I wish everyone is safe and sound, a short chapter for the quarantine.
It was a gelid place, only snow, ice and what looked like an army of men could be seen, however, even with a multitude of that size on this desolate landscape, what truly stood out was the red lights in the sky that descended in such a way that anyone would have believed that it was the stars falling from the sky.
'!'
Countless explosions occurred once they reached the ground, everyone close enough was completely obliterated and those that weren't caught themselves engulfed in blue fires until they were nothing but dust and ashes.
"I am the bone of my sword."
In front of the great army, stood a sole man, dressed in a black body armor covered by a red shroud, holding a bow and what looked like a sword with the form of a drill, without even flinch at the sight of what could only be described as an army of the dead, most of them nothing but rotten corpses, some even to the point of being nothing more than a walking pile of bones, of all sizes, from the smallest child up to size of the tallest tree, moving without stopping or caring about the fallen comrades around them, they marched and in response he aimed and around him, crimson bolts surged.
"Caladbolg!"
Letting go the now converted arrow, everything in its path deformed, almost as if the reality itself twisted around the projectile.
'!'
A huge explosion covered the entire area, the ice cracked around all the landscape causing the few unscathed of the now small army to sink into the cold waters.
"Told you it was useless." The man in red looked at the other side of the artificial lake, where the remaining army stood still.
"Will you show yourself now or you will hide as well?" A pair of twin Chinese swords appeared on his hands, one black with a hexagonal red pattern and the other white but with the shine of a cloudy sky on it.
"The wall has been set, so either way, going now would be pointless."
A smirk appeared on his face the moment his opponents moved aside, forming a path from which a man of white skin and cold blue eyes appeared wielding a very thin crystal blue spear, as he moved everything around him seemed to freeze, to the point that the moment he stepped on water, it was already ice again.
"Well, it's not like you´ll have the chance."
Moving forward in the frozen lake, the man in red ran, throwing his twin swords he rushed at his opponent as a new pair appeared on his hands, using the ice spear to deflect the oncoming weapons, the other positioned himself readying his weapon until the men in red was close enough, moment when with a powerful thrust both fighters collided and with a shockwave of blue and red, everything around them started to break.
"Both of us already died once, but you really should have stayed that way."
And with a smirk still on his face the men in red retreated just as the twin swords returned, using his spear once again to deflect them, the other caught himself at the edge of four weapons as the man in red not only jumped back, but also threw his second pair, the other however tried to spin his spear to deflect all of them, as he did it however, he failed to notice as the man in red snapped his fingers causing the weapons and their target to be engulfed in a red blast leaving nothing but water and ashes.
"All the World's evils, huh?" Gray eye like steel looked at the sky.
"That's right." A young man stood behind him, with a hair blonde like the sun and eyes red like blood.
"I find it hard to believe." Archer dropped his head as he listened to the new development while whispering. "There is always something."
"We are here aren't we? What's one more." Smiling, the boy approached Archer, like a cat approaches a vase that is about to be thrown.
Archer turned to answer, but found himself speechless for a second as the boy's grin from ear to ear made him look more feline than human. "I still can't believe you are the same King of Heroes I know."
'Sigh.' Gilgamesh's expression dropped as he looked at the city. "Treat us like two different individuals, we do it that way."
"Two of you, great." As he stood up a thought came into his head. "You say that you saw it didn't you, why not end everything at once? I imagine it wouldn't be a problem for someone like you."
"It would not, don't worry about that." Pulling a black translucent cloth that somehow turned itself into a hat Gil thought out loud.
"Sometimes, you have to let them earn their worth."
'It is their world after all.' Turning back one last time before parting Archer asked, "So, any…" Finding no one else but himself. "Of course." Smirking he resumed his path while blue sparkles surrounded his body forming a homely brown cloak.
"Piece of advice." Gil's voice sounded from the now empty surroundings. ''Search for lions and wolfs.''
