Oikawa hated Kageyama. That's how it had always been. He hated Kageyama for making him look worthless in front of his parents and his friends.

That's what he told himself, but he knew it wasn't true. Somewhere in his heart, there was a special place reserved only for Kageyama.

After all, it was Kageyama, who resembled Oikawa's deceased little brother.

Today was Aoba Johsai's practice match against Karasuno, and Oikawa had no intention of losing to Kageyama.

"Oikawa. Oikawa. HEY TRAHYKAWA PAY ATTENTION WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!" Iwaizumi yelled as he thwacked Oikawa on the head.

"Sorry," Oikawa replied without any of his theatrics and quietly began getting changed into his uniform. For some reason, he felt like something very bad was going to happen today.

Iwaizumi frowned at Oikawa. He had never gotten such a dull response before. Almost immediately, concern for his friend replaced his anger.

"Oikawa? Are you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine Iwa-chan!" Oikawa said letting his false smile fall on his face like the perfect mask it was.

"Oikawa...you can't fool me with your fake smiles," Iwaizumi said.

"Hm what are you talking about Iwa-chan?" Oikawa said, tilting his head to one side, the smile still plastered on his face. He knew it wouldn't fool Iwaizumi, but he still gave it a shot hoping that luck was on his side. Unfortunately, today was not his day.

Iwaizumi grabbed Oikawa and put him in a choke hold stating, "If you don't tell me what going on right now, I will cause you some serious discomfort." This point was punctuated but his arm tightening the tiniest bit around Oikawa's throat.

Oikawa groaned realizing that there was no way of getting out of this.

"But Iwa-chaaaaaan," he began whining hoping that his friend would just let it be.

"No. Not listening until you want to tell me whats going on," the other boy said, once again tightening his grip fractionally.

Oikawa tried to pry Iwaizumi's arms off of him but failed. He knew Iwaizumi wouldn't actually hurt him, but this position was killing his back.

"Iwa-chan?"

"What."

"I have a really bad feeling that something terrible is going to happen today...its the same feeling as l-last time."

Oikawa's voice broke halfway through the sentence as memories from that horrible day flooded through his head. The screams, the blood, and the pain on his mother's face. None of it would ever go away.

"Oh Bakakawa," Iwaizumi sighed. "Why didn't you just tell me?" he wrapped his emotional friend in a hug.

"There's only a practice match today, nothing will happen to you, I promise." he said softly in Oikawa's ear.

Oikawa sniffed brushing away a tear before replying "It's not me I'm worried about..."

"It's always someone close to me that gets hurt. You and Tobio-chan..." Oikawa trailed off before he became serious.

"Iwa-chan promise me you'll be careful today."

"Don't worry Crappykawa. I won't get hurt. I swear it."

Oikawa relaxed after hearing his best friends promise.

"Alright." Oikawa took in a deep breath.

"NOW LETS GO KICK SOME KARASUNO BUTT!"

*Smack*

"OWWWW IWA-CHAAAAANNNNNN! THAT HURT!"
