So we were driving home. Happy had insisted. I had told Tony about the thing I ordered- he was trying to play it off as cool, but me and Happy were ruining his 'chill' vibe. This was way more exciting for us.

And Author help him if he managed to screw this up.

"Okay but she hasn't even agreed to date-" Tony began.

"She will." Happy and I argued.

Tony huffed.

"Then she'll say yes."

"How do you even know what she'll like?" Tony asked. He looked down at the picture of the ring I had ordered for them. "Cause I didn't know she liked this."

"You think that dress was the first time she used your card to buy herself a holiday gift?" I countered. "I just looked at the other gifts she bought herself. The rest was simple logic."

"Sometimes, Becks, you scare me."

"Scared at how much better I am than you. The apple fell very far from the tree." I boasted. Happy laughed from the driver's seat.

"Hey, don't take her side. I'm the one paying you." Tony chastised.

"Yeah but see I'm his favorite Stark." I guessed.

"No you're not. Happy tell her you're not."

Happy rolled up the window between us and him.

"No hey no-"

"I win!"

"Coward!" Tony called when the window shut.

Now I was laughing on the backseat, getting a high on the victory over him.

We pulled up to the house. The sun had long since set, after a long complicated day of more interviews and waiting for the repair crew to fix up the house. Not a chance I was going back in that house with signs of Stane still in it.

"It's still a stupid name." Tony complained as we walked out of the car.

"Don't be jealous just because you wanted it."

"Why would I want to be called Night Mistress?" Tony countered.

"It's awesome, that's why." I argued. Happy pulled away, taking the car with him. "Hey...is that the alarm?"

Tony paused in his steps. We were right outside the door. The alarm could be heard even from out here. Tony unlocked the door. The alarm continued to blare.

"JARVIS is active, right?" I whispered, reaching for my Bag to pull out my arm guards. If I was gonna prepare for a fight, then I was gonna throw down hard.

"Supposed to, yeah." Tony replied.

Tony walked down the hallway. I kept in pace beside him. The whole house was dark.

"JARVIS!" Tony yelled.

"Welcome home, sir, ma'am." JARVIS powered down.

Tony and I made it to the living room by the point.

"'I am Iron Man. And I'm the vigilante known as Night Mistress.'" Nick Fury began, in a total not creepy way. Because this is obviously how a not James-Bond-villain would introduce themselves. "You think you're the only superheroes in the world?" Fury challenged. "Starks, you've become part of a bigger universe. You just don't know it yet."

"Who the hell are you?" Tony demanded.

"Get the hell out of our house!" I warned him, powering

"Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D." He stepped out into the light, revealing to Tony his eyepatch and also his face. I couldn't help but notice the spark of joy in his eye. "I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative."

A few short months after, when I'd had my fill of superheroes, I went back Home.

But I still remembered something important, that Becky's DNA report slammed in my face.

I wasn't human.

And I never should be.

Another Earth: 2039

Morgan Year: 131

Kelsea was always a kind soul. She ended up taking the night shift for a coworker who called in sick. She knew it was stupid in these times to be out after dark. She stayed later than she should've, just to be sure she would be safe.

She was running to her car, unlocking it from a distance. Sse kept her safety light on while doing so, same for turning on the lights of her car. Kelsea knew the danger of keeping the light off during the night. The lights on the car were an expensive addition, necessary for the times.

The place she worked didn't have room for parking so she had to use a nearby parking garage. Only, well, it had been full. So Kelsea has to use another parking garage- that was more like a lot. An outdoor lot. It only could afford the street lamps. Kelsea hated using it, but she had no other choice.

Once she made it to her car, she heard someone crying. Kelsea paused at its side, looking around. It sounded like a little girl crying. Her heart was shaking inside her chest at the sound.

"Hello?" Kelsea called out. "Is anyone there?"

The crying turned to whimpering.

"Hello?" Kelsea repeated. She knew it was smarter to stay closer to her car, but this voice sounded so lost and afraid and young. She needed to help her. "I know you're there. Where are you? It's not safe this late."

Kelsea heard a sniffle, followed by more whimpering.

A figure walked out from the shadows, shivering from the cold night air and the lack of proper clothes. Kelsea's heart went out for the poor thing.

"Hey, hey come over here. It's okay." Kelsea encouraged. The girl- who couldn't be older than twelve- stumbled towards Kelsea. She could see blood on the girl's arm, staining her ill fitted dress. With how dangerous it was at night, Kelsea couldn't a little girl so exposed. She'd be dead in ten minutes. "Climb in my car. It'll be safer on the road."

Kelsea opened the back door of the car for the girl. Once she was inside, Kelsea put the car in gear and began to drive home.

"Hey, hey what's your name?" Kelsea asked, after a short pause. The girl gave no answer, whimpering while clutching a wound on her arm. "That's okay. That's okay, you just hold on. Got it? I'm taking you home."

While Kelsea drove, she didn't see the smile hidden beneath the girl's long black hair.

Kelsea taped down the last bandage on the little girl's arm. The pre-teen was being such a trooper while Kelsea cleaned away the wounds.

"There we go." Kelsea tried to give the girl a reassuring smile, but the child continued to hide beneath her hair. "What were you doing out that late, anyway? It's not safe out at night."

The girl didn't lift her head. She cuddled her arm to her chest, brushing her hand down on the bandage. "...I got lost." She replied in a small voice. "They- they came so fast. They-they got-" She stopped, choking on a sob.

Once again, Kelsea's heart poured out. She sat by the girl's side, hugging her.

"Shh, shh. It's okay, you don't need to say anything else. We'll wait until morning." Kelsea promised. She smoothed down the girl's hair with her hand.

"Kelsea?" A voice spoke from the stairs.

The girl flinched in Kelsea's arms, cowering away from it to hid in the couch.

"No! No, it's alright! That's just my- it's my fiance." Kelsea promised. She pulled herself away from the couch, walking over to her fiance.

The man looked at the child, confusion on his face in the darkly light apartment. "Why is there a kid on our couch?"

"She was bleeding, and alone." Kelsea argued. "The vamps would have her in an instant. Are you saying I should've-"

Her fiance huffed. "I'm not, you know I'm not. It's just- I worry, you know I do." He sighed. "How did I even fall asleep? I was up until...three worrying about you."

Kelsea hummed. She rubbed her thumb along her fiance's cheek. "You worrywart." She kissed him.

The child hadn't moved from her cowering position on the couch. She made a high pitched whine that got the attention back from the grown-ups.

"Oh! Right." Kelsea cleared her throat, nervously. "This is Tony." Kelsea introduced. Tony waved his hand toward the girl. "Um...what was your name, actually? I don't think I ever got it."

The little girl stopped whimpering.

The hair on Kelsea's neck suddenly stood up. Tony's grip on her arm tightened.

"I hate Tony's." The little girl growled under her breath. The words came out in a dark hiss, that sent chills down the spines of the couple. "They're all bastards."

The couple stared towards the little girl in surprise. Those were dark tones for a girl that looked so young. She had her head down to her chest, her fists were clenched in tight balls over her knees.

"He promised me I was normal." The little girl snarled. Tony and Kelsea flinched away. "Does this look normal to you?"

She revealed a horrifying face that made Kelsea scream. The little girl's teeth were jagged and sharklike. Her eyes, aside from being inhumanly far apart, glowed a sickening shade of orange.

Tony and Kelsea held onto each other in sudden horror at what they had let into their house.

The girl tilted her head. Her expression darkened by a knowing half smirk.

"See?" She acknowledged their screams. "Not normal. He lied to me. I'm a monster." She took slow steps forward. Tony was too scared to move. "You know what, Tony? I'm a firm believer in an eye for an eye."

The screams never seemed to end in that house. There was always an echo of them, stuck to the walls beside the bloodstains of Kelsea.

Tony was never found.

Neither was Morgana.

AN: So...I had this written ages ago. Can you imagine the happy (and stupid that it took so long) coincidence that Tony from IM and my OC Tony from 30DON had the same name? Pure coincidence, I swear. Don't believe? Yeah...that's fair.

Morgana is not a good person. She's a fun dark side of Morgan that I've had hidden for ages and now you all get to suffer her too!

To be continued in...Night Mistress 2
