"I didn't want to you find out this way," Neville muttered when he heard the door open behind him.
He didn't need to turn his head to know that it was his boyfriend, Harry Potter. Neville had run out the room when the Golden Trio and Ginny had stumbled upon him and his parents. Not because he was ashamed of what his parents had become former shells of themselves because of Bellatrix, but because he never told him and he thought that it made him look like a liar or something.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"It never seemed like a good time. I feared that you would judge me, and then break up with me."
"And why would I do that?" Harry asked.
Neville shrugged. Now that he thought of it, there was no reason for Harry to break up with him because of that. It was just an irrational fear that had plagued him as soon as he started dating Harry.
Harry walked over towards Neville and threw his arm around him. "I think that they're lucky that they have a son like you."
"You think so?"
"I know so. You know what else?"
"What?"
"We'll make our parents proud."
