My first "Inside Out" OneShot fan fiction!

This is a short story I wrote connected to my "Emotions At Disneyland" drawing series on DeviantArt. I suggest that you check those out. Unfortunately, links to my DeviantArt page don't seem to work on this site, so I'm afraid you'll have to search for them yourself.

This could be considered as a StarNerve fanfic, but that is up to interpretation.

Riley was sound asleep. All of Headquarters was quiet. All of the emotions were asleep, except for Joy. She was sitting on the couch by the control panel, with a pile of memory orbs next to her. The pile consisted mainly of golden-yellow and purple memories; most of them were a mixture of the two colors.

Joy was holding one of the memories in her hands. Inside the memory was a picture of Riley and her parents watching the fireworks from Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland. Joy just admired the memory and smiled widely.

Fear came down the stairs and saw Joy on the couch. He walked over to her. "Joy?" Fear said, "What are you doing down here at this hour?"

Joy turned to face Fear. "Oh! Hi, Fear," Joy responded. "I was just looking at the memories we made."

Fear sat down next to Joy. "Which memories?" he asked.

"The memories we made at Disneyland," Joy answered. She showed Fear the memory orb. "Remember?"

"Oh yeah!" Fear said. "That was fun." He chuckled a little.

Joy smiled. She put down the memory. "I was just imagining all of us out there in the park with Riley."

Fear looked at Joy in confusion. "As in, outside of Headquarters? In the actual park? With Riley?"

"Yep!" Joy answered. "We were having so much fun there! I just wish I could be out there with her, and see her smiling face."

"But Joy," Fear said, "We were with her. We've always been with her."

Joy giggled a little. "I know that, Fear," she said. "It's just that... we had such a good time there, you know? I wanted to share the moment with her."

Fear touched Joy's hand. "You did, Joy. We all did."

Joy faced Fear and touched his hand. "At least I got to share the moment with you."

Fear blushed. Then, Joy kissed him in the cheek, making his antenna form a zig-zag shape.

Joy picked up another memory orb from the pile. "Would you like to look at these memories with me?"

Fear smiled. "Sure!" he said. He scooted up next to her.

Joy and Fear watched the other memories for quite some time. Eventually they fell asleep on the couch. They slept quietly for the rest of the night. A smile stayed on Joy's face as she slept. For Joy, this was the perfect ending to a perfect trip to the happiest place on Earth.
