The Eulogy of Eustace
In the beginning was Eustace
And Eustace was so
With skin so fair, and a brow so thick
Eustace was born to a world so sick
His eyes shown bright, as bright as the moon
Hidden behind rims of silver tombs
On his nose rested spectacles so keen
And cloth did droop on his figure so lean
Muriel was kind to poor old Eustace
She kept him fed, and Courage knew this
The burgers he ate were a premium meat
The grease trickled from his mouth and past his cheeks
The pies his wife baked were so sweet
Muriel indeed allowed Eustace to feast
Eustace made mistakes throughout his life
Lusted buried treasure and yelled at his wife
But the horrors of Nowhere, he never did fear
What Courage would bare would cause Eustace to jeer
And he repeated one phrase through the fun that he had
To Courage, he'd say, "You stupid dog, you make me look bad!"
Visitors would come with ringing of bells
But in Eustice's mind they could all go to hell
He'd sit in his recliner, watching TV
While Muriel would do housework, cook and clean
As the years went on, his health would grow worse
It was time for Eustace to leave this foul earth
Eustace now drives his truck on streets of gold
No longer confined to his body of old.
