Hey guys, it's been awhile. How have you all been?
First off, I would like to apologize for the unexpected hiatus (what, two and a half years?). It was never my intention to go on a hiatus, but it sadly still ended up happening. I started to have less and less time to write and I grew out of practice. It doesn't help that I at the time I was starting to fall out of the Tokyo Ghoul fandom, so I just ultimately decided that I needed to take a break.
Good news however guys! While I now have even less time to write, I have more inspiration now and better time management. Meaning, I'm planning on coming off my hiatus! Kind of. Rather than continuing from where the previous chapter left off, I plan on rewriting the current chapters and continuing from where I left off. Centipedes in My Ears was written when I was younger, and as such I find my writing and descriptions to be very hard to read (god what was I thinking writing some of those parts). My writing has since improved and I would like this story to reflect that. I'll also have a lot of time to work on writing new bits will all the upcoming traveling I'll be doing (I have a trip to Canada in February, another in March, and I'll be going to Thailand towards the end of August).
So while I can't promise any new updates soon, I will be working on rewriting what I currently have and reposting those when they are finished, along with working on the new chapters. Thank you to all of my original readers who stuck with me, and thank you to all of the new readers who kept leaving comments telling me to update. It really meant a lot to see people still like the shitty fic I made because I found out I was really gay and I wanted to see more gay shit happen in TG.
Love you all,
Imtrashhowboutyou
(Side note, I went to Japan in 2017. It was fucking lit, holy shit. It also just so happened that the TG live action dropped about a week into my stay. Since we went within the opening week, they were handing out little gifts at the theater we went to. I opened it on the train home and it was a signed picture of Hide! My host sister got Amon. Oh my god I fucking loved that movie. I feel a little bad though because I drug my host sister to the theater to watch it with me and I cackled every time she flinched from a gory bit. But anyways it was fucking great. It cracked us up when we got home because we turned on the tv while we were waiting for dinner, and it opened to a drama that had Kubota Masataka as the lead, who played Kaneki.)
