Prompt: Could you tell us about Sayuri's bankai?

Sayuri's zanpakuto ability was always vaguely space-inspired. Like her shikai? A nebula – a vast cloud obtaining its light from the stars embedded within (or in Shiroi Seiun's case, the souls trapped inside). So her bankai, I like to think is somewhat akin to a black hole. Basically every time she deactivates her shikai, all that energy she collects doesn't just dissipate. It gets sucked inside her sword where it accumulates. Her bankai basically just means she releases all that energy at once and by that time it's so dense it'll crush everything nearby (including herself– it's meant to be a suicide technique).

The good thing about her bankai is that if her opponent is anywhere close, it's guaranteed to kill them. The bad thing is, it'll cost her first her sanity and then her life.

It's also a nice tie in to my Sakumo/Sayuri AU (in chapter 14). Basically her bankai got so powerful that it ripped open the barrier between worlds and instead of killing her like it should have (why didn't it kill her, why is she still alive) she got dumped into the Naruto verse. It's why Sakumo found her wandering around dazed and lost carrying the broken halves of Shiroi Seiun (the blade will grow back, but she'll need to start from scratch now- all the energy that was contained in it is gone). It's why she was more or less unresponsive the first few weeks/months. In order for that verse to happen, Sousuke needs to die because otherwise she'd just spend all her time trying to get back to him.

(Later in that verse, she'll be asked why? Why do all this, why go to such lengths for Hatake Sakumo, a failure of both a man and a shinobi? Why murder thousands for him, why destroy entire villages for him?

The answer is simple- he made her want to live again. And besides, isn't that what you do for someone you love? You kill for them, you betray your own morals if it'll make them happy, you do whatever it takes to keep them safe? Isn't that how love works?)

Prompt: Can we get Sayuri meeting Barragan?

Baraggan staggers, coughing weakly, feeling his age for the first time in centuries. How things had gotten to this point, he didn't understand. It was ludicrous– he was the king of Death itself, he wielded the power of Time as easily as those pathetic worms serving under him wielded their claws and teeth, he far outclassed her in terms of age, power, and experience, and yet–

And yet.

"I do not wish to kill you. Kneel and this will all be over," she says quietly, causing Barragan to snarl in sudden fury. The gall, the sheer impudence–

"I am a King!" He roars, lunging at her. "I rule Hueco Mundo, I rule the hollows, I–"

He doesn't even make it halfway before he collapses to his knees. Her power swirls around him, inside him, spreading through his veins like icy poison and Baraggan swallows, paralyzed by helpless rage and what he won't admit is fear.

"I am Baraggan Louisenbairn. I am a King. I am a God," he whispers hoarsely. "I do not kneel."

The girl tilts her head to the side, contemplating him. What he hates most– more than her brother's arrogant entitlement, more than the crushing, insidious nature of her power– is the sheer indifference with which she regards him. As if her victory were a foregone conclusion and he is merely another stone, one of thousands, to be kicked aside and trampled upon on her path to conquering the afterlife.

"You do now," Aizen Sayuri says, and he hates how he believes her.

A/N: A few more snippets for you all! Also Sayuri is so done with all these idiots proclaiming themselves gods and therefore infallible. In her experience gods fall as easily as anyone else- perhaps easier.
