With their recent defeat, the Mystic Realm beings were in an all time moral low. The Fae had lost more than half their numbers in that ill fated battle. Akihito was beside himself with grief and guilt. It took all Asami had to stop Akihito from handing himself over in hopes of saving lives. Deep down, Akihito knew that his surrender was not what his father really wanted. Lord Yama Junpei was a power hungry tyrant. He would not stop until he had slaughtered everyone in the Mystic Realm and stole their magic for himself. There was a good chance he would not even stop there, and would try for the entirety of the human world next.
With this in mind, Akihito sent spies to infiltrate the armies of Yama's allies as well as the homes of the armies' leaders/owners and of noble humans who plead loyalty to his father.
The first of the noble allies to fall; was Edman Moore, Earl of Gisberry. The Earl was an Englishman who had more money than he knew what to do with. The Earl had no clue as to what he was funding and cared not about learning of it. He was more concerned about his gambling and whoring than that of a power crazed maniac taking over the world. As such, it did not take long for the spy and assasin Akihito had sent, to drive the Earl into debt. The spy/assasin had led the Earl to table after table. Bed after bed. Soon, that greatly amassed fortune was completely gone and Edman Moore was off to center's prison.
The spy/assassin's work did not end there. From England, they traveled to the harshly cold land of Russia. There they found the largest supporter of Lord Yama Junpei. Czar Mikhail Arbatov.

A month passed. Two then three. No word from the spy/assassin nor they themselves returned to the Mystic Realm. All others had completed their duties and returned. All but the Elf Prince, Liu Feilong. Worry settled over the Realm. Many began to believe the young prince dead. However, as the third month faded into a forth, rumors began to crop up. It was said that the Elf Prince had betrayed the Mystic Realm. That he was now allying himself with the enemy.
Creatures shifted in discomfort. Fear cropped up as many awaited for his return to the Mystic Realm. An act that would only happen when he came to kill the new king.
The rumors reached Akihito's and his advisors' ears. They however, did not believe such falsities. They knew without a doubt just how loyal Feilong was to them. His return meant that something bad had happened. Capture or worse. Death. Akihito and his men searched for the creator of such lies, concern for the discord that was cropping up over their people. Already, two young Elves had been attacked and severely hurt. Akihito held no doubt, that these lies were the work of one of his father's men. A spy amongst his own people.
