Naruto Uzumaki liked ramen. The Kyuubi? Not so much. After years and years of tasting the same thing daily- generations of ramen eating hosts- he got tired of it. Like most people would.
Key word being most.
The Uzumaki clan was long lived and the souls, tough spunky spirits they were, tended to get reused.
Sometimes the stronger ones even remembered. There was a notable gap between whatever happened after death and now, though. None of them could ever say what the afterlife was like.
Not even Naruto.
That doesn't mean there wasn't one- the souls had to go somewhere in between incarnations.
That's what brought them to this point.
Who knows many reincarnations later Naruto, because he was- always will be, really- Naruto now, still liked ramen. Despite an unknown number of lifetimes of eating it whenever and wherever possible.
"How can you eat this? " Kyuubi groaned.
"What are you talking about? Ramen is the food of the Gods! " Naruto explained, somewhat bewildered.
"Don't you, I don't know, get tired of eating ramen? Like ramen overload? " Kyuubi asked.
"Don't be silly, Kurama! There is no such thing as ramen overload!" Naruto exclaimed looking vaguely confused about why Kyuubi was asking that question. He didn't understand it because he himself couldn't conceive of ever getting tired of ramen.
The Kyuubi groaned, burying his face in his paws as Naruto went back to eating his nth bowl of ramen. He could still taste the last bowl through the bond the seal left. He was getting sick of ramen!
I definitely, he thought, have ramen overload.
A/N: According to the internet 'nth' is a word. It means "denoting an unspecified item or instance in a series, typically the last or latest in a long series". That is taken straight from Google.
