Secret of the Sea

Chapter 1

How Did This Start?

"Aisling, Wake Up!" A 10 year old boy who was holding a little girl in a clearing as the forest was in a uproar. The girl wasn't moving. An ear-deafening roar was heard. "Aisling, please!" The boy spoke out in vain. The 12 year old boy quickly darted his head around. "Ben! Saoirse! Jake! Cu! Anybody!" He gulped as another roar was heard. It was close. The boy turned the flashlight on his phone to look around as he said. "Sorry, Aisling." 'How did this happen to me?!' The boy thought.

At the beginning of summer..."Ooh, Almost got me that time!" The 12 year old boy said as he knocked out his friend in the game. "Jeez, Jack. How are you so good at this game?" The kid playing The New Captain Ireland said on Jack`s headphones. Jack leaned back in his chair and shrugged. "Guess it`s a talent. Oop!" Jack quickly leaned closer to the TV. "Not this time, Bow and Arrow Man!" "Well, OH COME ON!" The second boy said.

Jack then successfully knocked out everybody. The fourth boy groaned and said. "Come on, everyone knows Thunder God beats Tree Man! How did your puny Tree Man beat Thunder God?!" Jack chuckled and said. "Again, Just a talent…"

"Jack?" Jack`s Mother had walked in Jack`s room. Jack took off his headphones and said. "Yeah, Mom?"

Jack`s Mother said. "Well, you and your father have been thinking….." Jack blinked and used his hand to move the conversation. "Yes….." "We always don`t like you on your computer and video game console." "Mmhmm." Jack replied now on his phone.

His mother irritated snatched the phone out of his hand. "We're sending you to your cousins in the countryside for the rest of the summer. WITHOUT TECHNOLOGY."

Jack`s shattered face said it all. He could barely spit out the words. "W-W-W-What?!" He said putting his hands in his hair. "NOT EVEN WI-FI?!"

His mother shook her head. "You can bring your phone. But I better not hear you always on your phone."

Jack was scarred. His mother blinked watching her child not move an inch. She finished the conversation with. "You can bring the dog as well. You leave in a couple days. "

As Jack stared up at the ceiling, he could faintly hear on his headphones. "Welp, sucks to be you."
