Prologue

Walking down the dark street, Astrid felt like dying. Blood was splattered across her jeans, and she couldn't believe what she had just done. How could she... Why did she?! What had been going through her mind when she had killed them?

Not knowing what to do, Astrid stopped her movement- then she fell to her knees. She couldn't go on. She couldn't live in this life anymore. Due to the fact that she was warring with her thoughts, Astrid didn't notice the black suburban driving quickly towards her.

That is, until it was too late.

Lilith stood solemnly in her black dress. She was in the graveyard, and she was the only one left. Everyone else had left the funeral... Probably to go and feast at Lilith's house... She had been hosting a reunion for her family so they could have somewhere to stay during the funeral week.

A tear slipped down Lilith's rosy cheeks, she never wanted this to happen... But she knew that she had been a big part of what had happened. She knew that it was her fault that her twin was dead. All her fault.

If she hadn't yelled at her... If she had tried to get along with her. But no, she just couldn't stand her- but now that she was gone, Lilith wished that she had told her that she loved her.

Leaning down, Lilith placed the white rose on the gray headstone. She couldn't stay here any longer, it was too painful. Besides, she would come back eventually...

Lilith raised her head, then gasped. He was here.

Spinning around, Lilith tried to race out of the graveyard. But she didn't make it far. She felt the slick tentacle slid around her ankle, and yanked her back. Lilith was dragged across the grassy ground, and she heard the static start up in her mind.

She spun around as she was dragged, her eyes widened as the tall man came into her view, his suit as dark as ever. Multiple tentacles were wandering around near his back, and his faceless head. His head was completely white, and you could see the indentations where his eyes, nose, and mouth would be.

Lilith screamed, she knew what was going to happen to her, she knew that he was going to kill her. But she also knew that there was a time that he wouldn't have even tried- when her sister had been alive.
