Toddler Charles was chewing on a toy when Jason pulled it away.

"You're not baby anymore," Jason squeaked.

Charles pouted and tugged it back, "Don't care."

"Only baby chew toys or puppy," Jason shook his head, "You baby."

Charles pushed Jason, "Am not a baby. You're stupid."

"Nah ah, you're stupid!" Jason stuck out his tongue.

"Hey, hey," Jessica wandered in to see the two toddlers fighting, "Nobody is stupid, stop fighting you two."

"Mommy," Charles stood up clumsily, "Jason took my toy."

"He was eating it like a baby," Jason stood up too.

"Hush, hush," Jessica chuckled, "We don't take each others' toys, remember?" he gave Charles back his toy, "He's allowed to bite it if he wants."

Charles hugged his toy tightly against his chest, "Thank you, mommy."

Jason crossed his arms and huffed.

Jessica smiled and bent down as she pulled something from behind her back, "I got you both something," she handed over two black hoodies, "It's getting so cold out, I want you both to wear these and be warm, okay?"

Charles looked at his new hoodie, "Looks nice, mommy. Is like the one you have! Thank you!"

"Thank you mommy," Jason pulled on his hoodie, "Is a bit big but okay! I will grow!"

"Okay, off now," Jessica took Jason's hoodie, "I want to wash them before you wear them, okay?"

Charles dug his hands into his pockets and shook his head, "No, no, I wear now."

Jessica chuckled and went to unzip her son's hoodie, "No, honey, later. We always wash new clothes first," she started to pull at the jumper.

Charles tugged back, "No, no," he cried, clutching what he could of the hoodie in his hands, "I like it. Want it now. Can be like mommy."

Jessica ran a hand through his hair, "I promise I'll give it back, okay?"

Charles sniffed and wiped his eyes.

"Oh, honey," Jessica kissed his forehead, "It's just for a little while, baby."

"It's so warm and snuggly," Charles mumbled, finally letting his mom take the hoodie.

"It will be even more snuggly when it's all clean," Jessica whispered, wiping a stray tear from Charles' cheek, "Don't cry, Charlie."

"Want to look like you," Charles said, "You always wear black jumper, I want to look like mommy."

"I know you do," Jessica smiled, "And you will honey. You'll wear it for a very long time, I promise."

"Yes!" Charles smiled, "Forever and ever, even when I'm all grown up."
