A/N: Whoo, that DBZA Season 3 finale… In honor of that and the impending release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly, let's make up for last chapter's shortness, shall we?

Rmarcano321: To answer your question… nothing really inspired me to create her. I saw Team Four Star play Xenoverse and decided it looked fun, so I wanted it. I got the game that Christmas, and decided I wanted to play as a female Saiyan since there aren't very many in canon (in fact, there was a grand total of 2 at the time, Fasha and Pan, since Gine, Caulifla, and Kale didn't exist yet). From there I just designed her at random, taking some inspiration (mainly the hairstyle and love of puns that I haven't used enough) from Yang Xiao Long from RWBY. The color scheme came about because green's my favorite color, and I thought it went well with the shade of blue she wears with it. That's honestly how she came around.

The theme? It doesn't really have one. It's just supposed to be a fun adventure story.

Guest: Combining the Kaioken with normal Super Saiyan is impossible without killing the user from energy overload, as stated by Goku in Dragon Ball Super. She'd need to unlock Blue for that, and she's nowhere near that level. So she won't in this story. And I'm keeping sequel details clamped down (Assuming there is a sequel at all)

Gotenks rocketed ahead of the older fighters and headbutted Buu in the stomach, causing the monster to go sailing backwards. Grinning cockily, the fusion sped after his target, leaving Mizao and Piccolo in awe of his speed. "Whoa…"

"Goku said that the fusion technique was powerful, but I never imagined this…" Piccolo said, landing and reaching out to stop Mizao. "Let them handle this. Buu outclasses the both of us. All we'll do out there is get ourselves seriously injured or worse."

Mizao turned to look at the battle raging on between Gotenks and Buu, who were currently locked in a beam clash. The clash ended in Gotenks' favor, but Buu wasn't fazed much and surged out of the smoke to smash the young warrior into a tree on the Lookout. She clenched her teeth and pulled her arm out of Piccolo's grasp. "I know that" she said. "But I can't stand around and watch in a fight like this!" Her aura flared, and she used the Time Skip to dash in front of the Majin and blast him in the face, checking his assault. She followed up with a flurry of gut punches, a flip kick to Buu's chin, and finished with another blast, shearing off a massive chunk of Buu's torso.

"Hey! Quit stealin' my thunder!" Gotenks interrupted, flying underneath Mizao's extended arms and punching the regenerating Majin in the face, then using his own blast to blow off said face and send the body flying away.

"Listen, Gotenks, it'll be easier to-"

"Oh for cryin' out loud…. Listen!" Gotenks interrupted rudely. "I'm starring in this fight and you're not strong enough to even be my sidekick!" Mizao looked rather miffed at that insult.

"Why you disrespectful little…" she snarled. Gotenks ignored her and turned back to Buu, who was standing up.

"Now stay back and get an eyeful of my new secret technique!" he shouted, striking a silly pose as the freshly regenerated Buu leaped forward. "Dun dun dun! Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack!" Gotenks opened his mouth and a milky-white ghost that resembled the fusion dripped out, taking a more solid look once it had been completely freed. Gotenks proceeded to spit out four more of these ghosts, intriguing Super Buu and confusing Mizao, whose copy ability had already figured the technique out. "Go, Go, Ghosts!" Gotenks cried, directing the specters forward. Buu swatted one aside, only for it to violently explode. The other ghosts dogpiled him, causing a series of explosions that, while impressive, failed to finish the Majin off. When the smoke cleared, the Majin's body looked like a bad modern art piece, but he was still alive.

"I… hate you!" He growled as he regenerated. "Try as you might, your tricks can't hurt me!"

"Maybe five can't, but what about some more?" Gotenks promptly spat out 15 ghosts and ordered them forward. Buu just grinned and loosed an energy blast, destroying the whole group of them in one go.

"I had a feeling that would happen." Mizao thought. "Gotenks' technique is powerful, but it's so easy to exploit to minimize damage or avoid altogether that it's ultimately impractical. Doesn't stand a ghost of a chance of succeeding." Snickering at her own joke, she flared her aura again and cupped her hands. "Kamehame…"

"Galactic Donuts!" Gotenks cut her off again, drawing a ring of energy above his head. He launched the ring at Buu, then lowered it down and tightened it, holding the Majin in place.

"Hey!" Buu roared indignantly. His angry yell soon turned into a cry of panic as Gotenks promptly spat out a stream of Kamikaze Ghosts until he ran out of breath. Mizao's Kamehameha died down and she stared in awe at the state Buu was in. He was practically a frayed strip of pink flesh in a standing position. But unfortunately, not even being reduced to this state was enough to put Buu down. The Majin regenerated and furiously screamed as steam billowed from his head. Suddenly, he shot forward and crashed his fist into Gotenks' face, then axe kicked the boy clean through the Lookout and out the bauble at the bottom. Before Gotenks could recover, Buu was in his face, head tentacle glowing.

"I'm tired of fighting you! I'm going to make you candy now!" Buu grinned. Gotenks recoiled with a panicked scream, but he was too close to dodge the beam. Buu laughed and brought his tentacle forward-

"BIG BANG ATTACK!" A blue energy ball flew through and tore Buu's head clean off, saving Gotenks from becoming a piece of food. Buu's body dropped like a rock as Mizao joined Gotenks. "Are you okay?" she asked.

Gotenks slowed his breathing and regained his composure. "Yeah. I think it's about time I got serious." The fusion set himself and powered up as Buu reappeared. The Majin stayed put, curious about what Gotenks was doing. "Find the energy deep inside… tap into it… bring it out!" Mizao heard Gotenks chanting under his breath. He threw his head back and screamed, loosing powerful shockwaves that shook the planet beneath them. His hair elongated, and before long, Gotenks was transformed into a Super Saiyan 3. "Here comes the Grim Reaper of Justice! SUPER GOTENKS!" the fusion crowed. He vanished and brought a hammer fist down on Buu's head, knocking the Majin towards Earth. Mizao flew to Gotenks' side.

"Kids, do you know your dads' signature techniques?" she asked.

"Yep. But what does that have to do with this?" Gotenks asked.

"We're going to combine them. Follow my lead." Mizao said, spreading her hands apart. "FINAL…" Twin yellow energy balls formed in her hands, and she brought them together before cupping her hands- and the ball- at her side.

Gotenks copied her, continuing the chant. "KAAAA…"

"MEEEEE…"
"HAAAAA…"

"MEEEEE…" Buu shot back up and furiously launched an energy wave at them. It was now or never.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The Super Saiyans shouted in unison as they launched twin Final Kamehamehas at Buu. Mizao had learned of the technique's existence during her training with Hit and 21, and had worked on putting it together as a personal goal. Her version wasn't anywhere near as powerful as Vegito's usage of the technique, but it was certainly powerful, and when paired with Gotenks' blast, it smashed through Buu's blast and ripped through Buu himself like he wasn't even there. However, they'd aimed high, and Buu quickly regenerated before his legs had fallen ten feet. Buu screamed again, and spat a mouth wave at Gotenks, who was hit before he could return fire. Buu promptly reappeared above the two and brought his fists down on their heads, sending them both plummeting toward the planet below. He charged after them, Piccolo following in hot pursuit.

"I WILL kill you both!" Buu roared. Gotenks raised his hands, letting himself free fall as he gathered Ki.

"Heads up, King Yemma! New arrival coming up! DIE DIE Missile Barrage!" Gotenks launched a volley of blasts up at Buu, who was forced to stop his pursuit and dodge them, and even then there were so many blasts in the barrage that he ended up losing a limb or two in the process. Gotenks flipped and managed to land safely, and as such was ready when Buu came screaming out of the sky. Mizao was not so lucky. Even at Super Saiyan 2, Buu's strike had almost knocked her out cold on the spot, and her rough impact with the ground didn't help.

"Ow…" She pushed herself to her feet, groaning and clutching her head. She looked up at Gotenks, who was still blasting away at Buu in the sky. A pain shot through her skull and she stumbled, dropping out of Super Saiyan 2 and dropping to her hands and knees to catch her breath. "I need to be stronger than this… If I could go Super Saiyan 3 this would be a breeze…" she muttered as she pulled out another healing capsule to clear her head. Refreshed, she stood up and once again observed the battle above. "What did Gotenks say earlier?" she mused. "Energy deep inside…" She thought about that for a moment. What exactly could that mean? Seeing that Buu was well-occupied and knowing Gotenks could handle himself for the time being, she curled her legs in and closed her eyes, floating in place as she blocked out the sounds of the battle and delved into her mind.

"Why do I fight?" she thought. It was something she'd never really considered for very long. What she'd told Bulma was true, but she had to have other reasons besides just fun. What was the point otherwise? Goku fought to continue improving and to protect his friends. Vegeta fought to surpass Goku. Trunks fought for peace, so that others may have a better life. Gohan fought to save his world and his family and friends. So why did she fight, other than her Saiyan desire for battle?

"You already know the answer." Whispered a little voice in the back of her head. She sighed internally. She hadn't been completely truthful with Bulma- a big reason why she did this was because of her past actions. All this fighting did help take a load off her conscience, or at the very least helped her ignore it.

"I fight because I want to forget my past. I fight evil because it's the right thing to do. I fight for the memory of my old team and the safety of my new one. And I fight for myself, to continue improving, because THAT is what it means to be a Saiyan!" she thought. "Well, no more running away from the past. I've aided in the downfall of Frieza! Maybe I'll never fully redeem myself for that time, but it's time to stop dwelling on that once and for all! I've other, more important reasons to fight! Right now, I have a job to do, and I'll see it through even if it kills me!" Something sparked to life within her.

Mizao's eyes snapped open, and she planted her feet on the ground, erupting into Super Saiyan 2 with a primal roar. She'd found that energy and tapped into it. Now… she had to let it out. And let it out she did, shattering the stone around her and drawing the attention of the warriors above with the column of golden light that surrounded her now. With one final shriek and a blast of power that practically evaporated the ground beneath her, the light soon faded. Mizao shot into the air, her muscles bulked up and hair down past her feet. "Wha… you too?" Buu gasped. Mizao smirked back and flared her aura again. She'd achieved Super Saiyan 3, and it felt great.

"Let's go!" she roared, and shot forward. Gotenks followed behind, and the duo began beating Buu to a pulp before smacking him groundward. They landed to continue their assault, but before they could, Gotenks suddenly flashed white and split into Goten and Trunks again.

"Oh, crap!" Trunks cried.

"We must have used up all our fusion time with Super Saiyan 3!" Goten squeaked. Buu surged at them, but Mizao got in his way and punched him back.

"Kids, run! I've got this!" The young Saiyans heeded her warning, making a beeline for Piccolo on the sidelines. As soon as they were out of earshot, Mizao whispered "I hope." But still, she launched herself after Buu, who angrily spat a mouth beam at her. She caught it, and after fighting with it for a second she threw it skyward. Before Buu could continue his attack, a new fist crashed into his face. When the dust cleared, Gohan stood before them, decked out in a bright orange new gi and standing tall. He turned and gave the group a smile.

"Glad I'm not too late."

"GOHAN!" Goten cried happily, throwing himself into his brother's arms.

"Hey, Goten." Gohan said, patting his brother's head and returning the hug. He looked up at the others. "Trunks, Piccolo, I'm glad you're safe. And you." He turned to Mizao. "Mizao, right? Thanks for helping them survive."

"Always happy to do so, Gohan."

"Thanks, but I'd suggest saving your energy. Power down and let me handle this. He's mine." Gohan said. Mizao powered down from Super Saiyan 3, but she did not retreat. Gohan stepped towards Buu, who tilted his head with a manic grin.

"So, hotshot, you want to fight Majin Buu?"

"Fight you? No, I'm here to kill you." Gohan punctuated that threat by kicking Buu off balance, backhanding him in the face and then spin kicking him away into the sky, following up with a rapid series of kicks and then an elbow to the back. Mizao took the opportunity to jump in, returning to Super Saiyan 2 and stabbing Buu in the face as he dropped. She then swung him around and launched the rest of his body off her blade by using a second blade, this one formed of Ki, to sever his neck. She then scraped Buu's head off her sword and kicked it across the rocks. It rejoined its body and Buu got right back up, but Gohan dropped down like a meteor with a head stomp, and then blasted Buu into mush strewn across the stones. "I thought I said to stay back." Gohan chided Mizao.

"Not gonna happen, Gohan. If I stick to 2, I can save plenty of energy. Now let's get him." She replied. Gohan shrugged and the two charged at their foe, who blasted steam out of the holes in his body, driving them back and creating a makeshift smokescreen. "I think he's rather steamed at us, Gohan!" Mizao quipped.

"I figured!" Gohan replied.

"You're not funny!" Buu shrieked, and he let loose a furious blast, sending Mizao sailing and leaving Gohan to fight alone for a short time.

"Not funny?" Mizao said to herself as she stopped sliding across the ground. "Ok, now he's crossed the line." Mizao picked herself up and responded in turn with the Masenko, knocking Buu off balance. Gohan's next rush slammed Buu about like a punching bag, and Mizao joined in shortly after. Before long, they had the battered Buu staggering back. "We've got him on the ropes!"

"Then let's finish him off!" Gohan yelled.

"No… no… I hate you! I HAAAATE YOUUUU!" Buu bellowed. Suddenly, he stopped dead and threw his head back, screaming in pain and shock as the telltale purple wisps of Demigra's magic began to materialize around him. A new steam cloud formed, hiding him from view.

"Uh-oh…" Mizao gulped.

Buu's shrieks got louder and louder and higher in pitch until the steam cloud faded. Instead of the tall, imposing Super Buu, there was a tiny looking Buu only slightly taller than Gotenks standing there, a feral smile on his face and a mad laugh on his lips. It sent a chill down the spines of all assembled. Gohan and Mizao tensed, but then Buu threw his head back and screeched, blowing Mizao off her feet and over behind some rocks. When she looked up, she saw two faces looking down at her. "Oh, hi, Hercule. Dende." She sat up- and noticed Buu toss a massive energy ball into the distance before Gohan could stop him. "NO!" she screamed. As the planet shook furiously, she felt a hand grab her shoulder and the familiar rush of Instant Transmission before everything went white.

A/N: I think that's a good stopping point. 6 pages single-spaced, a bit over 3000 words, and right as the battle with Kid Buu is about to start. Now if you're wondering about Vegito, sorry, he's not in this fic. His scenario isn't in the game- this is mostly how it goes in game- and I can't think of a way to fit him in that wouldn't have him just kill Kid Buu right off the bat. Remember, according to history Kid Buu must die by the Super Spirit Bomb. So Mizao's hit Super Saiyan 3. If you're wondering why she isn't seriously drained right now, it's because she was only in the form for a few minutes before Gohan showed up and she could afford to power down. Goku uses SSJ3 in short bursts in Super without showing too many signs of fatigue, so it does have precedent. Next time, we'll be taking on Kid Buu and setting up for Beerus! Hopefully it'll happen before Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out. See you next time, everybody!
