Hello everyone. Once again, it's been a while. And it wasn't just because I was deciding whether to rewrite this story or not. I've had a busy several months that involved issues of the medical kind. Three medical procedures, two of which were actual surgeries. Don't worry, I'm fine. It was just dealing with something that potentially could've been a bigger issue had it been left alone for years on end. They were a pain in the ass, that's for sure. Both figuratively and literally. I couldn't sit down for the life of me without aggravating the areas that had been operated upon. Couldn't even lie on my back after the second surgery. Had to freaking lie on my side or front (I chose the front, easier to get back into writing). But overall, I'm good now. And will (hopefully) not have to go back to the hospital anytime soon.

By the way, I'm sure you all noticed for a while, but look at the fanart in the cover image. It's just...wow. Warms my heart right there. Made by a user on RWBY Amino named Arlet (Robot Arms). What a guy to draw this. :)

Now for the reason of the update...my decision.

But first, the poll. The results have been up for a while now, but I'll stick them on here anyway.

Rewrite with full knowledge - 148 votes

No rewrite - 57 votes

Rewrite with same knowledge as original - 47 votes.

Only 252 votes were tallied. Not that it was unexpected, but still.

So while this wasn't a firm decision, it factored into it. Along with my own thoughts and the thoughts of others through review and PM. And after a long while, I've decided...to go through with the rewrite.

*pulls out shock baton to keep back angry fans*

I know a lot of you have enjoyed my story up to this point, but if you read the previous update, then you know why I'm going through with this. And besides, with all the new lore being added this time, it'll be...interesting.

Also, I'm just gonna tell you right now...Colt/Coco and Colt/Velvet will not be featured in the rewrite.

*keeps More Dakka fans and Family Issues fans back with shock baton*

Back! Back, I say! Again!

If I'm being honest, I wasn't feeling those two ships much back then. And with the revelation of Coco swinging for the other team (which I have suspicions on, but that's neither here nor there), More Dakka is officially dead. As for Family Issues...again, I'm not feeling it anymore. The most you'd probably get (if I felt like it) is the generic "student has a crush on the handsome young teacher" anime/manga trope. Except Colt ain't a teacher. Cause hell no. We ain't going down the Professor Arc route. That way lies madness.

But hey, look on the bright side...Vert and Violet will still be a thing.

So now for the other bit: when exactly the rewrite will be out. It could be quite a bit. Rewrites tend to take at most a month. Which isn't bad all things consi- yeah, it's out already.
