Gravity:

Chapter 0: Prologue

Marinette yawned as she exited the school building. She had been getting more and more tired as of late due to the Akuma attacks growing more frequent than usual. As Ladybug, both she and Chat Noir decided to do some patrols at night to look for unusual activity. Although, Chat was kind of hesitant at first, but Marinette couldn't blame him. He would of course have a life outside of fighting the Akuma and using really bad puns. However, she was glad that he decided to do it in order to 'protect his lady'.

Marinette said a quick goodbye to her friend Alya, before beginning to cross the road. She just wanted to catch up on her rest before the lack of it began to affect her ability to work efficiently as Ladybug. She thought about how Tikki was comfortably sleeping in her purse and began to wish it was her instead, of course, they both do the same work in terms of fighting, but her kwami didn't have to spend so many precious hours trying to stay awake during class.

"Marinette!"

The raven-haired girl turned around, hearing the voice of her classmate and crush, Adrian Agreste, only to be pushed away by the blonde's surprisingly strong hands. The force carried her surprisingly far away, off of the road and rolled onto her side, facing away from the road. Her mind raced, thinking of what just happened. She didn't understand. She pushed herself up to her knees and sighed. Why did Adrian...?

She suddenly heard a crash, followed by screeching tires and screams. Marinette whipped around at the sudden noise, eyes widening at the sight.

Adrian...on his side...he was unconscious, that's what Marinette hoped it just was. She looked from Adrian to the truck that hit him and back to Adrian, realising what had just happened. She quickly stood up and rushed to Adrian's side, tears swelling up in her eyes as the blonde's best friend, Nino, called for an ambulance. Marinette's hands shook as she grabbed onto Adrian's cold one and sobbed, trying to get him to wake up.

"Adrian! Adrian! Adrian!" She continuously called with no response or sign of waking up from the boy.

The sudden wave of guilt hit her. She didn't know what to do in the situation.

She wasn't Ladybug this time. There was no hero. She was helpless. She caused it.

"I-I'm sorry, Adrian...!" She cried, soon, the sound of an ambulance approaching became clearer and clearer to hear.

Marinette had to watch as they took him away. The look of pain on his face was unbearable. She just didn't want to deal with the guilt of the whole ordeal.

She could only wish for him to be okay. There was nothing that Ladybug or her Lucky Charms could do for him now. She, along with her other classmates, stared at the ambulance drive away, out of their vision, a feeling of despair overcoming them all.

There's the prologue completed! Sorry it's so short, ahh...! The next chapters will be longer, I promise! Like, a couple of thousand words longer.

This is to help me with getting characters right, or sort of. This is my first Miraculous Ladybug Fanfiction, so...yeah...

I've been meaning to do one for a while now, and here it is! I don't know how I will go with this considering how much I try to make things sad and they end up being somehow funny...? I'm trying to work on emotions, which there should be plenty in the next chapter.
