Hello my supportive readers! Okay, since everyone had been asking so much for the second part of FMITD, I have came to grant it. Take note that this shot is a crossover—not really to be honest but it's still kinda are—between Fairy Tail and Gravity Falls—seriously, it's not really a crossover, I just merely borrow a character from GF to fit into this—and, I'm not sure if you notice, but Gravity Falls IS my favorite cartoon show. I might do an actual crossover between Fairy Tail and Gravity Falls, but it's still an undecided decision yet. Anyway, without further ado, and more of my nonsense, let's begin with the story!
YOSH!
...
Natsu's now crimson eyes stared at the unconscious state of his (soon to be) mate, his lips stretched into a thin line as his fists clenched on his side. His wings stayed still on his back while his tail swayed slightly behind, waiting patiently for the spell to be finished and sealed. Indeed, the venom he has injected into Lucy should be enough to turn her into one of his kinds but, Natsu didn't find any satisfaction in it.
It would have taken years before the transformation completed, not to mention the hasty details he forgot not to remember. Besides, there would be slight complications during the process, which he didn't know what since Zeref never mention it in his notes—except the fact he could turn anyone into an Etherious, but with some side effects. The Black Wizard didn't mention what side effects, but END knew it wasn't something good. So, to avoid such disaster from fallen upon his woman, he settled to the next best thing he knew that could help with Lucy's transformation—as well as with her existing memories.
He sighed, now feeling quite impatient as he looked at the golden-blond haired man whose wore quite an elegant looking Victorian-style outfit—complete with a trench coat, a top hat and a black bowtie settled nicely around his collar. He wore an eye patch over his right eye, stiched on it was a golden embroidery of an eye, although it was hidden beneath the blond's long bangs. Natsu was at first anxious about the guy—no, demon—when he first read about him in Zeref's massive notes but, his brother had also mentioned that the demon he summoned can make literally anything possible for the right price. He didn't want to at first, summoned the demon into his world, but he wanted his mate, his Luce to stay by his side.
So, in the end, he summoned him.
Bill Cipher, a dream demon from a realm called the Nightmare realm.
The name sounded foreign on his tongue, an unusual name to be honest. However, Natsu supposed that the name fit well with the odd demon.
"How much longer do you need to take?" The pink haired demon asked, his crimson onyx eyes glanced at his mate before looking back at the other demon.
Bill didn't bother to look at another demon—more specifically, an artificial demon a human had created and had dubbed their race as 'Etherious'. His golden eye was swirling in azure color, tinting a little his typically gleaming golden-amber eye as he focused on the female human lying still before him. She kind of reminded him of Shooting Star and Pine Tree—but not too obviously as his two humans were remarkable in their own way.
"Shut up, Flamey, I need to concentrate on this spell. Each spell has their own way to deliver and what you're asking me today is not an easy task—but nothing is impossible for a demon like me to do." Bill said with a smug smirk on his face. Natsu rolled his eyes at the demon's cockiness, already heard the demon's bragging over his 'superb' ability first hand. "Oi, I don't know if you know or Black ever mention it or not, but I can still read your thoughts. Anyway, this spell is not a walk-in-the-park kind of spell where I can get done with a snap of my fingers. It's a hasty task—alternating one's memories and turn them into a demon, or an etherious as you like." Bill said as the blue in his eye grew brighter.
Natsu gnawed at his bottom lip, carefully though as to avoid him accidentally biting the flesh with his sharp teeth. Then he sighed, "He, Zeref, did actually mention about it in his notes..." He said before sighing. Sometimes, the thought of his brother left his heart clenched and aching for he missed his brother who had disappeared to who-knows-where a few days after Natsu—no, after END had regained consciousness once the transformation had completed.
He knew his brother was probably busy—doing what, he wasn't so sure of it. He had thought that probably Zeref would like to spend a few days with him. However, Zeref being Zeref, being the wanderer himself, the Black Wizard had left without as much as a note left.
Natsu sighed once again before looking at the blond once again. "..."
Bill noticed the sudden silence from the Etherious, not bothering to look at the pink hair male though as he focused on the spell. It's true that he can turn anyone, or anything into a demon, be it a mortal human or a wizard or a mage, but it took a tool on him. Not many demons can turn something into a demon, for it took a great amount of strength, magic and concentration to do so. However, Bill was no ordinary demon! He's an all powerful dream demon, had been worshipped by many cultures, be it as Hades during Ancient Rome, Seth during Ancient Egypt or the God that was worshipped by the Atlantians before Atlantis was sunk down to the bottom of the deep sea of Atlantic. Not to mention, he had taken Pine Tree as his mate and thus, successfully turned his favorite and most beloved human into a demon such as himself.
Bill suddenly dropped his hands to his side, a sigh of relief and smugness escaped his lips, before he smirked. The azure flame that had been glinting in his eye vanished as soon as the spell (more like a curse as the female human was not aware of such thing being done to her, or was it done with her permission. However, who was him to say anything—after all, he's a demon and besides, what kind of demon would he be to let such chance passed by—to have another demon from another realm owed him a debt?) was done and settled into the human's soul and slowly tarnishing whatever humanity left in her. Of course, Bill didn't take away her personalities, although he was tempted to do so, but it wasn't a part of the deal and Bill was not one to break a deal. (For it hold back a great punishment if he did and Pine Tree would be upset if he did that and Bill certainly didn't want his little mate to be mad with him.)
Bill smirked before he looked at the pinkette. He almost let a laugh at the ridiculous hair color one would have, by genetic too (ah, those meat sacks had always been entertaining him with their genetic) but hold it back from doing so. "Alright Flamey, the spell's done and I'm famished. Anything else you want to add, perhaps," once again, his golden-amber eye catched in azure flame as he extended his hand, which was also engulfed in the same tone flame, "... another deal?" He continued, the smirk ever so present on his handsome face.
Natsu, however, shook his head in denial—refusing to be more in debt with the dream demon before him. Zeref had also noted to always be careful with him, to not easily be persuaded by his charismatic personality and sweet talking.
"No, no more deal. That's enough—it's all I need," Natsu said as his eyes once again trailed at the other blonde, still laying unconscious on the bed, her long golden-blonde hair cascading around her like a halo, resembling of the angel she was—although she would not know how he had tainted her to become a demon, an Etherious as himself so she would forever be his. His hands were inching to go to her, running his fingers through the soft locks of her hair—wanting her to wake up and be the first one her beautiful brown eyes saw when she opened her eyes—when she was reborn as an Etherious.
The blond demon shrugged, bored by the pinkette. Then he slyly smirked. "Well, since my job is done here, I shall take my farewell." The dream demon said, taking a courtesy bow, his top hat stayed still (floating?) on his head. He was about to take his leave, anxious to finally meet with his mate again. However, before he can summon a portal out from the Etherious-terrorized world, Natsu had stopped him.
Bill had to control his temper not to simply burn the other demon into ashes as he controlled his anger. He already missed his Pine Tree but this lowly demon dared to stop him?
"Wait, how about the deal? You still don't say what do you want." Natsu said, his crimson eyes flashed as he stared at the other male.
Bill's lips stretched into a sly smile, one would say his 'cruel' smile as nothing good would ever happen if the dream demon gave you that smile. However, Natsu didn't know as he never about another realm existed than his own (and Edolas) or would he ever know of the demon, if not for the note he found in Zeref's notes. Zeref made a mistake though for not including a warning about the dream demon known as Bill Cipher—of how manipulative and diabolic the dream demon was.
Oh, Bill had great ideas on how Natsu can pay his debt but, for now, it's not the right time for that, yet.
Bill cackled before slyly, he grinned. His exposed golden eye flashed cruelly at the other. "Oh, I have many ideas on how you can pay your side of the deal, kid—but now, it's not the time for it yet. Don't you worry, when the time comes," he said, not letting the other spoke yet, "You'll know," Bill said, his eye gleamed in the dancing flame before disappearing as soon as it came.
Natsu was about to say something, but shook his head, changing his mind about what's he about to say. Bill amusedly smile. Did the pinkette forgot that he could read whatever thought went passed through his silly head? Huh, as powerful as the other was, he certainly was not the smartest one he ever met.
"If you say so," Natsu finally said before glancing at Lucy. "How long will she stay like that?" He asked.
Bill shrugged, uncaring over such trivia fact that had nothing to do with his interest. "Who knows? The longest I predict would be a year—demonic transformation took a tool if it was done without the other's consent—but since she possessed the power that related—although distinctly—with the big guy above, the shortest would be a month, at least."
Natsu said nothing after the explanation, rather stayed quietly as he stared longingly at the female. It made Bill grimaced in disgust at the half-demon and half-human's melancholic expression as he stared at the other blonde—although he had done the same thing when his own mate was thrown into a comatose state after Pine Tree accidentally recite the spell that was way too strong for his fragile body to handle. However, that didn't count because he's Bill Cipher, the all powerful dream demon!
None of them said anything further than what was must as Bill popped a portal out of nowhere before vanishing back to where he had came from—leaving Natsu alone with Lucy as he waited for her to open her eyes once again.
...
Seven years later...
Natsu sat by his throne, his pink hair had lost its typical vibrancy as it had turned a few shades darker over the years, a smirk curled cruelly on his face. His gleaming crimson onyx eyes flashed in cruelty, no longer filled with the usual kindness and warmth—like the old Natsu Dragneel.
He sat on his throne, the throne that the old king of Fiore used to sat on before END and his troops of army conquered the land (and its neighboring kingdoms months later).
Then he began to speak. "You know, Gray, I always thought of you as my brother. My closest friend even, which is why I let you and the few others to live on your life. But... This is how you repay me for my brief of kindness? By planning to assassinate me in my own castle?" Natsu said, his voice dripping in icy coldness of the lack of warmth and fire he used to possess and Gray flinched at that.
He had flinched from the coldness in his always fired-up friend, the one who would help people no matter what, the one who would try to reclaim and maintain the peace and save others. Not the one who sat arrogantly in front of him, looking so regal and a complete opposite of whom he used to be before. Now, he's no longer the savior, the hero. No, now, he's cold as ice, the one who wrecked havoc and chaos everywhere, the one that inflicted pain on others and the one who whimsically killed people and endangered their lives.
Gray hissed at him, growling underneath his breath as he thrashed against the chain that kept him restraint. Hell, the chains also seemed to be enchanted by some magic blocking spell, causing him unable to use his magic to break free—or causing some damages in the castle or any demons in it. Well, if he's going to die, he's going to die in knowing he had not made his death an easy one for them to handle.
"Oh yeah, what about Happy? He's your family, isn't him? Practically a son to you, remember? And yet, you killed him in cold blood. Or, what about Lisanna? She's your best friend too, isn't she? You spent mourning over her death for two years and yet, you still killed her! What about Master Makarov? He's practically a grandfather to you and still—!" Gray stopped when END lifted his hand, his eyes annoyingly looked at Gray.
"So, what? Their deaths are collateral damage, one I don't intend to inflict upon themselves. I had told them to stay away and yet, they don't listen to me. I intend to let them live too, but, it's not my fault when they died over their own foolishness. If anyone is to be blamed for their death, it should be them because they caused their death upon themselves when I've warned them so." END said, his lips lazily smirked at him and Gray tried not to shudder under the cold gaze.
"Then, what about Lucy's keys?! Haven't you melted them even when you know it's so precious to her?! You said you care for her but why do you did that?!" Gray asked, his eyes dilated in anger as he clenched his fists.
"They tried to separate Luce from me, so, I do what I have to do. Besides, it's not like I kill them anyway. They could just pop out as another key, for someone else to find them and be their master—not my problem honestly. All I want is Luce and nothing else matter to me." END said without a hint of remorse and Gray gritted his teeth, grinding them together.
Was this truly the obnoxious boy he had known for almost his entire life—the one that can easily turned from being so warm to icy cold the next moment?
"You—! Where's Lucy?!"
At that, he seemed to pushed a button when END narrowed his eyes at the other male, his wings twitched on his back. "You... Don't need to know," he simply said. Gray was about to retort some more—probably throwing some more facts about all his wrongdoings ever since Tartaros guild's attacks—but stopped himself when the door slammed opened, followed by a familiar voice he hadn't hear for years.
"Natsu~"
That voice sent chill up to his spine, his fists tightened even more as he shut his eyes closely. Gray's ears perked at the sounds of clicking high heels on the stone floor, the sounds of silk clothing shuffling with the movements. He took a deep breath, when the sounds of high heels stop, and slowly opened his eyes.
He gasped.
There, sitting casually on Natsu, no, on END's lap was no other than Lucy Heartfilia, the girl whom he had regarded as his little sister, his best friend and also, the one who he thought had lost—or worst, dead—when no one can find her anywhere. However, as Gray gazed upon the girl, he noticed the differences in the girl.
Such as the wings, the small horns and the slim and pointy heart-shape tail and how her usually dark brown eyes now gleamed in red.
Just... WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO LUCY THROUGHOUT ALL THOSE YEARS?!
"What... What did you do to her you bastard?!" Gray yelled as he thrashed against the chain that had been constricting his every movement. He ignored the jolting pain it caused him as he glared at the other male before him—his eyes colder than the ice of his magic.
However, END ignored him.
Smiling fondly, an unusually rare sight to see when the demon was around his mate, END gestured Lucy to walked closer to him. Without any warning, he grabbed her by her waist and deliberately pulled her to sit in his lap. An embarrassed yelp escaped her lips, pink blush dusted her pale cheeks before she rested her head on END's warm chest. A purr of contentment escaped from the back of her throat as she basked in the presence of her mate.
END caressed his mate's swollen belly, the baby bump already showing a little after four months of pregnancy. "So, how's my mate and our baby today?" He asked as he rested his chin in the blonde locks.
Lucy smiled shyly. "We're both fine... However, I'm bored waiting for you so, I decide to see you." She paused as she glanced at her mate. "You're not mad right?" She asked.
END chuckled as he shook his head. "With you? How could I ever be mad at you? Like I said multiply times before, you're welcomed to come to see anytime you wish, Luce." END said dotingly. Lucy beamed at his words, before hugging him in return.
END then looked at the raven hair male.
"Surprise, Gray?" He said as he taunted at the other.
Gray gritted his teeth as he glared venomously at the man he used to think as his best friend. "You... What have you done to her?!"
A cackle escaped him as played with the long lock of the blonde hair. "Well, you can see it for yourself. I am sure you aren't blind, are you Gray? However," he continued on when he noticed the raven was about to say something—he most unlikely to give him the freedom to speak now. "As you can also see, she's pregnant with my baby." His eyes flashed eerily red as he said it, a silent and deathly warning to him, and others around, as to not harm his mate and their child or, hell would be a picnic for them.
Gray gulped, but said nothing.
END calmed down, as to not disturb his mate that had dozed off in his lap—she's easily fallen asleep when she's pregnant, no matter when or where—before slyly grinned at Gray. "Now, why don't we continue with the reason why I bring you here instead of having you dead already..." END paused before continued. "You see, when I say I don't want to kill you and the others, I really meant it. That's why, I have come upon this solution if any of you dared to approach me with ill intention. Remember Cain? From Grimoire Heart guild?" END asked and Gray huffed.
"That voodoo guy? Tch, what's up with him?" He spat, grimacing at the memories of Tenrou Island, where they were stuck in a loophole, missing seven years of their life.
"Yes, you see, I found a spell, no, a curse that is similar to his magic—a curse that would anyone become the puppets of the caster. You're alive, your soul still yours and you have you conscious but, you will be unable to disobey me. Whatever I say, goes, no matter what." A smirk, and eyes widened. "Now, you see where your nakamas have gone too, hmm?" END said.
His fists tightened as he gritted his teeth harder as his glared grew venomous. "You..."
END chuckled. "Now, enough with this talk. Guards, bring him to the lab and told Kyouka to restrain him. I'll come in an hour if she ask. Ah, Gray, before you go," the guards paused in their movement, and Gray looked at the other in a pissed off manner. "You must be wondering why Lucy seems to be unaware of you, no?" END laughed, "You know, nothing that can't be done with some mind altering, hmm?"
For a while, Gray was dumbfounded by his words. Then, when he realized the demon had meant, his expression darkened. "Why you—!" Gray didn't manage to finish his sentence as END flicked his wrist and the raven hair mage was out cold.
Without another moment wasted, they brought the unconscious male to the lab, although the cursed Elf-man tried to be gentle while holding Gray captivated.
...
"Luce~ look who I bring with me today~" END said as he entered their shared bedroom, his eyes looking excitedly at Lucy. Lucy paused in her reading, putting the book by the nightstand as she looked at her husband.
"Natsu? Who?" She asked. She was about to go to him but the pinkette rushed towards her, halting her movement.
"No, no need to move Luce! Remember Gray?" He asked. Lucy thought about the name for a while, searching in her mind if she ever encountered someone with such name. When she remembered of a certain raven haired mage with ice magic, she smiled and nodded. END smiled.
"Good! Gray, come in," as he said, Gray entered the bedchamber. His dark blue eyes that were gleaming a few hours ago now dulled.
Then, END turned to face Lucy again.
"You see, Gray's here now your bodyguard. He's going to make sure you stay safe and no harm will come upon you or/and the baby, okay?" END explained as he sat next to the blonde.
"Like Erza and Wendy?" She asked and he nodded.
Gray stood rooted to his spot, unable to say or do anything. It was as if his body was paralyzed, and God knew how much he wanted to spat at the demon and bring Lucy away from the castle, away from here—away from him.
Unfortunately, he couldn't.
END smirked at him cockily and Gray's mind was filled with anger and hatred at the demon. Then, his eyes fallen on Lucy with her belly swollen from pregnancy.
At least, for the sake of his freedom, he could still look after his little sister from any harm.
...
Okay... So, how is it? I hope this satisfies your hunger for the continuation of the one shot, over how's Lucy doing after she been captured by END.
OKAY, if any of you find themselves dumbfounded by it yet, here's a brief explanation on what's happening here.
So, Natsu makes a deal with a demon from another realm to turn Lucy into an Etherious, and at the same time, altering her memories about the keys, their friends and their relationship. Seven years later, Gray is caught in the act when he tries to kill END because he has enough (and because all of his nakamas never return from the castle each time they go to assassinate END). There, Gray finds out Lucy's still alive, although she's now an Etherious and pregnant! END reveals the reason why Gray's still alive. Gray then becomes one of END's 'puppet' and is assigned to be Lucy's bodyguard (of sort). Gray is still hella pissed with his current prediction, but, as he reasons himself, at least he can continue to protect Lucy, who he regards as his lil' sister.
Ok, is it good or it bad? I don't know since I do this in a rush. Oh, Bill Cipher is the one character from Gravity Falls. If you know the guy, good, if you don't, oh well...
Anyway, tell me what you think of this. Till then,
