What The Chapter Twenty Seven

Harry/Dobby popped into the Stokes-On-Trent property to find a concerned looking Sirius. Apparently while Harry was destroying white whiskered dummies, Jr had mirror called Sirius and discussed his meeting with Dumbledore. Jr had mentioned feeling a little weird right before an alarm had sounded and the Headmaster had dismissed him. The sensation had cleared up as soon as Jr left the office and so he wasn't too worried, but Sirius was. "Where have you been?" was the immediate response.

Harry had ignored Sirius's calls for a while now as he had let out his anger and frustration in the Room of Requirement. "I needed to calm down."

"Why? What happened!? Is Harry Ok? I mean Jr….and you too." Sirius added after seeing the grimace on Harry/Dobby's face.

It took a moment for Harry to respond, internally questioning how much to tell Sirius. Deciding on the whole truth but preparing to subdue the man, he spoke. "Dumbledore" he spat the name "decided to put a Compulsion on Jr to ignore you and report when you finally contacted him."

It took all of half a second after Harry had stopped talking before Sirius was up, drawing his wand and muttering a slew of curse words on his way to the floo. Harry was prepared for this and immediately put him in a Body Bind. Sirius's anger was so strong that Harry had to reapply the Body Bind and ended up floating Sirius back to the couch with said man giving him a death glare the entire time.

"Calm Down Padfoot." The words even sounded hollow in his own ears as Sirius managed to intensify the death glare he had focused on the small Elf. "I know , sorry. I agree with how you must feel, but you can't go traipsing to the Headmasters office. Harry's fine. You talked to him yourself. Sophia immediately removed the compulsion and I caused the distraction that got Jr out of there." The intensity of the glare lessend but was still prevalent. "I know how you feel. Dumbledore bewitched Jr…. Me! And I … we will get revenge. But we can't do anything this exact moment. For starters, how would you explain the reason for you attacking the Headmaster, as I know you want to do. And even if you did, he can use it against you and make sure that you never get custody of Jr."

This last had the glare vanish from Sirius's face and Harry let up on the Body Bind. He hoped he wouldn't have to reply it. The lost look that took the place of the glare almost broke Harry's heart. "Don't worry, I started the revenge and it will only get worse.'
This seemed to renew some of the life to Sirius. "Whatever you've done isn't nearly enough."

"I agree. We'll come up with something better together. I also want to get Remus in on this."

"Good idea, but I think that we should leave Harry… I mean Jr out of it. I know he trusts us but I can tell that he still has faith in Dumbledore. I don't think he's ready to hear about what the man did to him."

I agree. I know what I thought of the man at that age and as much as I didn't trust adults, I still trusted him. Boy was I ignorant."

"We all were, I'm still not sure if he knew if I was really the Secret Keeper for James and Lily. If I found out that he knew, I don't think that even you could stop me."

Harry noticed a bit of madness in his Godfathers eyes and wondered if it was Azkaban or the famous Black madness rearing up. "If he knew, I don't know if I would even try to stop you."

Both were quiet as dark thoughts swirled around their heads. The silence was broken by a mirror call from Remus. Not sure of how the man would react and bot wanting to try to restrain an untransformed Werewolf. Harry told the man to meet him and Sirius in the Room of Requirement in ten minutes. Harry decided that Sirius could use the same stress relief that calmed him down earlier and Remus might need the same release. He would make sure that the Room wouldn't let either man out of there till both had calmed down.

Later that night Harry popped both Remus and Sirius into their beds sound asleep. Both the Animagus and the Werewolf were suffering from magical exhaustion and there were several hundreds more broken white whiskered dummies.

After four hours of sleep, Harry checked in on Remus and Jr before popping to Sirius. The man was still groggy and his magic still hadn't fully recovered. Remus, being a Werewolf had a lesser time recharging his power but he still wasn't at 100%. He was still able to attend his lessons and his weakness wouldn't cause too much suspicion considering he looked much worse after the full moon. In fact it might help with the deception as it was still two weeks until the next full moon.

Sirius on the other hand looked like death warmed over. He actually almost looked worse than he did when he escaped Azkaban. Harry decided to give his Godfather a break and refrained from any loud noises and offered the man a strong cup uf tea with a Pepper-Up potion on the side.

"Thanks." Was the mumbled reply before Sirius shot back the Pepper-Up and sat up a little straighter while smoke blasted from his ears. "So, how'd I do?"

"Do?"

Yeah. How many Dumbledore dummies did I destroy?

"Oh." Was the reply before Harry popped away. He returned a moment later and said. "Sophia said you destroyed one hundred and thirty six. She also said that Remus destroyed one hundred and fifty four, some of them by hand."

Under his breath Sirius grumbled "Lucky Werewolf stamina" Louder he said "And how many did you destroy?"

Harry looked a little sheepish and quietly responded 'four hundred and twenty one."

Even though Harry was quiet, Sirius still heard him and his jaw dropped. He stuttered "four- four-four hundred and twenty one! How!?"

I was able to draw power from the castle. I also destroyed over a hundred earlier that day."

"Still over four hundred in a single day…and you don't even seem tired to me. That's amazing."

"Thanks, I guess. I wouldn't be able to do anything like that if I wasn't in the Castle. In fact my magic seems to drain faster the longer I stay out of Hogwarts. Even though it seems to fill almost instantly as soon as I return."

Sirius just nodded along saying "Good to know." Before a silence overtook the two men.

The silence was broken by Harry asking what Sirius wanted to eat. "Nothing too heavy but something sweet. Plus more tea." A moment later a platter full of pastries appeared before the Marauder along with a fresh cup of tea. Harry watched forlornly as his Godfather attacked the platter while lamenting the fact that House Elves didn't like anything too sweet.

Turning down an offered Danish after Sirius had already polished off three, Harry asked "Since you shouldn't use too much Magic today, why don't we plan some of our future endeavors?"

After swallowing, Sirius answered. "Sound's good. First things first, We have to do more to Dumbledore."

"Sounds good. Did you come up with anything yet?"

"No. I was barely awake before you showed up. But now that I've got my second wind and the old noggin is hard at work."

"Hardly working, more likely."

Sirius reaction time was still slow and his power low so that Harry had no problem avoiding the stinging hex sent his way. That little exertion caused Sirius to slump over the table and Harry inquired on his status. "I'm fine, just remind me not to do that again for a while."

After Sirius caught his breath, Harry brought up one of the plans he thought up. It was a simple plan but very devious. Harry would charm Dumbledores glasses so that whenever he saw an image of a snake, it would cause an illusion that the snake came to life and lunge at him. With the amount of snake pictures left around Hogwarts that only Dumbledore could dispel, he would appear to be attacked several times a day. Harry also planned to create a few (hundered) pictures of snakes on parchment that he would disillusion and cast the same paper airplane memo's that he saw at the Ministry in a previous life. They would never be delivered and would constantly fly around the castle.

Sirius liked both ideas and added his own touch by having drawings and other images of other dangerous creatures that the wards should detect also set off the alarm in the Headmasters office. Harry loved the idea and promised to get right on it as soon as he left. They both agreed to think of more ways to harass the Headmaster later and turned their attention to issues outside of Hogwarts.

The first thing they decided was that Sirius would have to stay in for another day because of the Magical exhaustion. Sirius didn't like it, He really wanted a Butterbeer from the Three Broomstick, but agreed that it was for the best. They also agreed that it might not be such a good idea to mix alcohol in such close proximity to Hogwarts and decided that Sirius's inaugural introduction back into Wizarding society would take place at The Leaky Cauldron with an Auror guard and Harry disillusioned in the corner.

Turning to the next Death Eater on their list, Travers, Harry and Sirius threw back possible believable accidents before settling on one. Travers unlucky end would come thanks to an illusion of an empty elevator in the Ministry. Harry would make sure that Travers wand would be swapped for a fake as he had it checked at security. He would also make sure that Travers neck would be snapped weither the fall caused it or not. Previous trips to the Ministry showed that placing House Elf wards in the building wouldn't set off any alarms so that placing an aversion ward hat only Travers was keyed into would keep other people from meeting the same fate.

Both Sirius and Harry agreed to try and time this to happen at the same time that Sirius was enjoying himself at the Leaky Cauldron. To encourage the likelihood of this happening, Harry would send a note on official Ministry stationary thay he may have borrowed at an earlier time. A random Owl would deliver the message that Travers had a meeting at 11:00 am with the Department Of Magical Cooperation. The department still didn't have a permanent Head since the arrest of Crouch and the note would hint that he was picked as the new Head.

Harry would send the Owl later that day. After discussing the 'removal' of another Death Eater, the atmosphere dropped again. Harry was particularly quietly musing of another death on his conscience and Sirius didn't really know what to say that could help. Their quiet musing were broken when Tilly popped in and informed Harry that Dumbledore had left the castle.. This was a longstanding order that he should be notified whenever Dumbledore left so Harry thanked Tilly and he popped away to where the Headmaster was since his Elf tracking charm was still on the man's glasses. Harry was a little surprised to find Dumbledore nursing a drink at the Hogs Head. Harry had figured it would take longer to get to the man, especially since he hadn't charmed his glasses to show the snakes attacking him yet. He knew that Dumbledore had tried several time to cancel the Basilisk alarm, only for Sophia to immediately restart it (louder every time). She also cancelled every silencing charm that Dumbledore tried to place on it. She did leave a silencing charm up around Fawkes perch though. No need for the Phoenix to suffer. She also had fun removing every silencing charm that Dumbledore placed around his private quarters since they were attached to his office. To make it even more annoying, she would wait fifteen minutes before removing them which caused Dumbledore to constantly reapply them and not het a wink of sleep.

With a satisfied smirk, Harry popped away. But not before breaking the leg of Dumbledore's stool, causing the man to sprawl out on the dirty hay covered floor of the bar, He also timed it so Dumbledore was taking a sip of his drink which caused the almost full glass to spill all over him. Unknown to Harry, Abberforth also had a smile on his face. Harry didn't notice but Albus sure did and he had quite the scowl on his face. He sat on a new stool, after checking it over, and ordered another drink.

It was three hours before Dumbledore returned to the castle and yet another four before he returned to his (loud) office. Unfortunately he had discovered a work around for the alarm. He had put a silencing charm on a pair of ear muffs. Since they weren't part of the castle and not on a student (which she had some control over) she wasn't able to remove the charm. It did mean that he wouldn't be able to conduct business in his office, would make sure that no Floo would work for the Headmaster other than his own so he would have to leave whenever he wanted to have a conversation with someone.

Harry was annoyed that Dumbledore wasn't quite as annoyed so he initiated his and Sirius's plans and added a few more of his own.

The first one that he added was having whatever chair Dumbledore sat in be either too tall or to short. This might not seem like much but it becomes annoying very quickly. Another thing he started was to have whatever Dumbledore eat (even breakfast) be transfigured out of Lima Beans, which were the Headmasters least favorite food. The transfiguration would end as soon as the food entered the mouth. To add to the fun he also did this to random food at the Slytherin table. It's amazing how 'random' always seem to include Malfoy and Snape.

Harry decided against charming Dumbledores glasses because he didn't want his Elf tracker charm discovered and he knew that if the Headmaster started seeing things he would definitely be checking his glasses thoroughly. Not sure what else to do to the man, Harry popped to the Ministry to set up Travers accident for the next day. After setting up the preliminary wards he popped back to check in on Sirius. Sirius loved the new pranks and suggested that the Lima Beans also appear at other random tables.

That night Harry could hardly sleep anticipating what would happen the next day. He spent much of that night watching his younger self sleeping. Since the Horcrux was removed from Jr's head, dis nightmares had almost stopped completely. He still had a few because he had lived a tough life, but not as much as Harry/Dobby had seen. Harry reaffirmed his devotion to seeing that his younger self never would have to experience anything similar.

After watching Dumbledore choke through breakfast, Harry popped to Sirius's to start the days plans. First, Sirius would arrive at the Leaky Cauldron at 10:30. A squad of four Aurors would meet him there to provide security. Second, Harry would pop over to the Ministry after he made sure Sirius was safe, He would wait for Travers to show and activate the wards he had previously placed. After making sure Travers was dead, he would pop back to the Leaky Cauldron and signal Sirius that everything went as planned. The signal that they decided on was having one of the tables in the bar vanish. If everything was successful a table by the entrance to Diagon Alley would vanish and if unsuccessful a table near the entrance to Muggle London would vanish. Sirius liked these signals because they fit in with his pranking mentality.

At 11:05 a table by the entrance to Diagon alley vanished, spilling a drink and plate of kippers on an elderly gentleman in a light blue robe. Sirius raised his glass and bought a round for the bar.
