Author's note: Man I am bad at this. Hey guys. As promised, let the resurrection begin. Sorry took longer then intended to do this one. I was busy with stuff and was also stuck on how to end the story.
Chapter 3: Return of the lost memories
Normal POV
Ash and the gang continued traveling to the Pokemon League with the gang continually helping Ash try to obtain his memory back. As the gang stops for the night, Serena goes for a walk to clear his thoughts.
"The Pokemon League is in a few days, but Ash still doesn't remember anything. He can't compete in this state. How can I help get his memories back?" Serena thought
"Hey twerpette" Serena looks back to see Team Rocket
"I am really not in the mood for this right now" She replied
"We know. We have been following you guys for a while now, so we know the twerp lost his memory" Jessie responded
"You do know even though Ash does not remember you guys, we can still send you flying to the next town over" Serena says
"We are not here to battle. We want to help. Stealing Pikachu would not be fun if the twerp can't put up a fight. We know a way to get his memories back" Meowth says. Serena is skeptical
"What's the catch?" She says
"The catch is you tell him how you feel. Jessie loves a good love story so make her happy and tell him how you feel" James says. Serena blushes
"I do not know what you are talking about" She replies
"Enough games. We know you love him. So tell him how you feel or else we will not help you get his memories back and frankly you can't afford that. The tournament is very soon" Jessie says
Serena sighs "Fine. So, what is this so-called plan of yours"
"Well, what caused him to lose his memory in the first place?" James asks
Serena thinks and then realizes what they are implying "Are you saying if you attack Ash and have him hit his head, he will regain his memory?" She asks
"Yes" The trio says
"No way. Not happening. I am not endangering Ash's life even if there is a chance he will get his memory back" Serena argues
"Well if you got a better idea then spit it out. Otherwise, this is the best way for the brat to get his memory back" Meowth responds
"If anything happens to him, I will hunt you three down and make you regret that you were even born" Serena says with anger in her face. Team Rocket gets terrified
"Relax he will be fine. We just need you to distract him. While he is distracted, we will hit him with a few attacks. If all goes well, the brat should regain his memory" Jessie says
"Fine but remember if anything happens to Ash, it will cost you your lives" Serena says. She walks away as Team Rocket look scared
"She is very scaring sometimes" Jessie notes. James and Meowth agree
As Serena returns the gang, she is thinking on whether this plan of Team Rocket's will work.
"If it doesn't work, what do I do?" Serena thinks
"You okay Serena?" Serena turns and see Ash
"I'm fine. Just lost in thought. You doing better? Get any memories back?" Serena asks. Ash sighs
"Unfortunately no" He responds. Serena comforts him
"Don't worry. Give it some time" She says. Serena then sees Team Rocket from the corner of her eye as they nod at her. She knew what that meant. It was time.
"Hey Ash, do you want to see some of my Pokemon perform? It may make you feel better" Serena asks. Ash smiles
"Yeah I'd like that" He responds
Serena starts performing with her Pokemon; Clemont and Bonnie quickly join to watch as well. Ash is enjoying the performance as well. Suddenly, Ash gets a small flashback in his mind and sees Serena performing during the Pokemon Master Class.
"What was that? Was that one of my memories?" Ash asks himself. Clemont sees a confused look on Ash's face
"You okay Ash?" He asks
"I'm fine. Just thinking about something" Ash responds
Suddenly the gang is hit by smoke. Team Rocket then appears
"Prepare for trouble"
"Make it double"
"To protect the world from devastation"
"To unite all people within our nation"
"To denounce the evils of truth and love"
"To extend our reach to the stars above"
"Jessie"
"James"
"Team Rock, blasting off at the speed of light"
"Surrender now or prepare to fight"
"Meowth that's right"
"Wobbuffet"
"TEAM ROCKET" The gang, except Ash, shout
"Team Rocket? Wait I've heard that name before" Ash says. Serena, Clemont and Bonnie look shocked
"You better remember us you twerp. Now give us your Pokemon" Jessie responds. She and James send out Inkay and Gourgeist
"No way. Luxray I choose " Clemont says but Serena stops him and whispers into his ear
"Let Ash battle them. Trust me" She says. Clemont looks confused but agrees
"Ash we've been helping you remember how to battle. Think you can battle these guys?" Serena says to Ash. Ash also looks confused but then realizes what Serena means
You think a battle might trigger my memories?" He asks. Serena nods
"Alright Pikachu lets go. Use thunderbolt" Pikachu uses thunderbolt
"Gourgeist. Dark pulse" Gourgeist uses dark pulse. The two attack collide
"Tackle" Inkay used tackle but instead of hitting Pikachu it hits Ash who gets knocked to the ground.
"ASH" The gang yells and go to check on him. Ash starts to get up but then ten starts getting flash of his memories. He then realizes why he is seeing these memories and has a plan
"Pikachu. Do me a favor. Hit me with quick attack" Ash commands. Pikachu looks shocked
"Ash Why hit yourself" Bonnie asks
"Just trust me" Ash responds. Pikachu hits him with quick attack. Ash then gets hit with more memories. He gets up again with a smile
"I remember" He says. Serena, Bonnie, Clemont, and Pikachu looks happy
"It worked. Now time to take Pikachu" James responds and team rocket's pokemong come charging
"Pikachu full power thunderbolt" Pikachu hits them both with a thunderbolt and send them flying into team rocket
"Now electro ball" Pikachu uses electro ball and sends team rocket flying
"Well at least the twerp got his memory back. Now the twerp and twerpette can get together" Jessie says
"Yeah happy ending" James responds
"Not for us because" Meowth says
"WE'RE BLAASTING OFF AGAIN" Wobbuffet is heard in the background as the trio blast off
Pikachu and the rest of the gang give Ash a hug
"Welcome back Ash" Serena responds
"Thanks guys and thanks for not giving up on me" Ash says
"We should celebrate" Bonnie says. The gang agrees. Serena on the other hand has other plans. She remembers the deal she made with Team Rocket
"Hey Ash, can we talk in private?" Serena asks
"Sure. Clemont. Bonnie Why don't you guys cook us a great meal to celebrate. We'll be right back" Ash responds. They nod. Clemont and Bonnie got to make food while Serena and Ash go somewhere private. They find a cliff with a good view to talk
"So Serena. What's up" Ash responds. Serena blushes
"First Ash I am sorry. Team Rocket came to me and told me they were going to try to get your memories back and I agreed. I am so sorry" She tells him. Ash smiles
"It's fine. I got my memories back. But why would they want to help me?" He asks
"They said they would help if I told you something after they did" Serena responds
"And that is?" Ash asks
"Ash I…I" Serena starts but then gets stopped by a kiss from Ash. She had always dreamt of this moment but still couldn't believe it was happening. Ash then breaks from the kiss
"I know what you were going to say Serena. I love you too Serena" He says. Serena looks shocked but then pulls Ash in for a hug
"I've been waiting for those words for so long. Thank you Ash" She says. The two of them break the hug
"Ironically it took me losing my memories to realize it" Ash says. Both laugh
"So where do we go from here?" Serena asks
"Do…...do you want to be my girlfriend?" Ash asks very nervously. Serena smiles
"Of course" She says, and they have one more kiss
"Well we better get back and tell Clemont and Bonnie the good news" Serena says. Ash nods and they both head back
The two of them return to camp and tell Clemont and Bonnie everything. Both are very happy to hear this news and decide to celebrate this as well. The gang have a great meal along with their Pokemon
"Now that my memories are back. It is time to focus on the Kalos league" Ash proclaims. The gang laugh and Serena kisses Ash one more time
Author's note: Well that ends this story. Time to work on another. I am thinking of finally having that Ash Serena battle I promised a long time ago. I will try to upload more for now on. Bye guys
