…
Whose voice was the creepiest and more threatening…or something like that…
I stood now beside Bella at the far end, while Edward was on her other side. Edwards face intensely watching this dude with the blond hair. I was honestly so scared of him right now that I couldn't even make fun of his weird wig. This wasn't a weird fantasy world anymore. This was real. He could rip our hearts out in seconds without us even realizing it.
So, as slowly as I could I looked towards him seeing his red eyes looking right back at Edward. Shit! Why was sparkly pants looking at him like that…it was way too suspicious. Now this weird dude knows that something was up!
"I'm Laurent and this is Victoria…" The one in the middle started to introduce himself before he nodded towards his left to the red head: "…and James." The blond-haired dude titled his head like a real predator, ready to jump at us in any second.
Fucking shit! I head to keep myself from shaking. Everything was too much right now. Seconds ago, I didn't feel the cold but now, with all the adrenalin…my whole body shook, and my hands became sweaty and cold.
"My name is Carlisle, and this is my family." Dr. Cullen announced while looking at all of us, his eyes looking straight at mine for a few seconds longer and I couldn't help myself but to just give him a nod. I was fine, Bella was fine…damn it…he was doing fine, we needed to get this over with…maybe it changed, maybe Bella will be saved, and this dude won't chase her. Maybe I changed the storyline right here…
"I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something of a mess for us." Carlisle looked over towards Laurent again as he accused them.
"Our apologies. We didn't realize the territory had been claimed."
"Yes, we maintain a permanent residence nearby."
Laurent suddenly turned towards James with an amused smile: "Really..." It made me look towards James as well, but he was still completely fixed on Edward. Sparkly pants! Stop! This is not the time to read weirdos minds and letting them know that you want to kill them…
"…Well, we won't be a problem anymore. We were just passing through." Laurent continued to say.
"The humans were tracking us, but we led them East. You should be safe." Holy shit her voice…it was so unnerving. You'd think that it can't get worse from Laurent…this red head was totally slithering every word out. It was unnerving.
"Excellent."
Laurent suddenly had a smile on his face again while looking at all of us: "So, could you use three more players?"
Hell nah! Heeeell no! we don't need you guys here! Take this weirdo with you and this snaky chick right here and leave! We are not in the mood to make new friend right now!
Bella leaned her body further towards me as if she was searching for comfort. Without hesitation I put one hand on her other shoulder to let her know that no matter what happens, I was there.
The situation was even more tense now. Everyone looking over towards Carlisle to see his reaction.
"Oh, come on, just one game?!" Laurent pressed further with a smile on his face. I saw how Emmett and Jasper started to ease up. Carlisle sighed before he nodded: "Sure. Why not…" his eyes wandering towards mine again before he continued: "…three of us were leaving. You can take their place. You bat first." And with that he threw the ball towards Laurent but suddenly the redhead caught it right before Laurent's face. She had this evil smirk on her face while her mouth opened to let out more snaky words: "I'm the one with the wicked curve ball."
"Oh, I think we can handle that." To my surprise Jasper answered her. Him and Emmett somehow getting all pumped up for this while my knees were shaking.
My eyes wandered over towards James to see him watching Bella now. God damn it!
The red head, Laurent and the Cullen's started to go to their spots but damn sparkly pants was still standing there with Bella. He was looking like he was about to puke from reading James thoughts.
This was not good! I have to do something or we'll all gonna die. I walked behind those two and grabbed them both on their jackets and started to pull them backwards. This seemed to make Edward finally move. This James dude finally moved as well. I breathed out in relief seeing all of us finally getting away from this creep. Bella took my wrist, squeezing it tightly as I started to drag her away. I looked towards her when I saw out of the corner of my eye, James coming to a halt and taking a deep breath. Fuck! The wind ruffled her hair up…so that's why Carlisle scooped my hair into his cardigan. It was carrying my sent of a human. Damn it, Edward! Why didn't you make sure that you rubbed your scent off on her like your father did!
James head whipped towards us and he lurched into a crouch like a true predator ready to jump at Bella. His nostrils flaring excitedly.
"You brought a snack!" He announced and in seconds all of the Cullen's were pressing me and Bella behind them. Loud hissing noises could be heard and out of reflex I pulled Bella behind myself, standing protectively in front of her. Chin high up, to show them that they could try! I am not letting this girl behind me die, even if I had to fight those freaks on my own.
A few snarls were directed at me from the red head herself. She probably figured that I didn't like her snaky self at all. Carlisle propped himself up to be right into her line of sighed so that she would stop directing her aggressions towards me. Fucking knew that she was the one that would want to fight me. Stupid barefooted chick!
"The girl is with us! I think it's best if you'll leave." Carlisle announced with authority in his voice.
James looked passed me right at Bella and I couldn't help myself but to push her away from his sight. It made him look at me, but he soon lost interest and stole glances at the pieces he could see of her.
Laurent who was moments ago in a crouching position as well started to stand up with his hands going upwards, showing us that he meant no harm: "I can see the game is over. We'll go now." He started to walk backwards. His hand finding James arm: "James." He pressed the blond weirdo into giving up. James started to stand up his eyes desperately trying to steal glanced at Bella, but I wouldn't let him. His eyes suddenly found mine again and like the dumb girl I am, I narrowed my eyes at him daringly. Why the hell would I even do that! I have no freaking chance against him!
What if he realizes that I was a 'snack' as well…I'm screwed then.
To my relief his eyes went over to Edward before he finally turned around and swung an arm around the red head. They started to walk off, and I felt my lungs fill with air again. Was I holding my breath? Shit!
Carlisle immediately turned towards me. His hands on both my arms. I just realized that I had them propped up to cocoon Bella behind my back. I lowered them again feeling them shake: "You did great." He announced with worry in his eyes. Bella still had a grip on my cardigan.
"Edward, get Bella out of here."
I felt a hand wrap around my arm, starting to drag me towards one of the other cars.
"Wait! Wait…what about Gen!?" Bella screamed out in distress. I looked towards her not being able to say anything. It was like…my body moved on its own. Following the persons instructions that was dragging me.
"Genesis is safe. They didn't realize that she is a human. She is safer with Carlisle right now. If James sees her with you, he'll know and attack her as well."
Bella got into the Jeep with Edward and I still heard her distressed voice: "Wait, so he'll come after me now…"
And that was all that I was still able to hear before the car in which I sat in started to drive into another direction.
"Genesis, are you with me?" It was Dr. Cullen who was driving beside me.
"…uhm…yeah…" I answered, not sure why he was asking. He glanced towards me before he watched the bumpy road again: "You went into a mild shock. We will bring you to our house. You'll stay there until this is taken care of. Our scent there will keep them away. He will follow Bella's scent."
"But…but she is in danger. I can't just leave her alone now…" He interrupted me with a stern voice: "You don't understand, it's easier for us that he has only one target. We only have to watch Bella. If he figures out that you are a human too…he'll come after you too…"
I kept quite for the rest of the ride. I could tell that he was in so much stress right now and I was not making this any easier with my petty demands. What can I do against James…absolutely nothing…
He would break me like a small branch…
Suddenly without any warning Carlisle hit the brakes. I had to stop myself from falling forward by holding a hand out against the dashboard.
"Genesis, you'll stay in the car." Dr. Cullen announced with a snarl. All this time he was so gentle and caring…it was unnerving to see this side of him. I looked up at him to see him staring something down. I followed his eyes and gulped. We were at the driveway of the Cullen residence and right in front of our car was none other than Laurent.
He looked at us with wide eyes before he held up his hands again. Laurent was saying something that my human ears couldn't pick up.
Carlisle turned toward me: "No matter what happens. You'll stay in this car until one of us gets you?"
I weakly nodded before he got out. He took the car keys with him, locking the car from the outside. Did he really think that I was so stupid to just walk out after witnessing all this?
I didn't even realize that Alice arrived as well, until she walked past the car, towards Carlisle and Laurent. They were talking something before they went into the house.
Fuck…how is this safe? It's already getting dark outside and they left me here…in this car…
I screamed up when the car was suddenly unlocked. My door was opened and there stood Alice with her hand stretched out for me to take it. Sadness was all over her face: "It is safe…I'm so sorry, Genny." Her voice not cheery at all anymore. It was unusual to see her like that. I didn't like it at all…
"You didn't do anything. I'll be fine Alice."
I took her hand and she led me into the house. Laurent was still there. He looked up at me with confusion all over his face.
"She is human…" It was like he stated a fact instead of a question.
"We hope that you can keep this from those two. Genesis and her sister are very dear to our family. In fact, they are a part of our family." Carlisle's voice haled through the house. He wasn't loud…nor really stern, more like imperious.
"Your secret is safe with me, like I said, I don't want to have anything to do with those two anymore."
Alice took my arm and made me sit between her and Carlisle.
"So, you're saying that it is not easy to outrun him? What do you suggest?"
"The best would be to get rid of him. He is obsessed with his preys. He doesn't stop until he gets them." My heart started to pound furiously.
Bella…I'm so sorry…if I had payed more attention to the movie, I could have prevented this. I'm so stupid!
Alice laid her hand onto my shoulder to get my attention: "Bella and Edward are on their way here. She made a scene in front of your father, that she wants to leave Forks, so that your father is safe. When she arrives, you'll have to call Charlie and tell him that you'll go after her to bring her back. Tell him that she left you behind with us and you don't know what happened. It will give us more time and your father won't question why you're not coming home."
I nervously ran my hand through my hair, forgetting that I still had Rosalie's cap on. It fell behind me onto the sofa: "I'm… I'm not sure if I can do this…"
"It is alright, Gen. It's for your father's safety. Think of him…"
That's right, dad…we need to keep him safe. He has nothing to do with this and James can't get to him.
Oh god, dad…he will be so heartbroken…he told me to keep Bella safe and I messed up. I messed up so bad…he won't forgive me if something happens to her.
Suddenly the rest of the Cullen's came marching in with Bella in tow.
I jumped up and walked over to her to hug her, she immediately returned the hug: "Oh my god, Gen!" she breathed out with a shaky voice: "what do we do?"
Well, we go and hide in a while until someone rips this dude apart…I don't know, what to do!
"We will do whatever the Cullen's tell us to do."
She nodded and started to part from me. All this while we completely ignored the distress in the living room. I completely forgot that Edward didn't know that Laurent came here with a peace offering…aka Information's about James.
Alice suddenly handed me my phone, at this point I didn't even question how she got it, because I'm pretty sure that I lost it somewhere, during the stress that occurred while we still were on the clearing.
"It's your turn, Genny. Everything will be alright. You'll go into the next room so that everything is quite while we prepare everything. Tell him what we talked about."
Alice rubbed my shoulder soothingly and I could just nod. We need to keep Charlie safe…
I walked out of the living room, crossing the hallway and right into a huge room that seemed to be an office…
My hand was shaking as I went through the contacts on my phone. Oh god… "Home"
Take deep breaths Genesis! Deep breaths! As soon as I pressed the call button, I held it up to my ear.
It only rang once until Charlie got to the phone: "Hello? Bella? Gen?" His voice sounded broken.
I never heard him like that, and it broke my heart to do so. This poor man…
"Dad…" Fuck! My voice was shaking, I had to compose myself before I continued.
"Thank god, Genny…where are you? Where is Bella…what happened?"
"Dad, Bella ran off…she was fighting with Edward about something…I don't even know what. She left me behind with the Cullen's…"
"She said that she'll leave. She packed her stuff…I'm gonna come and get you." He announced and I immediately panicked.
"NO! Dad, no…me and the Cullen's are off to get her back. I'll get her back, dad."
I heard a few sniffing sounds as if he was crying but…Charlie couldn't be crying…right? Please don't cry, dad.
"Gen, please…I can't lose you too…"
"You won't, dad. I'll come back with Bella. I'll get her back. Everything will be fine. No matter what happens, I'll get her back."
He sighed loudly and another sniffing sound could be heard: "Alright, please…stay safe. I love you, Genny."
A tear started to drip down my face as I gulped a few times to get a grip on myself again: "Love you too, dad."
And I hung up. Cold arms started to wrap around me from behind. I didn't even care who it was I just needed that.
"Everything will be alright. Trust us Genny." It was Alice's voice. I nodded before I tried to turn around while wiping the tears of my face: "Okay, what is the plan. What do we do?"
She dragged me with her to the garage where everyone was in action. They got even walkie talkies out and gas-tanks. They put everything into one vehicle.
"I've had to fight our kind before. We're hard to kill." Jasper suddenly announced not really making any of this any better.
"But not impossible. We'll tear him up." Edwards jaw was clenched as he declared war onto James.
"We'll rip him apart with our hands, then burn the pieces." For a second, I questioned Emmett's sanity, because as he said that he had this weird twinkle in his eyes…was it bloodlust?
"I don't relish in killing another creature. Even a sadistic one like James."
"What…and let him kill Bella, Laurent made it clear…he won't stop." I couldn't hold myself back from attacking Carlisle right there.
"Genesis is right…" Rosalie announced before she continued: "…it's us or him. At this point he'll attack us as well."
"This is insane. You can't put yourselves in danger like this for me…Gen?" Bella was horrified as she spoke. Her eyes desperately searching for my support but this time I couldn't support her at all. I will not hold the Cullen's back…just as I won't hold back when things really get out of hand. Even if I have to die in the process…
"Too late." Rosalie answered her with a glare making Edward even madder than he already was.
Edward grabbed two pair of keys from a hook that was on the wall. He threw one to Dr. Cullen.
"I'll run Bella south, while you lead the tracker away."
Carlisle immediately contradicted: "No, Edward. The tracker thinks you won't leave Bella. He'll follow you."
Yeah after the staring contest of James and Edward he'll for sure know that Edward wouldn't leave Bella…
"I'll go with Bella. Jasper and I will drive her south." Alice announced with her twinkling voice.
"I'll come too." I jumped forward towards Bella but was held back by a cold and strong arm of Rosalie: "You won't. You're not his target, don't make yourself one and don't make this harder for us."
"But she is my sister! I need to protect her!"
"Rosalie is right. It will be safer for you if you stayed here until we come back." Dr. Cullen's eyes found mine as he spoke.
"I don't care about my safety…" I was just about to rant again when Bella interrupted me.
"Genny, please! Listen to them, you said yourself that we should do what the Cullen's say."
Damn it! I walked over to her and hugged her once more: "Bella, stay safe and don't do stupid things." She nodded before we parted so she can get into the car.
"Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?" Sparkly pants suddenly asked Alice and without any hesitation she nodded. He gave her the second pair of keys, before he walked to Bella's suitcase, grabbing a few jackets: "Rosalie, put this on so the tracker will pick up Bella's scent."
Rosalie who crossed her arms in front of her chest threw the Jacket beside her on a small table: "Why should I? What is she to me? Just a danger you've inflicted on us."
Carlisle was just about to say something when I walked over and took Bella's jacket into my hand that she just threw away seconds ago: "Please, Rosalie…she is my sister…if I could do it, I would but I can't so I'm depending on you guys…please."
Carlisle laid a hand onto my shoulder: "She's a part of this family now. And we protect our family."
He gave my shoulder a light squeeze. Rosalie's eyes piercing into mine before she sighed annoyed and put the jacket on. Carlisle took another cloth from Bella's suitcase holding it in his hand before he hits the door open.
"Genesis, stay inside. If anything happens…we'll try to come as fast as we can, but you should be safe here. We'll handle this and we will bring Bella back safe."
Dr. Cullen had both hands on my shoulder as he talked to me in a soothing voice. I just nodded and watched as he climbed into a SUV. Everyone else following. Alice and Jasper climbing into the car where Bella was in. She had her window down and was talking to Edward.
As soon as they were finished, everyone drove off and just like that…I was alone in this huge house.
Useless…weak…alone.
Everyone was in danger, because of one stupid mistake. Because I made fun of it all along…they were real…real lives were in danger. People who were so nice. People that don't deserve this.
