Pyrrha Nikos wandered through the halls of Beacon. She was trying to get a grasp of the vast school where she now taught. Students shuffled by, quick glances followed by whispers indicated what they were discussing.

I suppose the hair wasn't enough she thought, glancing at her almost pixie cut hairstyle in a passing window. It was no longer her distinctive ginger, instead being dyed black with a hint of crimson. Glynda had advised glasses as well But Arc had vetoed that.

She smiled at the thought.

"But her eyes look lovely!" He had said.

She would have to visit him again sometime soon.

She halted before a classroom. The double doors looming large in front of her. She took a breath, fidgeting with the ring on her left hand before exhaling. She pushed the doors open.

The classroom was a hive of activity. First years chatting with each other in the front rows. Each armed as Hunters in training should be: to the teeth.

"All right students!" She said loudly, her voice echoing through the classroom.

Silence reigned as she stepped onto the combat arena in the middle of the classroom. Maybe it would be better to call it auditorium?

Nevertheless she stood in the center, arms crossed, sword dangling from her hip.

"I am your combat professor this semester. It;s my job to make sure you can fight and survive as huntsman."

She glanced around waiting for a snide comment. She smiled when none came forth.

"Many of you know that until recently Headmistress Goodwitch covered this class, I won't be as lenient."

It was meant as a half joke. But the silence from the students made it clear that none of them saw it as a jest. She internally sighed. She put her hands on her hips.

"Well then! Let's begin!" She said.

"Who first?" She asked.

She almost cheered as a dozen hands went up.

"Come now Mr. Arc, one foot in front of the other."

It felt like magma poured down Arc's spine. One foot trembled in the air, twitching as he willed it forward.

"Raise your knee. That's right. A bit higher." The doctor said. Scribbling something on her clipboard as he planted his right foot back down.

"Feel free to use the bars."

Arc grit his teeth, sweat pouring from his brow. Hands gripping the railings on either side of him so tight that the skin turned white.

"I swear..."

"I know, you'll kill me." The doctor sniggered. "That's only if you can catch me though."

Arc raised his left leg. He gagged as he lowered it

"Come now, what would your wife say?" The doctor prodded.

Arc raised it again, pushing forward he placed his left foot a few inches in front of his right. As he planted weight on it, the leg buckled at the knee and he slumped, more than crashed, to the ground.

The doctor walked over, arms outstretched to help.

"No," Arc gasped, "I can do it." He pushed himself back up. His weight resting on the railings.

The doctor paused, nodded and stepped back.

"Good." She said, the faintest hint of approval in her voice.

"Two steps down ten to go."

Arc raised his left leg again. Ten floors above the physical therapy wing, Ironwood smiled, watching the video feed as he quietly listened to the latest Grimm extermination figures.

"There were a hundred!"

"Ten, Nora."

"They had axes!"

"They were Ursa." Lie explained to their dazed companions.

"And then we broke free!" Valkyrie said with a cheer. At every exit, uniformed guards seemed to turn. Hands drifting towards the batons at their hips.

"She's had this dream three nights in a row."Lie explained. he smiled, "I swear it's the jumpsuit."

"But Ren!" Valkyrie whined, "It's boring!"

"It is a uniform Nora." Lie replied.

"It could at least be pink!"

"It's only for another year." Lie reminded her.

"a whole year!" Valkyrie moaned as she slumped forward.

And Lie didn't have to wonder who they had to thank for such a light term. The cement walls of Mantle Correctional Facility #4 were too drab for Nora's liking. If they had to spend their entire sentence here, even Lie would have gone insane.

Lie picked up his tray, the chicken and porridge meal only half eaten. Nora followed.

"Is Pyrrha and our fearless leader coming to visit tomorrow?" she asked as REN bid their fellow inmates farewell.

"Two days, Pyrrha called yesterday."

"Awww. I wanted to talk to our leader. Think he's walking again?"

Lie smiled indulgently.

"I'm sure he is."

On Midgard, Penrose opened her eyes. The sky was not burning, no dragon writhed through the sky.

She smiled. For the others they would all think it was their imagination. Nothing more and nothing less. She turned back towards the restaurant. Her coffee was probably getting cold...

"Whatcha looking at Penny?" Came a familiar voice.

Penny smiled. She turned.

"Ruby!" She exclaimed as she charged and wrapped her friend in a bear hug. She practically lifted her friend of the ground as she did so.

"Nice... to... see... you...too Penny." Ruby gasped.

Penrose Polladinna, know as Penny to her friends smiled wider than a Cheshire Cat.

She released her hold on her friend.

"Where are the others?"

"Blake and Weiss's plane was delayed." Ruby said morosely.

"And Yang is coming tomorrow, Right?"

Ruby nodded, the frown vanishing as her eyes lit up.

"It'll be a big class reunion!"

"Yes." Penny said with a nod, "I look forward to discussing current events with Weiss."

"Of course you would." Ruby said with an eye roll and a smile.

"Let's get inside, there is a a great strawberry dessert here." Penny smiled as Ruby's smile grew even wider, her body practically buzzing with excitement. "WIth chocolate." She added.

"Really?" Ruby exclaimed.

Penny laughed as she pulled the cafe door open.

"Thank you miss." Said a man who came out as he zipped up his emerald green coat.

Penny nodded.

The man smiled, with a nod, his white hair rustling as he did so.

"It seems like it will rain soon. I hope the two of you have umbrellas."

"Oh shoot." Ruby said.

"I have one, we can share." Penny

The man nodded. Adjusting his glasses a moment later.

He walked off. Hands in his pockets.

"Come on Ruby, tell me about Italy!" Penny said ushering her friend in through the door.

"Oh it was great! I went to Bologna last month, mom went with me and we met up with uncle Qrow. He took us to a restaurant that is really famous and we had this amazing food called..."

The man smiled as Ruby's voice faded. Muffled by the closing door.

It seemed that they were doing well. They appeared to remember nothing of their past, neither Vytal, gods nor Remnant. Their past lives were lost. Instead, they had the lives they earned.

What of him?

"My punishment I suppose." He muttered as he stepped into the street.

It was more than he deserved.

He smiled as he walked over a bridge, he looked up at the sky. No fire, or grimm, not even a bullhead whirring by. The sky was clear except for a few black birds flying through the air heading towards the horizon. Team RWBY had rebuilt the world wonderfully. and from the looks of it, had changed very little.

He stopped as he reached the other end of the bridge. spying a tree, he walked towards it. he looked at one of the limbs, pink flowers blossomed, with small fruit hanging from the limb. He reached out an plucked the small round fruit. it was odd, he but he couldn't recall quite why.

He bit into the cookie as he went on his way, humming a little tune as he walked down the street, a faint, content smile on his face.
