Time jump: New York
"You know becoming mass fugitives, doing a good, by hunting down my brother and 'cipher' does have it's perks." I mumbled. "Wouldn't you say so Rome?" We were currently all piled up into a small delivery truck. For fish. Of all the things, it had to be fish. Deck and I were standing as close to the door as we could. The smell was horrible and I was sure going to catch something being in here.
"No, this is some bull shit!" Roman growled, shoving one of the boxes away from him. Only to spill fish onto the ground.
"Nice going big mouth!" Deck snapped, kicking one of the fishes away from us.
"It was an accident." Roman scoffed. "And why are we traveling like this again?"
"Because Dom took god's eye." Tej replied.
"So we need to stay off the grid." Ramsey added.
"But like this!" Roman shouted.
I winced at the echo his loud ass caused inside the truck. "Dude, keep it down!" Luckily the truck had began to back up somewhere. We all arrived at a fish market. Ugh I really hated the smell of fish. As we walked through the market, we were lead into the back. I was so close to throwing up my lunch.
"Look here man, before I throw up in my mouth, let me ask you. What are we doing here?" Roman gagged.
"That is a good question roman." Little nobody gave him a small smirk. "Let me show you." We stood before two large metal doors. As they opened we were prized with an amazing view. Cars upon cars, from the most exotic to the rarest of them all. "Welcome to out new base of operations."
"No, seriously. What is this place?" Letty asked, a small twinkle of light in her eyes.
Tej chuckled. "This is heaven."
"It's the agency garage." Hobbs said. "They call it the Toy Shop."
Little nobody gestured us to follow. "This is where we house every vehicle seized from drug dealers on the East Coast. Now, Mr. Nobody said that us we're gonna have a chance at catching Dom, we're gonna have to be damn fast. Figured this would help."
Giving deck's hand a small squeeze, I trailed deeper into the garage. Not knowing what I was actually looking for, I couldn't help, but grin at the bikes lined up in front of me. "Damn, what I could do with all of you."
"Sadly those are no use for us right now."
"A girl can dream." Straddling one of the bikes, I glanced at deck. "Pick a car yet?"
"Yes, wanna come and help?"
Giving him a small nod, I couldn't help, but get this bad feeling. "I can't seem to shake this feeling I have."
Deck moved forward, grabbing the handles of the bike, he leaned in closer to me. "Everything will be fine. We are going to get your brother and go home. I promise."
"You can't promise something like that Deck."
"Yes I can." Leaning forwards he gave me a small kiss. "I can and I will."
"I keep asking myself over and over why Dom would do this. Why betray Letty's love? Why risk his family's life? What does she have against him?" Climbing off the bike, I walked straight into his arms. "I just want to be back in London with you and Aaron."
Deckard wrapped his arms around me, hugging me close. "We will, real soon. But I need something from you."
"Hmm?"
"What ever happens, promise me you will see this to the end."
Looking up at him, I frowned. "What?"
Deckard moved his hands to my face and cupped my jaw. "Should anything happened to me, I need you to keep going and finish this."
"Dec-"
"Eli, please."
This was deja-vu to our last day in London. Same tone of voice. Same look in his eyes. My gut feeling just got a whole lot worse. "Promise."
"Good." Pulling me into a mind blowing kiss, he chuckled softly. "You are riding with me, come on."
We all took to fixing up the cars as we wanted and needed for this trap. Roman and Ramsey focused on the scanners, looking to get any hint of where Dom could be. Letty although working on her car, she couldn't keep her focus off the scanners. Honestly if this hit anyone, it was her. I sat on a rolling chair, watching Deck work on the car. Seriously the simplest things he did were a huge turn on. Hobbs walked over to us, holding some papers in his hand.
"Captain Deckard Shaw…" Hobbs read out. Deck paused for a moment, surprise flashed across his face. "Distinguished himself by acts of gallantry at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. His bold actions saved the lives of hostages and his teammates. Recommendation Victoria Cross." My eyes fell on Deck, surprised to hear these words. It was the first I have ever heard of them. "Highest honor the British government has ever given…to a traitor."
"Back off Hobbs." I growled.
Hobbs gave me a look ready to say something, but turned back towards Deck. "Something about this whole thing that just doesn't add up to me."
"Well, that would be the same kind of funny math, that says a DSS agent who has a Silver Star for valor stole an EMP. Sound familiar, huh?" Deck scoffed, returning to work on the car.
Hobbs quirked a brow, moving towards the launcher. "You want to give me a hand?" Deck tossed the towel and reached for the piece. "On three….one…two…three!"
"You know what twinkle toe. In another life, I bet me and you could've done some serious damage." Deck said.
"Yeah, we could've." Hobbs said.
"Shame I'm gonna have to bounce your head off the fender when this is all over." Deck teased, as he began to lift the launcher into the car.
Hobbs reacted carelessly to his threat. "Ah, well, with all due respect, captain, when this whole thing is over, we're gonna find a location, and I'm gonna knock your teeth so far down your throat, you're gonna stick a toothbrush right up your ass to brush them."
I got a little tense at the piss off they were having, only to roll my eyes as they ended up laughing. "You two are idiots."
Hobbs chuckled. "Now that you are speaking to me, I do want to apologize."
I stood, crossing my arms across my chest. "You think an apology is going to fix this?"
"Eli, it was better this way. Besides he is here now, regardless of my dislike towards it." Hobbs said.
"You are going to need a lot more than words to make me forgive you." I was going to milk this as much as I could. "But it is a start."
"Alright, I can live with that."
Suddenly Deck's phone began to go off. "It's my mother." Answering it, he walked away from us. "Hello, mother."
"He has a mother?" Hobbs whispered.
I chuckled. "It appears so."
"Have you met her?" Hobbs asked.
"No." Come to think of it, I haven't met anyone, but Owen. Deck never really talked about his family. Seeing him pace from side to side and what looked like arguing, I shivered. "And I think I rather not meet her."
Hobbs laughed, giving me a small pat on the back. "If her son is a pain in the ass, I can just imagine the mother."
Trying to hide my laugh, I took to check on the others. Still no sign of Dom anywhere. I was starting to think we got the wrong city.
"Eli." Deck called.
"Yeah?"
"Let's get you a car set up." Deck said.
"What?"
"We are going to need every hand on deck for this." Deckard said. He was tensed, a somewhat regretfull look on him. "Best you pick a car."
"In that case why not a bike?" I had a few ideas that could work with the plan we had. I knew my brother. And Dom will never come quietly.
Deck frowned, thinking it over, before giving me a stiff nod. "Alright, you need any help with it?"
"No, I got it." Giving him a quick kiss, I took off to get the bike. As I got closer to the bike, an almost jokerly smile appeared on my face. "Hello beautiful." I ran my hand over the Kawasaki Ninja H2R.
The bike was midnight black, with body frame a neon green, along with green trims. This bike already generated 300 horsepowers from its supercharged engine. Give it a little more love and I would soon be flying. Now I will not be able to do what the others did with the cars, but I had my own thing. Once the bike was ready, I started to gear up. Little nobody had shown me the tactical gears. I swear my eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store. I grabbed the full armor body suit. My jersey was ballistic proof, full torso and elbow protection. Hard plastic chest, back, arm and shoulder protection. Frontal impact absorption. Full articulating spine protection, which moved with my movements. Thank god for that, I seriously hated feeling constricted. Walking towards the cage section of the garage, I grabbed two weapons. A beretta and 1911, by the time I was finished and ready, Little nobody ordered us to load up. Seeing Deckard walk to his car, I jumped onto my bike and sped out. I rode on the side of Letty's car, mentally preparing myself for what was about to happen.
