Prompt: "My cooking is so awesome, even the smoke alarm cheers me on."
Kouki was glad his morning classes were cancelled for a seminar that all Professors are required to attend. Not because he needed time to finish a pile of school work before submission the following day. Not because he wanted to rest before starting (read: Cramming) on said school work. Not really because it was he and his lover's Monthsary and said lover actually had a day off for once in a blue moon (Although that could be it, too.)
No, it's because said lover had actually planned to prepare breakfast on bed. And now, he had to deal with it.
"Sei," Kouki said patiently, staring at his partially charred meal, and completely charcoal something. "What is this?"
Seijuuro Akashi merely laughed, pecking his dear Kouki on the lips affectionately. "Silly Kouki," he cooed. "It is your breakfast, Canadian bacon and a Sunny side-up egg with French toast," Seijuuro told him. "I recalled how you found that American-themed diner we tried last week when we visited Kagami and Kuroko at Los Angeles to your liking and wished they had a branch here. As such, I decided to bring it to you with my own hands."
Kouki widened his eyes. What part of this set up is Bacon, egg or toast?! He looked up at his lover wearily. It was too early for this. "Sei, you don't know how to cook." He deadpanned.
"I have never tried, yes. But I am certain the first attempt went splendidly. After all," Seijuuro stood high and proud, nodding to himself and crossing his arms. "I am absolute."
"Then..." The mousy brunette went on, as he slowly came out of his morning stupor, and faintly heard a ringing most probably from the kitchen, "why do I hear the smoke alarm?"
Seijuuro chuckled, as if this, too, was a Silly Kouki question. "I'm afraid... My cooking is so absolute, even the smoke alarm has cheered me on."
Kouki didn't know how to respond to that. In many cases, yes, Seijuuro was absolute. He was the ideal man and the epitome of perfection. He was certainly absolute... And he had ABSOLUTELY no sense of smell, or food presentation aesthetic.
"Sei," Kouki began, reaching to hold Seijuuro's hand and giving it a gentle squeeze. He smiled, before giving him a chaste kiss. "Thank you for doing this, I appreciate it... But," he paused, hearing that the alarm has stopped and the sprinkler system of their condominium unit has been activated. "You are never allowed in our kitchen again."
