Shadows fall amongst the floor, as a gaze upon the horizon. The bright orange sun sets slowly while I think about my recent failures. The job of my dreams was just in my hands, and lost for no valid reason. How could this happen, and why? What did I ever do wrong? Aliacrest was like second a home to me, a place where you could enjoy the lake and activities. I had spent many years preparing myself to work for a camp such as this, and one month ago my fantasies came true. I still remember how it all happened, as if it was yesterday.

I was standing in a small room with white hollow walls next to one of my closest friends, Pip; when his name was called to be interviewed. It was only then I realized I was next. Immediately I panicked, and started going over personal notes I wrote from the application just weeks before.

"Giana?" A familiar voice called out.

At that time I knew it was my turn, and luckily I wasn't going to be interviewed by Jamie, the head staff, but by Patty Caisher, a staff I have known sense I first came to Aliacrest.

Oh, what memories. Memories that didn't last long...

Miraculously I did manage to get staff, one of three other lucky interviewees, the other two where Luka and Pip, which at the time I didn't know Luk so well. Pip lasted staff for a good week, then it was decided it was his time to go. Luka, well he still remains staff today. Lucky him... As for me, I have lasted a month, exactly a month. I was demoted for not working enough, and messing around with camp equipment, which I did not do. Everyone agrees with me, except for Jamie, but as he has told me before children are bias, they only choose favorites so asking them would be unfair.

In my opinion asking the higher staff was unfair for we have different shifts, but in the end my opinion doesn't really matter now does it?

I guess it didn't matter that I was fired, it was bound to happen eventually. I mean I recently started my own business, and all of my friends work for me. Dream life, am I right? Oh yeah, wrong. My friends, all of my friends, decided to interview for staff for Alia the day after I was fired; and they all got it! Coincidence? I think not. Jamie works for me too, as a side job to keep an eye on his staff and he's not too happy about them being so committed to my business so he just may have done this to torture me.

Going back to my friends, my two best friends Ruairi and Pip who are now staff at Aliacrest, are starting to have to choose between my business or Aliacrest! My life is a disaster! My very, very, lonely life.

On most days I fight alone through life's hurtles, I have a family but they don't understand. My siblings are distant and only care about their own things, the chances of them understanding how important my job is to me is extremely slim. If only there was someone who would really get me...

Well, there is Leigh. Leigh is a naughty little trouble maker, but I treat him like a brother. He's always getting himself into trouble, and guess who has to bail him out of it? Yeah, me. He doesn't get along with any of my friends either, especially Ruairi. For them being my closest friends it's hard to see them fight so much, but they have learned to keep their distance.
