Hey loyal and new readers! I decided I want to rewrite everything in this story so everything from here on out will be revised! Thanks for your patience!
Floating, far beneath the surface. Seras couldn't tell what she was submerged in, but she knew she didn't want to get out of it. The smoky tendrils floated around her limbs and soothed her, erasing any and all fear she had been feeling upon rousing within this strange dimension. Her eyes were closed, and try as she might, she just couldn't open them. Or, perhaps she had opened them – it would make no difference. The darkness caressing her was simply too thick to see through. Vampiric skill or not, she could make out nothing about her surroundings.
The mist was submerged in coiled around every inch of her form, as if she were a part of the air itself. Suddenly a figure came into view. The shadows quivered and quaked around its form. As if they were cowering in fear, the dark mist split apart to allow the figure sufficient room – room enough to avoid its touch. Seras identified the hazy outline as that of a man as he came closer. The movements of the man were smooth and hypnotizing, and Seras watched with heightened nerves as he came closer. Intimidation bubbled in her chest. Tendrils worked quicker to soothe her fears. But she did not know if what she felt truly was fear… perhaps, she thought, it was something else entirely.
Behind the man, the black mist came together again, wisps meeting and joining where they had torn apart like ripped flesh being sewn back together. As she watched the man, unable to move towards or away from him, she began to make out features of him. The man before her took strides longer than she could ever hope to take in her life time. He walked with a swagger that oozed pride. He was a giant- Seras was certain the man was as tall as two of her stacked together, at least. The man stood directly before her, face obstructed by a large hat. He reached a long arm up towards her, hand outstretched in a notion not unlike a heartfelt gesture. The man lifted his face, which was merely an endless cavern of smoke, itself. From within the deep abyss, she saw two small red orbs of flame coming towards the surface of it. She wanted to take his hand.
The flaming stars came rushing towards the surface of what should have been the man's face, and suddenly, they were there. Seras placed her hand in his, ripping her arm away from the needy wisps around her body. When she looked back to his face, his features were now plain as day. She felt her eyes begin to water and felt the heat of her tears trail down her cheeks. She whispered within the darkness one word, one breathless word, muffled by shadows wrapping around her face.
"Master?"
