"What I'm asking is a huge favir," Chloe told him yet again, Trixie at her side. He understood the responsibilities. Understood the pros and cons, and felt like it could be a possible success.
"Oh, alright! I'll keep an eye on the small human. She smiled at him before knealing down to Trixie's level.
"Behave for Lucifer. I'll be gone for a few hours, four tops. You going to be okay?" He felt offended. Trixie was going to be fine. The question Chloe should have been asking was if he was going to be fine.
"I'll be okay," the child answered, giving Chloe a hug. She stood, facing Lucifer again.
"When I get back, everything needs to be how I left it." Her voice was stern, and he knew she was serious. He nodded, understanding the implied threat on his life. When she left, Trixie smiled up at him.
"Let's play a game!" Her voice was full of enthusiasm. He looked at her with slight distance and confusion. "It's called Monopoly."
"Fine, small human," he agreed, sitting at the table and waiting for her to return with the game.

He didn't understand how she'd won in such a short amount of time. He was the King of Hell, and a small child beat him. More like smeared the floor with him. She had a mischievous grin on her face and laughed at his confusion. He was starting to like this child.

He was woken by Chloe gently shaking his shoulder. Trixie was curled into his side as they lay on the couch, his arm wrapped around her to keep her close.
"She's got you wrapped around her finger," Chloe joked, chuckling with amusement. Children weren't his forte, their desires being only ponies and candy. But this one was like her mother. More complex.
"I think I've found an heiress to Hell," he said quietly, not wanting to wake her. Chloe rolled her eyes, and he knew she thought he was joking. But he was serious. This child was indeed growing on him, and that scared him.
