*slowly peeks into room and waving*

I'm so sorry guys! It's been one excuse after another on why I keep disappearing. This time it was some pretty intense medical issues, it is still going on but I'm doing a bit better so hopefully I can pick this back up. Oh I missed writing.

Chapter isn't too long but it's the most I've written in months.

So, here is the full chapter 13, continuing the snippet from the previous chapter.

As always, I don't own Fairy Tail.

*One week later*

Laxus sighed, his eyes still closed. He hadn't slept this good in…years. It had been years.

Nothing could compare to this. He wrapped his arms around the soft, warm body that was clinging to him.

The scent of strawberries and cream wafted into his nose, and he smiled contentedly.

As his mind regained awareness of his surroundings and his body, he realized something slightly embarrassing.

He had never, ever, been embarrassed by something like this before, but knowing just who his girlfriend was, he desperately wanted to hide the bodily reaction that normally happened every morning.

However, his breath stalled in his throat as the body on top of him pressed down harder against his rigid length, a sleepy moan parting her plump pink lips.

Involuntarily, his hips flexed upwards, and excited heat pooled in his gut as she moaned again, jerkily bucking her hips against his own.

The large blonde man sighed in defeat at the snore that followed immediately after. She was still deeply sleeping, so he knew he needed to calm himself down.

He thought of several disturbing things before his brain showed him an image that made him honest to Mavis wish he could pour bleach directly inside of his skull.

His grandfather…in nothing but his hat and an absurdly tight speedo had him almost sitting up and bolting to the bathroom to retch.

Laxus moved them both so that he was on his side, holding Lucy against his chest, and took calming breaths.

As awful as the image was, it worked.

Burying his nose into the golden hair of his girlfriend, he closed his eyes. If she was still asleep, there was no reason he couldn't doze off for a little while longer.

He vaguely registered Lucy untangling from him awhile later, hearing the sound of a pen scratching on paper, before the door of his apartment clicks open and shut.

As the waking world left him, he failed to notice the small puff of smoke that appeared next to his head…

Laxus sat up in bed what felt like seconds later, realizing that he was alone under the sheets. Blinking in confusion, he stretched and looked around the room. Nothing seemed to be amiss…

Except for the fact there were no windows or doors.

"What the actual fuck."

Vaulting off of the bed, he leapt across the room to where the door should have been.

"Lucy!" He shouts, banging on the wall. "I don't know what you did, but this isn't funny."

"Laxus!"

All at once the walls sink into the floor, the lights going with them, and he nearly drops to his knees from the intense vertigo it gives him.

"Hello?" A familiar voice says from in front of him, so quiet and hoarse that he almost misses it behind the continuous sound of water dripping.

He jolts, whipping his head up and almost crying out at what he sees in the near black room. Lucy is there, strung up by chained wrists on a hook above her head. Dark bruising covers so much of her almost naked body, cuts covering most of her arms and chest, a trail of blood steadily dripping down the side of her face.

"Lucy, holy shit!" Laxus rushes forward only to bounce off of an invisible wall and land harshly on his ass.

"Ever?" The small blonde asks, coughing.

Laxus scrambles to his feet stopping just short of the barrier he can't see. "What? No, Blondie it's me. What the fuck is going on? Who did this?"

She gives him no response, instead trying to stand and failing, her toes barely touching the dirty concrete ground beneath her.

"Bix?" Her voice turns pleading, and he tries punching at the barrier in front of him, menacing growls emanating from his chest.

"For fucks sake! Lucy I'm right here, I'm-"

"F-Freed?"

He hates the fear in her voice, it shatters his heart and makes the edges of his vision turn red.

Lucy attempts to shift her limbs once more, a small pained whimper leaving her. "Laxus?" She calls a bit louder, wheezing yet hopeful, almost certain.

'Does she know I'm here?'

Clang!

Even Laxus jumps, whirling around to where the noise came from behind him.

"Laxus!" She yells, voice crackling, "I-I'm here!"

The room suddenly smells like death. The stale taste of rot creeping into his nose and mouth, thick and unforgiving, coating his tongue and practically gagging him.

Movement from the corner of the room catches his eye and he starts banging on the invisible wall once more, snarling as a man approaches her, so silent even he can't hear it with his enhanced senses.

His heart squeezes painfully in his chest as he listens to her calling for him, rage coursing through his veins as he watches the shadowed man toy with her, making sounds so that she thinks someone is actually coming for her.

"La-Laxus." She sobs, all hope gone from her voice. Just as her face crumples in defeat, the man slides up to her, flush against her skin.

His snarls never stop, taking on a life of their own as he can do nothing but watch her plead with the man as he laughs.

Metal glints in the darkness and time seems to cease as the man leans close to his girlfriend, whispering something he can't hear over the roaring of blood in his ears.

Dropping to his knees, Laxus screams as the blade is sliced neatly across her throat, just a thin little line until the river of red starts pouring out.

He doesn't think his screaming stops as she gurgles, wet and sickly, blood pouring from her mouth. Her head dips forward, splashes of red splatter the floor, replacing the sound of dripping water that had disappeared at some point earlier.

The last thing he sees is the small smile on her face, before she slumps forward entirely, heart no longer beating.

Laxus shoots up and out of bed, landing in a sobbing heap on his bedroom floor. He can't breathe, and with violently shaking hands he snatches the small waste bin next to his nightstand and heaves into it, expelling the contents of his stomach.

When it finally ends he launches himself back up to his feet, spinning around and searching wildly for the tiny blonde that was supposed to be in his bed.

Panic grips his heart when he doesn't see her immediately, her scent fading from the room.

A hot pink piece of paper on the floor at his feet catches his attention and he crouches to snatch it up.

"Had to leave for my dentist appointment and I didn't want to wake you. Meet me at the guild at noon? Hopefully my mouth won't be numb and we can have lunch together!

-Lucy"

It feels like it takes hours, but his heart finally starts to slow down, and he slumps to the floor, back pressed against the side of his bed, head in his hands.

The details are getting hazier but he remembers blood, so much blood, pouring from the woman he knows he is falling for.

"Fucking hell…"

He knew she had to leave in the morning for an appointment, she had told him the night before when they stayed up way too late watching movies and eating junk. It had gotten so late that he insisted she just crashed at his place. They fell asleep holding each other, and he had decided that it was the best way to fall asleep.

With a groan, the Dragon Slayer gets back on his feet, heading straight for the shower to wash away all the sweat and tears. The salt water irritated his face, making him itch. Laxus can't remember the last time he had cried like that, and it left him feeling shaken right down to his bones.

As the too hot water pelted his face, he stood there in the spray, hoping like hell that these crazy vivid dreams stopped happening because it was all utter bullshit.

With a sigh he begins to wash himself, the sinking feeling tugging at his heart telling him that this was only the beginning.
