Chapter 1

"What do you think Zeus wants now?" Annabeth asked Jason, as they headed up to Olympus. It was four years after Percy had disappeared, and Annabeth and the rest of the seven (minus Percy) had been made immortal. Jason shrugged.

"I honestly hope it's worth our time."

Annabeth nodded, before going quiet as they entered the throne room. When Annabeth looked off to the right, she was surprised to find Thanatos, God of Death, standing off to the side, hands on the small figure in front of him. Annabeth frowned. The figures aura felt familiar, but at the same time different, but it was hard to tell, as he or she wore a long black cloak with a hood. As if they knew she was watching, he turned his head in her direction. After a few seconds, his lips turned up in a smirk, before he turned around and started talking to Thanatos. Annabeth shook it off, and walked over to join the other new immortals, and Chiron.

"Everyone shut up!" Zeus cried. The room instantly fell into silence. After a second, he turned to Thanatos. "Care you explain what you want Thanatos."

Thanatos nodded, and stepped forward, gesturing back to his friend as he spoke.

I'm sure you've all heard that there's a new 'rogue god' correct?"

Everyone nodded, and Thanatos went on. "This is him. I've come to ask, Zeus, if maybe you could legalize his being a minor god."

Everyone turned to Zeus, as he stared the rogue god down in silence. After a few seconds, where the rogue god stood absolutely still, Zeus spoke.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt, if he stays a minor god. What's his domain?"

Thanatos let out the obvious breath he'd been holding.

"His domain is protection and loyalty."

Zeus nodded, but before he could say anything, Thanatos went on. "But he has other jobs, if you'd like the list."

The gods of Olympus shared a glance, before Zeus nodded.

"I suppose that wouldn't hurt either."

Thanatos nodded.

"He is the guardian of Tartarus." there was a collective gasp at this, and Annabeth and Nico shared a look. Thanatos ignored everything, and went on, looking over at Nico and Annabeth as he added, "If any demigod has ever set foot in Tartarus, and come out alive, you are under his protection, now and forever." Annabeth nodded at the god, who simply ignored her, waiting for Thanatos to go on. Annabeth instantly hated him.

"Is there anything else?" Zeus asked. Thanatos nodded.

"Yes. He oversees the Arena in Tartarus, and he decides which monster come to earth when, and which don't. He also oversees Atlas to make sure he can't escape."

The gods gave murmurs of approval.

"Alright." Zeus said. "Is there anything else?"

Thanatos shook his head, but the newly appointed minor god spoke up.

"There is one thing actually, that Thanatos didn't say."

Zeus signalled for him to go on. "The first is, I will be forming my own group similar to the one Artemis has, with her Hunters." Artemis growled. "However, not only will men include men," he paused, and faced Artemis as he concluded, "but it will also include the young ladies who are trapped after being harmed, or sexually abused by a man, and cannot get to an animal sacrifice." he took a deep breath, his anger clear, before he turned back to Zeus. "Thank you."

Zeus nodded.

"Alright, I have a question now. What is your name? Lord what?"

The god sighed, before turning to Thanatos. Thanatos nodded, and waited for the god to disappear into the shadows before he turned to the immortals, and Olympian gods.

"His name is Lord Perseus. Or, as you knew him four years ago, Perseus Jackson. Son of Poseidon."
