A/N: *looks around* Yeahhh...hi. It's been a very long time since I've posted for this story. But I've been working a lot and then working on other stories and what-not. What didn't help was the spoilers that came out about the second season of Miraculous Ladybug which put a stop on my writing. And now the new seasons for that show put a wrench in some of my plots...certain ones I can change but one main one has me trying to figure out how to recon it. I'll make it work haha. Anyway, I hope this chapter was worth the wait. Plus I'm going back and fixing up a few things with the other chapters which, you guys should notice so I guess go back and re-read it if you want.

Ch14: Blast From the Past

When they turned towards the screams, there was a lift filled with smoke. There were some people in it coughing and some screaming. The lift had stopped and was teetering just a bit. A flash of red light shone through the smoke and caused the glass to break. The shattering of glass and red light caused even more screams from not only the lift but from people below. People were running and screaming as shards of broken glass rained from above them. A person seemed to come out of the broken glass and jumped down.

Despite the drop being high enough to seriously injure someone, the person seemed to land with no problem. People screamed from the broken lift, which looked like it wasn't moving but wasn't in any danger of falling either.

The first floor had become empty other than Kuwabara, Kurama, Marinette, and Adrien. The group had already backed away from the glass floor and were looking at what seemed to be a man standing in front of them.

The guy slowly stood up from his crouching position. He wore worn jeans and a long sleeved blue shirt. He appeared to be a couple inches taller than Kuwabara, who was already a staggering 6'3". His red hair was short and a bit spikey. However, those hazel eyes of his stared directly at Kuwabara.

Kuwabara shivered as he could feel the demonic energy seeping from the man. It felt sort of familiar. He wasn't sure from where.

The man cracked his neck before a sadistic grin crossed his lips as he walked towards the group. His right had held a swirling flame of fire.

Kurama looked at the guy with narrow green eyes. Adrien's own eyes narrowed as he looked around for an escape. He needed to get out of here and turn into Chat.

The man stopped a bit away from the group, just tossing the flame ball up and catching it, as if he was holding a baseball.

Kurama stepped in front of Marinette. She looked up at him with blinking eyes.

"Get out of here." he whispered to her, not looking away from the man.

Marinette was about to protest when she felt her purse move. She looked down to see Tikki looking up at her. She nodded.

"Be careful." she whispered before running off.

Kurama watched her go for a minute before turning back to the new guy.

Kuwabara growled before making his spirit sword. The man seemed to snicker at this.

"I knew it was you." the man said, his eyes seeming to turn red.

"Who are you?" Kurama asked.

The man turned to the red head.

"I could ask you the same question...but I don't care." he said before turning back to Kuwabara.

Kurama was a bit taken aback by the words. This was not an akuma. His eyes widened at the thought of it being a demon.

Adrien looked at the guy. He didn't look like an akuma and he didn't seem possessed. By the way he was looking at Kuwabara, it seemed he was after Kuwabara. This didn't sit too well with the blond.

Adrien needed to get the carrot top out of here. But he knew Kuwabara wouldn't leave. So he had to leave and become Chat.

"I'll make sure Marinette gets out safe." Adrien said before running off.

Kurama flinched at this before watching the blond runoff. He growled, debating if he should run off too. A yelp from Kuwabara caught his attention. The carrot top had just dodged one of those flaming balls. Another was already appearing in the man's hand.

"You've gotten quicker, that is for sure. And I've even heard you are stronger than Master Genkai. Although, she is dead. Even so, that's impressive considering how many strong spiritual users there are in the entire world." the man said as he through another fireball at him.

Kuwabara growled and was able to deflect it with his Spirit Sword. The ball was send back at the man, who easily dodged it.

"This brings back memories..." the man said, looking as if he was going to create another fireball.

"Who are you? How do you know about Master Genkai!" Kuwabara growled, standing with his sword ready for another attack.

"Oh? I know it's been a long time but I'm sure you couldn't forget me." the man said.

He looked down at himself before laughing.

"Oh right. You never saw me in this disguise. Although, I am hurt." the man said, dispelling the fire ball to touch his chest, mocking as if he was hurt.

"I can't remember every scumbag demon I've faced." Kuwabara growled as he narrowed his eyes.

Kurama narrowed his eyes. So it wasn't an akuma. Although, the redhead could also sense demon's auras. He wasn't as good as Kuwabara. It worried him that there were demons here in Paris. He knew that more demons were coming to Earth from the demon plane. However, there were rules placed to prevent situations like this from happening.

"Well, you're more stupid then I took you for. I mean, who could forget the demon that broken their own body piece by piece. I'm still amazed you survived even after being tossed from that height and size." the man chuckled.

It took the carrot top a moment before recognition crossed his face. His sword instantly dispelled and he took a step backwards.

"No way...but Urameshi kicked yer butt and Botan took you to Limbo!" Kuwabara shouted as he pointed his finger at the man.

"Oh so you do remember! Good. So you know why I'm here. But first...I need to make sure the rumors are true." the man said before opening his mouth.

"Life force thread!" he said before a flood of spider web looking threads spud from his mouth.

Kuwabara's eyes widened before jumping away from the couple of threads that headed his way. They seemed to move in straight lines at him, trying to tie him up. Kuwabara yelped before taking a couple swings at a few of the threads. The blade cut through them like butter. A few of the threads wrapped around Kuwabara's arm stopping his movement. He growled as he watched a couple more threads try to wrap around his body.

Kurama took out his rose whip. He sent it towards the threads that were heading straight towards Kuwabara. The thorns on his whip sliced through them as well as the threads holding Kuwabara's arm. Once free, Kuwabara jumped backwards, trying to get as far away from that demon as he could. He turned towards Kurama.

"Thanks Kurama."

Kurama nodded before sending his rose whip towards the man.

The man growled as he jumped out of the way of the thorns. He closed his mouth, cutting the thread before grabbing it with his hand. The threads began to wrap around to form a white whip and snapped it towards the red head. Kurama's eyes widened as he pulled back his whip as he jumped away from the attack.

"Kurama!" Kuwabara shouted before running towards his friend.

Kuwabara jumped into the air and brought his sword down towards the solid thread. At seeing the attack, the man growled before pulling the thread whip back just before Kuwabara could slice through it. Kuwabara stumbled at the force of his strike before straightening up and turning towards the man. Kurama took a few steps forward, trying to put himself a bit in front of the carrot top, without it being too obvious of his attempt to defend his friend. The red head knew that Kuwabara would be upset at realizing his friend trying to protect him.

"I don't know who you are or what you want with Kuwabara but I won't let you near him." Kurama growled as he snapped his whip before sending it towards the man.

The man growled before snapping his own thread whip towards Kurama's rose whip. The two whips wrapped around each other and were in a deadlock. The man smirked before pulling hard on his end of his whip, causing Kurama to gasp before being tossed across the room. Kurama let go of his whip just before he could get slammed against the wall. In doing so, he ended up rolling onto the ground.

"Kurama!" Kuwabara shouted as he watched his friend struggling to stand up.

Kuwabara turned fierce brown eyes towards the man, who just pulled his whip back and was holding onto Kurama's whip. The redhead's whip instantly turned back into a rose. The man shrugged before tossing it to the side.

Kuwabara gripped his sword tightly before charging at the man. The man held onto his whip, positioned to attack the carrot top. Suddenly, Kuwabara shot his sword forward.

"Sword extend!" he shouted before his sword shot straight at the man.

The man's eyes widened just before getting hit in his shoulder. He grunted as he watched his blood shoot out from the strike. The sword retracted, pulling out a bit more blood as it left his shoulder.

The man looked pissed but had an impressed look mixed in his face.

"Hmm, it seems you might have gotten a bit better than the last time we fought."

"You have no idea." Kuwabara growled, appearing in front of the man, sword gone.

The man's red eyes widened.

'So fast!' he thought before Kuwabara's fist made contact with his face.

Spit and some blood came from his mouth before being sent flying backwards. He crashed into the staircase which now was blocked off by the debris that collapsed onto the man.

Kuwabara stood there, fist in place before standing up straight. Kurama's eyes widened in shock. He was standing up now with another whip in his hand. He couldn't help but smile in pride. It seemed the carrot top had gotten stronger over the years.

"Damn you..." came a growl from underneath the rubble.

A bright flash of red caused the debris to fly all over the room. Some of it coming at both Kurama and Kuwabara. It was only small rocks but the two still defected them. They looked back towards the staircase and saw the demon standing up. He had some cuts and dirt covering his body. His hair was dirty and messed up. His entire body was glowing red. He stepped towards Kuwabara with glowing red eyes. His face had a mix of blood and dirt covering it. Not a lot of blood but he totally had a busted lip and a cut above his right eyebrow.

"How could you be so strong?" he growled.

A twisted grin crossed his face as his eyes shined red.

"I want it."

Kuwabara stood there. His body began to feel numb as he could sense the immense power coming off the man. He was petrified at the overwhelming power. He was unable to move.

"I will have that power." the man said before looking right into Kuwabara's brown wide eyes, with his own glowing red.

"How about a power nap?"

The man blinked before barely dodging a metal baton to his face. He jumped back and growled as he saw Chat Noir standing in front of his prey. The cat's eyes were narrowed and looked a bit pissed off.

"Chat!" Kuwabara shouted.

He had gotten so caught up with the demon that he forgot about the super hero feline.

"That's my name." Chat said turning to the carrot top and giving him a wink.

Kuwabara continued to stare before a relieved grin crossed his face. It was nice to have some extra back up.

The man growled before bringing his hands together as if in prayer. Kuwabara's eyes widened as he recognized the stance.

"Cover your ears!" he shouted before covering his own.

It was here Ladybug landed next to Chat. She had heard Kuwabara's warning and sent her yo-yo towards the glowing man. The man had his eyes closed as he was concentrating on his incantation. So he was more than surprised at getting smacked in the middle of his forehead by the hero's yo-yo. This seemed to stop his chanting and send him skidding back. A big round red mark began to form on his forehead. His eyes were open and filled with anger.

"Bull's eye my Lady!" Chat said with a grin.

Kurama and Kuwabara stood there in awe. Kuwabara slowly uncovered his ears and just blinked. He couldn't help but laugh at how funny the entire scene looked. Kurma stood there in awe and impressed at the power behind that throw.

"No time Chat. We got to find where the akuma is!" she said, looking over the guy.

He didn't act like one of Hawkmoth's akumas, let alone look like one. Usually they were wearing an outfit that was black and purple. And usually they were interested in getting Ladybug and Chat Noir's Miraculouses. However this Akuma seemed to be more interested in Kuwabara. Did Hawkmoth think Kuwabara had a Miraculous holder? Ladybug knew there were other Miraculous. Master Fu was the protector of all the Miraculous and was the one to give her and Chat their own. She had seen a couple of them one time. She had thought of asking if she could use them on a number of occasions but didn't feel it was appropriate.

She felt that Master Fu would know when and if she needed anyone more to help. For the moment, Chat was all she needed to fight against Hawkmoth. However, with having Kuwabara help out with the last few Akumas, she realized they could use the extra help.

But did that make Kuwabara a target with Hawkmoth? She would have to talk to the old man sometime soon.

Chat looked at the man. It seemed he was on the same mental page as his Lady. This wasn't Hawkmoth's MO. This guy just seemed different from the other Akuma's they had faced in the past. The fact this one had an obsession with Kuwabara that borderline stalker status. He was definitely someone that knew Kuwabara in some way and had it out for the carrot top.

"I don't think he has one M'lady." Chat said, gripping tighter to his baton.

Ladybug frowned as she swung her yo-yo. Her partner was right. And how the man was talking to Kuwabara, it seemed he knew the carrot top in some way.

The man growled, knowing he was outnumbered.

"You're right little kitty cat. I'm in a category above those 'Akuma's" you fight. I'm much worse." the man growled before turning to Kuwabara.

Kuwabara felt his blood turn cold. The pure hatred in those eyes sent his sixth sense on overdrive. It caused him to become completely paralyzed.

"I'll be back for you." the man growled before whispering a chant.

Before Kuwabara could shout a warning, the room filled with smoke. The group began to cough. Chat growled as he backed up to make sure he was as close as he could be to Kuwabara. He wasn't going to let that psychopathy get near the carrot top.

Once the smoke disappeared, the guy was gone.

They all stood there in silence.

"Ladybug! Help us!"

The group turned to see the broken elevator. There were a couple of people in it. The two superheros looked at each other and nodded.

Ladybug threw her yo-yo towards the elevator while Chat extended his baton. Ladybug held onto one of the stable metal rods while Chat stood in the elevator with the people. Ladybug then wrapped the elevator with her yo-yo and pulled it closer to the rods. She held on tight making sure the elevator wasn't going to move. Chat extended his baton to where it was able to go through the biggest opening of the rods and hit the ground below.

"Going down!" Chat said with a smirk as he held out his clawed hand.

Kuwabara watched in awe for a moment before rushing towards the baton and standing at the bottom of it.

Both Chat and Ladybug noticed and smiled.

Kurama smiled before putting away his rose whip and heading over to stand next to his friend. The two caught each person that would slide down Chat's baton like a fireman's pole. After the last person was helped off, Chat used his baton to bring himself back to the ground. Once everyone, including her partner, were safe Ladybug released the elevator.

After she let it go, the elevator swung like a pendulum for a moment before stopping. Ladybug jumped down and the two heros were surrounded by the people they just saved. They were being cheered and thanked. Some of them even shook hands with Kuwabara and Kurama for their help. After a bit more of the 'thank yous' and handshakes, the people left through the destroyed stairway.

That left the two superheros with Kurama and Kuwabara.

"Now then..." Chat said before turning to Kuwabara.

Kuwabara blinked before looking at the cat.

"Could you tell me who that guy was?"

Kuwabara turned with wide eyes. His face still had no color to it. This made Chat feel even more uneasy and worried. The carrot top seemed to notice and tried to force out a smile.

"Some guy Urameshi beat up some years ago." Kuwabara said.

Kurama gave his friend an odd look. He knew it was more, especially since the guy bragged about slowly breaking each bone in the carrot top's body. He needed to talk to his friend later and find out more.

"Why did he attack you then? And who is Urameshi?" Ladybug asked.

Ladybug didn't know of Urameshi. That was Marinette. So it only made sense for the heroin to ask. However, she felt like no matter how much the carrot top talked about his best friend, there was so much more she didn't know about him or Kuwabara.

The three were now standing in front of him. Each having a different look to them. Kurama looked concerned yet curious. Ladybug looked confused. Chat...well he had all three emotions rolled up into one.

Kuwabara sweat dropped as he felt surrounded and cornered.

"It's a long story..." he said.

"I have time." Chat said, putting away his baton and crossing his arms.

"Won't your ah, miraculous beep soon?" Kuwabara said, pointing to Chat's ring and Ladybug's earrings.

"Neither of us used our miraculous power so we can stay like this as long as we want." Ladybug said with a smile as she put away her yo-yo.

"Or I can ask you." Ladybug said turning towards the red head.

Kurama frowned and shook his head.

"I don't know who he is. I think I wasn't friends with Yusuke or Kuwabara at the time." Kurama said.

Chat raised an eyebrow at this. So Yusuke and Kuwabara had known each other longer than Kurama knew the carrot top. That explained a bit more why Yusuke would be Kuwabara's best friend. It still didn't make sense why the guy acted like he wanted to hurt Kuwabara. Especially now if Yusuke was the one who hurt the guy.

"So it just leaves you." Chat said turning to Kuwabara.

Kuwabara grimaced. He looked around as if needing to find a way out. Then a thought hit him.

"Wait! Kur-ah Shuichi! We need to find Marinette and Adrien! They ran off!" Kuwabara said, inwardly grinning.

Chat's eyes widened for a moment as did Ladybug's eyes.

"I'm sure they are fine..." Chat said.

Adrien was safe anyway. He wasn't sure about Marinette.

"I think we should look for them!" Kuwabara said turning around and running in the direction the two teens had gone.

"Wait!" Chat and Ladybug said.

They looked at each other for a moment.

"Well, maybe we should go help look?" Ladybug said as she looked at Chat.

"Yeah." he said before taking out his baton.

The two rushed off to go de-transform.

Kurama rushed off after the carrot top but was able to catch up to him. Kuwabara stopped once the redhead reached him.

"Kuwabara..." Kurama said, giving the carrot top a look that couldn't be argued with.

Kuwabara gulped but nodded. He knew what the look meant.

"I'll tell you later." Kuwabara said giving Kurama a serious look at he made a cross over his heart.

Kurama nodded. Kuwabara was a man of honor after all and would tell him. It was here Marinette and Adrien ran up to the two.

"Are you two alright?" Marinette asked.

Adrien had found her first and the two had ran back together.

Kurama inwardly growled at seeing them together. He wondered if they were together this entire time or if they only just ran into each other. He shook his head and forced a smile on his lips.

"We're fine." Kurama said.

Adrien couldn't help but look at Kuwabara. He was still a bit pale and couldn't look at the blond.

"What about you Kuwabara?" Adrien asked, getting closer to the carrot top.

Kuwabara jumped back and waved his hands in the air. The jump caused Adrien to also jump.

"I'm perfectly fine! Peachy keen even!" Kuwabara said before laughing loudly.

Kurama gave his friend a worried look. That guy truly shook the carrot top.

Adrien looked concerned as did Marinette.

"Are you sure?" the bluenette asked, tilting her head.

"Yeah! Actually, I'm hungry! Why don't we get something to eat?" he asked, a bit of a pleading in his brown eyes.

At the mention of food, the group's stomachs growled. They were quiet for a moment before they all laughed. The laugh seemed to relax the group a bit.

They had to go down the stairs but needed to be very careful as they walked down. It was amazing how the stairwell hadn't collapsed from the damage it had taken. Once they left, the Eiffel Tower was closed down and maintenance was being done on both the broken lift and damaged stairway. Marinette felt a bit bad. If she had used her Lucky Charm she might have been able to fix it. However, the man wasn't an akuma. But if he wasn't under Hawkmoth's spell, then who or rather what was he?

~~~~~~~~~Scene Change~~~~~~~~~

The rest of the day had gone smoothly. It was as if what happened at the Eiffel Tower was a bad dream. It wasn't until dinner time the group had headed off home. Adrien back to his empty house, while Kurama, Kuwabara, and Marinette went back to the bluenette's house. Dinner had been uneventful and soon it was almost bedtime. Marinette had gone up to her room, while Kurama and Kuwabara got ready to go to sleep.

Kurama found this to be the perfect time to confront Kuwabara.

"That man, from earlier." Kurama started, his head in his mystery book.

Kuwabara went stiff as he was petting his kitten who was laying in his lap.

"Who was that?" Kurama asked before putting down his book and turning towards the bed, from his spot on the couch.

Kuwabara looked over to the redhead, their eyes meeting. Kuwabara sighed before looking back down at his sleeping cat. Kurama sat there, waiting patiently for his friend to answer. After a while, Kuwabara let out another sigh before looking back up at the redhead.

"Rando." he sighed out.

Kurama's eyes furrowed in thought. The name had sounded familiar.

"You know. The guy that entered Genkai's tournament to gain her power?" Kuwabara elaborated.

It took a moment before it clicked in Kurama's mind. He blinked before looking confused at Kuwabara.

"Didn't Yusuke defeat him and he got sent to limbo?"

Kuwabara nodded.

"But no one can escape limbo." Kurama said in thought.

It didn't make sense. But if this guy had escaped Limbo, it would mean other demons they sent there could have escaped. That thought was a bit troubling.

"Well, he did it! I bet he learned it from Houdini." Kuwabara said.

Kurama frowned.

'Maybe I should check in with Koenma.'

Another thought came to him.

"What did he mean when he said that he broke every bone in your body?" Kurama asked.

Yusuke had told the redhead how he met Genkai. He said he was forced to enter her tournament. While there, he fought a demon named Rando as well as fought against Kuwabara who, to the redhead's surprise, had made it to the final three. However, he never went into detail of Kuwabara's match. Actually, Yusuke only mentioned Kuwabara making it to the finally three. He never told him anything else.

Kuwabara grimaced at the question.

"I thought Urameshi told you all that." Kuwabara sighed.

"Only the basics I guess." Kurama said, walking over and sitting on the edge of the bed.

Kuwabara sighed and sat indian style on the bed, Eikichi curled up in his legs.

"Just like him, that punk." Kuwabara snorted with a shake of his head.

Kurama looked at the carrot top before a thought came to his mind.

"Kuwabara, did you fight Rando?"

Kuwabara winced as he remembered the fight. He had been so cocky. But in his defense, the guy looked like a weaker Krillin from DBZ. Not to mention, the guy was able to hide his true power to the point Kuwabara couldn't sense it at all.

"Yeah. I had to fight him to see which of us would get to fight Urameshi." Kuwabara said, petting his sleeping cat.

Kurama's eyes widened. He had heard of Rando. He was a powerful demon before Yusuke defeated him. He had gone around challenging and defeating all of the great martial art masters from all over the world. After defeating them, he would steal their techniques, before killing them with their own technique. For Kuwabara to have fought the demon and still be alive made the redhead respect his friend even more.

"I almost died. I think I did actually." Kuwabara said with a snort and a small smile.

Kurama looked at his friend with worried eyes.

"But if Yusuke defeated him, why would he go after you?" he had a sinking feeling of the reason but was too scared to voice it.

Kuwabara seemed to be on the redhead's wavelength with a grim look.

"I'm not too sure but...it's not good that's fer sure." Kuwabara said with a sigh.

Kuwabara already knew why. The guy even stated the reason. Kuwabara's power.

Rando was after his Dimensional Sword. The fact he mentioned hearing rumors of his power was more then troubling. There were rules from the Demon realm to not cause problems or there would be trouble from Koenma. However, that was only in Japan. Demons could go to any other country and cause issues. It would be out of Koenma's jurisdiction. Which would mean that there were other Underworlds. Kuwabara wondered how that worked and how many other gods and Underworlds there were for Earth.

The carrot top shook his head. That wasn't important. He was in trouble. That had been one of the biggest worries Koenma and even Genaki had once Kuwabara unlocked that power. That he would be sought after by evil demons and even humans. It was a wonder that it didn't happen earlier. He suspected Yusuke had a hand in that. Everyone knew of their close relationship and how protective Yusuke was over his best friend. It was kind of flattering to be honest. Although it had also put him in danger a few times while his best friend had been gone. Cocky demons who thought they could get to Yusuke by messing with Kuwabara. That could have been when the rumors of his power came out. He had beat enough demons for that knowledge to reach even limbo it seemed.

Kurama sat there on the couch for a moment before standing up and walking over to sit next to Kuwabara. Kuwabara jumped at the sudden movement.

"Are you alright?"

Kuwabara looked into those concerned emerald eyes and flinched. He didn't mean to worry the red head.

"Yeah. I'm fine Kurama. Really."

"I'm not Yusuke. You can tell me what's on your mind." Kurama said with a warm smile and resting his hand on the carrot top's shoulder.

Kuwabara snorted.

"Yeah. Sometimes your worse..." he snorted before yelping as he felt nails dig into his shoulder.

Kurama's face didn't change. It still looked concerned but there was a tint of yellow in his eyes.

"I was just kidding. Calm down." Kuwabara said with a nervous laugh.

Kurama let out a breath before removing his hand.

"Speaking of Yusuke..." Kurama began.

"No. No way. Urameshi can't know about this, got it?" Kuwabara said with a frown. "He'd fly over here on Botan's broom and drag me back by my ear."

At the image of Botan bringing Yusuke on her broom caused the carrot top to laugh.

"I would actually like to see that..." Kurama said with a smirk and a chuckle.

"It would be funny..." Kuwabara said before frowning.

He really missed his best friend. There was a moment during that entire event at the Eiffel Tower where he wished Yusuke was there with him. He would have felt a bit safer. It wasn't like he needed him there to save him or anything. He was a man and could take care of himself. However, there was nothing wrong with guys needing each other. Needing his best friend there to give him support and a peace of mind that he wasn't alone. Sure, Kurama was there but it wasn't the same as having Yusuke.

Although, Yusuke could have made the entire situation worse. He could get overly protective of Kuwabara. He would probably make everything worse. More things would have gotten destroyed. People might have gotten hurt. It wasn't a good idea to let Yusuke know anything that was going on. He may have been joking about Yusuke coming to France by way of Botan's oar. But he wouldn't put it past his best friend.

Besides that, he did have Kurama, even if he didn't want to involve him. He even had Ladybug and Chat Noir.

The thought of the feline hero made his heart flutter. He had known he had been missing both the blond model and his alter ego. However, he didn't realize how much until seeing both earlier in the day. He had fallen in love with the entire person that is known as both Adrien Agreste and Chat Noir. There was nothing he could do about it either. The string on his pinky finger made it even worse. It was a deep red color.

Kurama looked at his friend with concerned emerald eyes. Kuwabara had already been in a depressing mood before the events that happened. But it seemed with Rando showing up and wanting something from the carrot top, well, that was more stress put onto his friend.

He sighed.

The sound caused Kuwabara to jump. He turned to his friend with wide eyes. The slight fear there made Kurama worry even more. It seemed Kuwabara was still on edge. He gave Kuwabara a warm smile.

"Everything will be okay. Just try and get some sleep." Kurama said.

Kuwabara could see the concern in his friend's eyes and hated that he had caused that look in those emerald eyes. He nodded before giving a forced smile.

"Alright. Night Kurama." Kuwabara said.

Kurama nodded and stood up.

"Goodnight Kuwabara."

Kurama went back to his bed and laid down. Kuwabara picked up his cat and placed him next to his pillow. Eikichi yawned before snuggling into the side of his pillow. Kuwabara smiled fondly at his cat before slipping under his covers and pulling them up to cover both himself and his cat.

Kurama laid in bed. He needed to talk to Koenma. Luckily, he had a number to reach the Underworld's ruler. Maybe Koenma could shed some light on how Rando escaped. However, that would have to be done tomorrow as the red head was tired.
