Breathe Easy
Harry tapped his foot nervously on the grass, straightening his dress robes awkwardly. Terror like he'd never known it filled him. Where was a Dark Lord to fight when you needed one? He'd rather do that than continue to wait impatiently as he was. Ron stood beside him, chuckling at his best friend.
"She'll be here, Harry. You know she's been waiting for this moment for years."
Harry rolled his eyes. "I know she'll be here. I'm not worried."
Ron scoffed. "Riiight. If you pace any harder there will be no grass left when you're done."
"What time is it?"
"Two minutes after the last time you asked me."
"Ron."
"Harry."
"I... She'll be here. She has to be."
"She'll be here, Mate. Don't sweat -"
Before Ron could finish his sentence, the music signalling Ginny's arrival sounded around them. Harry stood up straight, his eyes resting on the very end of the aisle. As soon as his bride came into view, the world righted itself around him.
He could finally breathe easy again.
She was here.
She was agreeing to be his.
His wife.
