Chapter Thirty-One
(Recap, since it has been awhile, sorry! King Papaya's army speed through space towards Earth in hopes to take Reina back to Planet Salas where she is to mate with the King and sire his sons. Reina and Vegeta went to the Room of Spirit and Time to train for their arrival, but their passion led to Reina being claimed by Vegeta. Mated, the two continued training for months, until Reina discovered she was pregnant. The tension mounts as the army approaches and now Reina may not be able to help fend them off.)
Thanks for hanging in there! Life has been hectic on me lately, but without further adieu, here is chapter 31!

The door to King Papaya's office slid open with a soft, electronic hum. The old seer Yume and her lone controlled guard stepped inside the cramped space. The king was sitting in a large command chair studying a map in front of him on the desk. His head looked up slowly as the old woman leaned on her stick on the other side of the desk.
"You wanted to see me?" The old crone spat out dryly. The placid guard stood rigid and emotionless at her side.
King Papaya nodded once, "Yes. It is about time for you to stop putting all my forces in the infirmary. I know the importance of keeping the princess from dreamwalking, but I need my army in top shape for our arrival more. We should be there in a few more days. Let the injured rest and stop adding to them!" The king's voice rose in volume as he spoke, more than a little irritated at the seer's tactics.
Yume gave a fake smile, "Of course, your grace. I suppose I could just let her communicate with her sister, hmm? Oh hoo ho, I am sure nothing bad could come of that," the sarcasm in her aged voice did not go unnoticed.
Papaya's good eye narrowed slightly, "I do not appreciate your tone, Dreamweaver. Find another way, and remember, you are still under my employment." He glared with his right eye, the scar over the bridge of his nose wrinkled noticeable.
Yume made a show of bowing overdramatically, "Why of course. Whatever you say, your grace." Her tone still held that biting sarcasm, but she did not argue with the angry saiyan. The king visibly relaxed, even slumped back in his chair.
"Good. I am anxious to get the Grand Weaver and get back to running my new kingdom. I hate space travel. I also owe that foreign saiyan a blast to the FACE!" The man's fist crashed down into the desk in front of him in rage. The map and metallic desk both buckled into the shape of his gnarled fist. The saiyan snorted as he withdrew his hand, "You are dismissed, but send the captain back to me if you see him." The king made stern eye contact with the seer.
Yume bent her head slightly in acknowledgment, "Of course, your grace." She gave a sarcastic curtsy, turned with a smile, snapped at her fingers, then left with her mind controlled escort.

Reina was lying in her bed on her side, facing the balcony of her room and the late night skyline of the city. She was listening to the traffic noises and city beats filtering in from the open window. She watched the sheer, white curtain flutter erratically in the windy night air, then wrapped the blanket tighter around her bare body as she lay prone on the mattress. She shuttered unconsciously as her hand migrated to her stomach to rest there.
I still cannot believe it has been almost two months already since we got back from the Room of Spirit and Time. When we came out of the time chamber, everyone was so happy for us, about the baby, but I still keep getting this feeling like this is wrong somehow. I-
Not this nonsense again, Kyuri. We have been over this a hundred times already. THAT baby is mine, MY son. WE are a family now. YOU are mine. I do not care what ANY one else thinks!
Reina sighed with a half smile, her eyes drifted back and forth, steadily focused on the trail of light the moon cast through the curtain as it continued to ripple with the wind.
No, no, I do not care about that either, what I mean is….I feel like it….I don't know…like it was not meant to be. Like my pregnancy-
Is the best thing that ever happened to me? Do not ruin it for me. Our son is a PURE blooded Saiyan. HE is the prince now that will carry on my legacy.
Reina smiled to herself, then I guess that officially makes you KING Vegeta now, huh? She heard no response for several minutes.
Reina and Vegeta had spent the rest of their time in The Hyperbolic Time Chamber learning how to effectively communicate with each other using just thoughts. Reina found it easy to do, and after some getting used to, Vegeta found he preferred the silent communication because no one could hear him but her. It also had its usefulness in battle, though Reina was not going to be able to help with the fight to come, a fact that worried her.
The bed dipped down behind Reina some time later as Vegeta scooted towards her on his knees. The prince bent over her prone form and presented a cup of hot chocolate, still steaming and topped with a dollop of whip cream. He set it on the bedside table in front of Reina.
"Of course it does," His breath was hot and tickled the shell of Reina's ear as the man laid down behind her. His body form fitted perfectly behind the pregnant princess.
"But that would make you my Queen," Vegeta's baritone voice purred in her ear as his lips grabbed ahold and suckled semi gently. Reina giggled and shied away reluctantly, not wanting to be distracted from the conversation.
"Heh, I guess so. I am still worried about the upcoming battle though. I still have not gone into labor. It should be soon right? Humans take nine months to gestate, do you know how long it is for a saiyan?" Reina asked, anxiety evident in her voice.
Vegeta let his right hand migrate down the girl's bare shoulder to lay against her taught belly, stroking it slowly in a gentle pattern, "I was young when my planet was destroyed. I did not concern myself with information like that, but given the similarities between the two species, I would say it should be roughly the same."
Reina felt the baby kick out towards Vegeta's strokes and smiled at the distraction, "He knows it is you. Did you feel that?" Her quiet voice could not quite hide her excited pleasure.
Vegeta smirked, "Of course. I can feel his ki energy strongly already as well. He will be formidable, indeed."
"So, when the army gets here, are you sure Goku and his friends will be alright? I am worried about Yume. I do not want her to control any of you. If she gets-"
"Shhh, hush woman. That old crone was only able to keep us captured because they used those damn ki draining cuffs. Without those, she will not have any power over us."
Reina nodded her head, still with her back to him, but loving the warmth his nude torso provided as they lay together in bed. She watched the wisps of steam waft up from the cup on her bedside table.
"I have fought much stronger opponents. We will be fine without you." Vegeta emphasized with confidence.
Reina scoffed, "Tsk, you would be better off with me. The whole point of training in that chamber was so I could get stronger. Now….with this," her own hand rose and touched her extended belly, near Vegeta's still wandering hand, "Ugh, what a mistake."
Vegeta tensed behind her, his hand stopped moving on her belly as he sat up slightly and shifted to look down on her face, making eye contact, "Do not say that. He is not a mistake." His eyes were stern, and he looked a bit hurt as he whispered forcefully, as if trying not to let the unborn child hear him.
Reina gave a reassuring half smile, "You know what I mean. The timing was horrible. I do not think he is a mistake, just the timing of….this." She looked down at her belly again and sighed.
Vegeta settled back behind her, his hand resumed it's lazy strokes over her stomach. They lay quietly together for a few minutes before Reina spoke again.
"Still, I am glad it happened. I would not take it back for anything in the world. I am glad to be your mate." She snuggled closer back against him.
Vegeta snorted, "I cannot believe you were here on Earth this whole time. I honestly had forgotten about you after Planet Vegeta was destroyed. My life turned into a whirlwind of jobs for that bastard Frieza. I never intended to even stay on Earth, but after things went down with Cell…" He trailed off.
"You got with Bulma and had a child together? How is Trunks doing, by the way? I have not seen him or Goten since we got back. I miss my students, those two in particular." Reina reminisced.
Vegeta buried his face in the crook of Reina's neck and shoulder, inhaling as he spoke, "He is fine. Last time I visited, he asked about you. Apparently he knows about the baby and was curious about his half brother." His lips planted chaste kisses on her shoulder.
"Oh that is right! He IS his half brother! Well he can visit anytime he wants. You know, we may have to get a bigger apartment." Reina mused.
Vegeta snorted, "There is no point. Once we take care of this attack, and dispose of the false Saiyan King, then you and I will move to your planet. There is nothing for me here, besides Trunks, but you can use that third class trick of yours to bring us to visit him, or him to us."
Reina sat up and turned to face him, awestricken, "You really mean that? You will come back with me?"
Vegeta rolled his eyes, "Of course, woman. What did you think would happen? Your people all depend on you, and we are mates. So, we have a kingdom to get in order, and a son to raise."
Reina smiled from ear to ear, "You still surprise me," She made a obvious attempt at looking him over, "Are you sure you are the same Vegeta I once knew?" She giggled.
Vegeta scoffed dismissively, and his cheeks turned crimson, but he did not reply. Reina took a few sips of the hot chocolate before laying back down. The conversation was pretty much closed, so they fell asleep in each others arms shortly after.
Wandering. The halls seemed to go on forever. Left, right, or straight forward , all paths just kept going.
Reina found herself in the hallway of dreams once more. Though she walked the halls almost every time she fell asleep, she never came across her sister again. Reina gave up some time ago looking for her older sister. Instead, Reina would occasionally open a random dream door and watch the sequences within. Some were pleasant, some were straight up nightmares, but most were just random weirdness that sometimes made her laugh, but mostly made her scratch her head in wonder.
Her feet carried her around another corner and the torch in her hand cast it's light down another long, lonely hallway. Reina sighed and shuffled forward, counting doors until she reached number twenty-five. The counting gave her something to do, and made the hallways seem all the bit less like random chaos.
Reina reached her hand out to grasp the desired door's shiny brass knob, when a movement to her left and down the hall caught her eye. Her head turned towards it as she gasp. The flutter of a night gown just fell out of sight. Reina wasted no time. She took off down the hall on the familiar chase.
It cannot be, she thought as she ran faster. She heard the other person's footsteps slapping the stone floor just ahead, further confirmation that at least SOMEONE was here. Even if it was not her sister, it was someone Reina could talk to. Maybe get some answers. The girl ran on, following the footfalls in hopes to find her sister and get her help to defeat the king. She turned another corner, and moved to run forward, but the clatter of the wall sconce in front of her told her whoever was just here, was gone now. It hit the floor and the fire went out, and just like that, Reina was alone again.

Captain Rou awoke with a pounding headache. He sat up on his cot and winced from the quick movement. He looked around with squinted, watering eyes. The dull, artificial light hurt his eyes as he tried to remember what brought him here.
He was in the infirmary. His hands were bandaged from what he could tell. Did I just fall asleep here?
He was not sure, but his muscles screamed at him in agony as he slowly rose from the cot to make his way to the bathroom down the hall. One of his underlings saluted him as he past, but Rou did not have the strength to even lift his arm to salute back.
Why am I so sore? I remember going to get Yume on the King's orders, but…
Rou's thoughts trailed off as rounded a corner and saw the old seer approaching him from the end of the long corridor. She gave a crooked grin as she leaned on her staff for support as she hobbled forward, a lone guard ever vigilant at her side.
"Ahh, captain. Just who I was coming to see," Her voice cooed innocently. Rou snorted.
"What do you want?" He spat out with distain.
Yume smirked menacingly, "Oh hoo ho, such attitude. I am simply coming to tell you that the King requests another audience with you. That is all. Besides," her eyes caught his as she smiled a little wider, "I have to be getting back to the princess. Cannot have her getting lonely." Rou could see the underlying pleasure in the old woman's face and scoffed, but said nothing. He snapped his feet together and forced his hand to his head in a salute, "Hai. I will go at once."
Yume said nothing more as she hobbled past the captain and on down the hall towards the prisoner wing to continue her torture of the elder princess.
After relieving himself, Captain Rou made his way towards the King's command office. They had been travelling quite some time, so Rou was almost positive he knew what the King wanted. He approached the large door and knocked quickly, then waited. A booming "come in" sounded only moments later. Rou pushed the button by the door and the panel slid away. He stepped into the room and bowed in respect, though his muscles still screamed at him in pain. He righted himself and stood at attention until the King spoke.
"Ah, captain, have a seat." The king barely looked up from some maps on his desk that he was busy trying to smooth out.
Rou took a step forward and sat in the chair across the big, metal desk. He waited silently for the King to speak.
"The ship's captain informs me we will arrive at this planet Earth in a few more days. I want you to start leading one squad at a time into the training room and let them all stretch and get ready for battle. Make sure Yume did no permanent damage to any of them." The king stated.
Rou remembered the infirmary, full of his subordinates and his eyes narrowed. She must of got me too, why else was I in there?
"At once, your grace. I will start with Alpha squad after lunch." Rou stated sharply with a small head nod.
The king nodded back slightly and flicked his wrist, indicating Rou should go. Rou stood and saluted again, then turned and left.

Tsukemono passed out. It was one of the few time she was actually left alone long enough to do so, and she would not have been able to stop herself if she had tried. She soon took on her child's form and found herself wandered down the familiar hallway of dreams in search of the one dream room she liked most.
This room was her old room in the castle back before her parents had died. The dream associated with it was hers as well, one that made her the happiest she had ever been in her life, which is why she kept visiting it. It was the time she met the new blacksmith's son, Rou.
Tsukemono grabbed a torch sconce off the wall and proceeded casually down the hall. It was then that she turned a corner and saw her.
Her little sister, Kyuri. She was the reason why Tsukemono was chained up. And for what? Because the old crone suspected her of talking to Kyuri and helping her, though Tsukemono told the old crone numerous time she did no such thing. Tsukemono turned immediately and ran away from her sister. She ran as fast as she could, wanting nothing to do with her sister and the misery she had caused. Tsukemono knew if the seer caught her AGAIN with her sister, she was dead.
Tsukemono had a feeling she was dead anyways, but did not want to do anything that may expedite that fate. She ran on and on, even as she heard her sister's footsteps following, she ran to get away. Her dreams had become nightmares. She ran, and soon noticed the walls were starting to fade. *No! No no NO! Leave me ALONE!* She thought in a panic as darkness descended upon her.
Yume entered the torture chamber once again. She smiled at the elder princess' slumped head, knowing that the saiyan was likely asleep. Yume hobbled closer, then used her staff to lash out at the princess. It crashed against Tsukemono's shoulder painfully several times, making the gagged princess whine loudly followed by a pleading moan. Her head barely moved, but Yume knew she was awake. She focused on her thoughts. Nothing but tired pleas of mercy came through so Yume smiled.
"Ah princess. I do hope I did not catch you at a bad time," the seer smirked as she reached out and grabbed the tied up princess by the chin, pinching the dirty flesh as she raised Tsukemono's head to meet her harsh gaze.
Tsukemono's eyes slowly opened to meet Yume's. Dark circles could be seen under her once bright, black orbs, and the corners of her eyes were watery with tears that the princess tried desperately to hold back. Despite this, one slipped free and ran down her cheek which only made Yume's smile widen.
Yume reached forward and wiped the lone tear away and tilted her head in an almost motherly manner, "Ohh, tsk tsk tsk, do not cry. It is unbecoming of a princess. Why, what would Captain Rou think of you if he saw you display such weakness?" Yume asked with mock sympathy.
Tsukemono gulped down the lump rising in her throat as she lowered her eyes again, allowing them to sag closed in defeat. She was pathetic. The captain would never love her now. A saiyan would never be caught crying or pleading for mercy.
Please, just kill me now. I cannot bare to live like this anymore. You are right. Nobody will ever love me...especially now. Please….please kill me.
Tsukemono's head and shoulders bobbed as silent sobs took hold of her. Yume shook Tsukemono's head by the chin, until her eyes lifted sluggishly to the seer's face again.
"Ohh, it will not be long now. Patience princess. We will be landing soon enough and I'll have the captain himself end your suffering." She smile as she leaned a bit closer and whispered, "Will that not please you? To know the man you love so, will help end your pathetic existence?" Yume released the princess' chin then threw her head back with a genuine laugh of pure pleasure. She then hobbled over to one end of the cell to watch and listen to the princess' quiet sobs and pleas for death, delighted in her discomfort.
Yes…..it will not be long now…first the elder sister…then the grand weaver herself. Yume thought to herself as she leaned in a corner and concocted a plan to be rid of this saiyan family once and for all.

Reina woke up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat. She sat up, her chest heaved as she panted. She felt something heavy in her heart, like something was terribly wrong. She flung the covers off herself and swung her legs out of bed. She padded the short distance to her balcony and stepped outside to breath in the cold air. She looked off into the early morning sky, her heart tightened with worry. Her hand stroked her belly as she thought.
Vegeta tossed in his sleep. He turned to his side, groping for his partner, only to feel empty sheets. He woke up and sat up abruptly, his head turned left and right in momentary panic. He spotted his mate standing out on the balcony watching the sun slowly peak outside. He sighed quietly and rose to join her.
"Something the matter?" He asked as he parted the balcony curtain and stepped up behind her.
Reina sighed and leaned her head back against him, "I am not sure. I cannot help but feel like….like something is out of balance. Oh, part of me wishes that blasted army would just get here already and end all this…this wondering." She sighed again.
Vegeta nodded behind her, "Soon enough. Come lay back down, it is chilly out here. Are you hungry? Would you like some breakfast?"
Reina smiled then turned back to him, "You know, it is weird adjusting to this new side of you," she saw his brows knit together suddenly, then ran a hand up his chest to rest over his heart reassuringly, "not that I mind, it is just a change. A good change." She tilted her head and kissed him sweetly. Vegeta kissed her back, his arms raised to wrap around her and hold her tightly. As their lips parted, he bent and scooped her up bridal style and led her back to the bed. He set her down and grabbed the now cold mug of hot chocolate that was left sitting on her bedside table the night before, "Stay here and let me make you and our son some breakfast." He glared sternly then turned to leave her bedroom.
Reina pulled the covers up around herself as she watched him leave. She then turned back to the window and sighed.
Later that day, Reina asked Vegeta to gather up the Z fighters so she could talk to them all at once. She had a feeling the army would arrive any day now, and wanted to make sure that they all knew what to do, and how to protect themselves. They all met at Kami's lookout.
"Reina, shouldn't you be at home resting? You look ready to pop!" An ever tactful Goku spoke up first as they all sat around a small table. Mister Popo served drinks to them all.
Vegeta glared at his rival, but Reina just rolled her eyes with a small smile, "As much as I would love to be sitting peacefully at home right now Goku, I fear I cannot until I am sure you are all ready for the battle to come." She turn to address them all.
"As you well know by now, an army is coming from my home planet to try and claim me and take me back. Most of your enemies will be nothing any of you can not handle, but the seer Yume and my sister have special powers like me, and could prove formidable if you do not know how to guard against them. I am here to train you in how to repel their mind tricks."
Yamcha spoke up first, "Mind tricks? What, like how a magician makes you cluck like a chicken with hypnosis?"
Reina turned to him, not happy that he was here because of his indiscretions with Bulma, but they did need all the able body warriors they could get. She decided to have some fun at his expense, "Sort of, but way more powerful than that."
Reina walked over to him then, smiling. He was sitting on a chair around the table with the others and eyed her curiously as she stopped in front of him and stooped down, her hands resting on her knees so she was eye level. His eyes wandered down to her low cut maternity shirt, taking in an eyeful of her cleavage before he snapped his head and eyes back up to hers sheepishly.
Watch closely to the powers I am talking about, Reina broadcast telepathically to all but Yamcha. Everyone turned to her then, curious.
Reina bit her lip and stared at Yamcha deep in his eyes. Yamcha's face turned to an admiring stare, effectively under her control in seconds. Reina's smile widened, "Yamcha, you are a monkey. Do a little dance for us."
Yamcha immediately jumped up from his chair, crouched on his knuckles and feet, hooting like a monkey. "Ooh Ooh Oooh Eee," He began to dance about. Reina turned to the others as he continued to dance behind her, "You see? I can control him and make him do whatever I want." She turned to Yamcha again, "Yamcha, you are not a monkey anymore. You are a fierce warrior, the bravest human ever. Fight Goku," she pointed to the saiyan warrior, "kill him." She looked to Goku in amusement, who quirked his head, confused.
Goku gasp as Yamcha straightened up, and stopped acting like a monkey in an instant. His face turned hard; His eyes turned and focused intently on Goku. He screamed loudly as he lunged. Goku leaped up and grappled with him. Normally Yamcha's strength was nothing compared to Goku's Saiyan heritage, but Goku felt a difference.
"He is stronger! Actually stronger, I can tell," Goku grunted out as he fought with the bewitched Yamcha. Yamcha grit his teeth and stomped on Goku's foot, getting the Saiyan to release him. He backed up and charged a Kamehameha with malice in his eyes. His ki formed in his hands a deep crimson, not the normal vibrant blue. Goku's eyes widened as he prepared to counter, but Reina stopped Yamcha.
"That is enough, Yamcha! Sit back down in your chair NOW!" Reina barked out with force. Goku stopped charging his defense, and Krillin, Gohan, Videl, Eighteen, Dende and Piccolo all watched in amazement as Yamcha stopped charging his attack, his eyes lost their murderous glint and he turned and walked over to his chair beside Krillin. He sat calmly, motionless. Vegeta snorted and rolled his eyes, but inside he was amused that Reina picked him to be her guinea pig.
Reina turned her head and caught the gaze of all her friends, confirming silently that they understood, then she stooped back down in front of Yamcha and snapped her fingers, releasing him. Yamcha blinked several times, then his eyes focused on Reina, "Well? Were you going to answer my question? What powers?"
Krillin and Eighteen exchanged a disbelieving glance, Gohan's mouth dropped, speechless, and Goku laughed heartily. Reina backed up from him and took her own seat next to Vegeta, "Yes. Yume the dream seer and my sister can take control of your mind and make you do what they want. They can make you sit on the sidelines, they can make you attack each other, they can even make you kill yourself," She let the gravity of that sink in for a few seconds, then continued, in their minds, but that is not all. Not only can they take control of your body, they can also hear your thoughts, hear your battle plan before you even attack.
Reina closed her eyes then and invaded the thoughts of those around her as they each processed her words:
They can hear our thoughts too? That's crazy! (Gohan)
No way. No way they will mind control me. (Eighteen)
I cannot believe he just danced like a monkey! (Dende)
God her tits have gotten big. (Yamcha)
Geez, if that's true, I'm not sure I will be much help in this battle. (Krillin)
How are we going to stop someone from hearing our thoughts? (Piccolo)
I just won't have any thoughts, they can't control me then! (Goku)
I will be useless in this battle. Everyone is so much stronger than me. (Videl)
I know you are listening, hurry up, woman. You need to go rest. (Vegeta)
Reina smiled and opened her eyes. She addressed each of them, "Yes, Vegeta, I am hurrying. Videl, your strength nay not be in fighting Yume or my sister, but the Rocharri are easy to fight, and your talent will be more then enough to keep them at bay, you too Krillin. Goku, you are kind of on the right track. Clearing your mind and having no battle plan will help, but I am afraid it is near impossible not to telegraph your intended move. Yes Eighteen, they can and will if you are not guarded. Yamcha, focus on the task at hand, please, and Dende, I will show you more of my powers later. Now, Piccolo asked the right question, 'how can we stop them'. This is how."
Reina went into detail then on how the group could block they seers by repeating loops of trivia. It was hard to get them to understand how important it was to keep it up, but after several hours of listening to them, she finally got them to block out her mental invasion. Exhausted, she reminded each of them to go home and practice, then she said her goodbyes, and used her Instant transmission to transport Vegeta and herself back home. Vegeta was right, she did need to rest. The baby kept kicking her all day throughout their meeting. Vegeta cooked a quick meal for them, and Reina fell asleep soon after.
Later that night, Vegeta sat in the living room of the girl's apartment in silent contemplation. He stroked Reina's purring cat absentmindedly, trying to wrap his head around all that had happened, and all that will come. Reluctantly, he knew there was one thing he had put off long enough that had to be done. He sighed as he picked up the phone off the table beside him and dialed. It rang three times, then was picked up.
"Hello?" A sleepy, feminine voice answered.
"It is me, Vegeta. As much as I hate to say this, I have to ask something of you." Vegeta grumbled out.
"Vegeta?! Oh, what is it? What can I do for you? Did you want to come back, cause we can work-"
He cut her off, "Shut up. I would never come back to you, but you owe me a favor since you treated me like shit."
"A….a favor? What kind of favor?" Bulma asked less than enthusiastically.
"I need you to be ready to deliver Reina's baby. It could happen any day now, I can feel my son's ki getting stronger. He is almost ready."
"Pft, like I would deliver her baby. Why would you even come to me for that?" Bulma asked with anger in her voice.
Vegeta gripped the phone tightly in his hand, annoyed, "Because woman, you are the only one who can deliver a Saiyan baby!"
"Ok, ok, fine. If I do this….can we be on speaking terms again? I….I know we will never be together again, but it we could just be friends…for our friend's sake-"
"You will do this, and then when this battle with the false Saiyan king is done, Kyuri and I are going back to her planet and I hope to never see you again! The ONLY time you MIGHT see me is when we come to pick up Trunks to spend some time with him. Be ready to drop everything you are doing to deliver my baby, or so help me you will not live long enough to lament your wrong doings!" He slammed the phone down in it's cradle, huffing in anger. The cat, startled, ran off towards the bedrooms. Vegeta went to bed sometime after, once he calmed down enough to sleep soundly.

Rou was lying bed when a small knock came from just outside his door. "Come in," he said sternly, curious as to who would be visiting him after hours.
The door slid open and Peanu came in, bowing just before he closed the door behind him.
"Hello my friend, I am sorry to bother you. I had some things to speak about, oh yes it is true." Said Peanu.
Rou sat up in bed and gestured towards a chair near a desk in the small room. Peanu approached it, and climbed up into it. His feet dangled off the ground from his small stature.
"What is it, my old friend?" Rou asked, then yawned.
"Peanu is your friend, this is true, and he can sense that something is bothering you." Peanu said.
Rou was used to his friend's rhyming tongue by now. This was his way of asking Rou what was wrong with him. Rou sighed, "Oh my friend, I am just mentally trying to prepare for the battle to come. I will fight to get Kyuri back, but I do not wish her to marry King Papaya. This is my dilemma, well that and facing that false Prince Vegeta. This is all HIS fault. If he had never shown up on our planet, none of this would of happened!" Rou spoke passionately.
Peanu whimpered at the mention of Vegeta, "That one was a menace, yes it is true, but maybe Peanu can be some help to you." He nodded his small head.
Rou chuckled, "Oh yeah? How do you figure, little one?" He was genuinely curious. Peanu had pledged himself to Rou because Rou once saved his life from a lethern attack. The little creature was always coming by the palace to visit him and would not let Rou go on this mission unless he came along.
"I have grown much since we first met, my strength will help in the battle to come, so do not you fret." Peanu nodded with confidence.
Rou nodded back, not really believing him, but humoring his old friend, "of course my friend. Now off to bed with you. We will rescue the princess soon enough. I must rest now."
Peanu jumped down out of the chair, bowed, then left the room. Rou laid back down in bed and soon fell asleep.
