Amelia sighed, stretching her back out when she heard the voice on the other side of the line, "Ames how you been doin'?"
"Workin', watching the kids," smiling when Roxie trotted over to her and nuzzled her wet nose against bare skin. "You doing okay?"
"Same old same old. Its overcrowded over here, so I might be able to swing getting out early."
"Well you always have a room here," she stated, petting Roxie absent mindedly, "I'm sure X would be ecstatic to finally have you around."
"He sick of being the only boy in a hen house?" she could hear the smirk on the man's face.
"Har har. But no seriously maybe you can actually get through to him, boy walks around like he's got all the swagger in the world, dad being here helps, but I don't think he knows what to do."
"I highly doubt that, he was able to flay me good whenever I got to stupid."
"Right because your such a model citizen," she snarked.
"Your such a bitch," the man spoke with a little heat.
"No I get it, its just dad went in just before puberty hit, and I was the only one left to help, which did not help because he went looking for role models."
"You got a reason, bringing all this up now?"
Running a hand through her brown locks, "I caught him with a girl in his room, yesterday, and they had been toking it up."
"My boy," laughing at the distress in Amelia's voice.
"Zachary! It ain't funny, he's fourteen."
"So? Just because you're a virgin," at Amelia's silence, "you're a virgin still right?" a harsh growl in his tone, "you better be. Answer me dammit!"
"I don't need to tell you my sex life."
"Amelia Josephina!"
"Fine I am, happy!"
"Ecstatic. But I lost it at the same age, it's a right of passage for a man." Ignoring Amelia's grumbles of double standards and idiotic ideologies, "Xavier is fine, if dad isn't going after him, you shouldn't worry. I got to get off now. Love you."
"Love you too, let me know if you can come back early."
Happy was just walking passed the kitchen, when he saw the mess, "what is this fuckin shit?"
"I'm making dinner."
"With every damn thing out?"
Stirring the pot of thick soup, "Not everything is out."
Looking around at the pots and pans, along with a cutlery and food covering almost every surface, "looks like it to me, kid."
"I'll clean up when I'm done," seeing Happy's frustrated face, when she looked up. Happy hated messy, Amelia was the same way unless she was in the middle of a project and it was in her control.
Happy nodded, before heading towards the stairs, the dogs following him as he passes the living room where they had all puppy piled onto each other.
He rubbed his head when he saw Xavier pull up short at his door when Happy passed it for his own room. "Hey dad," fixing his hat over his head so it was slightly off to the side, "can I go out with a few friends?"
"Yeah, be back by curfew."
Saying a quick "thanks," before scurrying off down the hall, the chain that connected his wallet to his belt loop swishing as he moved.
Bella scrunched up her nose when Happy added a few pieces of broccoli to her plate, Amelia placing a beer bottle in front of Happy and a glass of milk in front of the six year old before taking her own seat with a glass of water. "Oh, I forgot to tell you!" Happy looked over at his oldest daughter at that, eyebrow raised in question. "Zach called earlier, he might be able to come home soon."
Happy nodded, taking a sip of his beer, before looking over at Bella who had a happy smile on her face, as she excitedly babbled about everything she was going to show him.
Bella had gone to bed a half hour prior, before Amelia was coming down the stairs in her bar uniform that Happy grunted at from his spot on the couch. "Kozik said you met some of the Sons last night."
"Yeah?" slipping on her shoes as she leaned against the couch.
"I don't want you hanging out with them."
"How did me meeting turn into being friends with them?"
"Said Juice spent the night flirting with you, I don't like that."
"You don't like a lot of things."
Happy turned dark eyes towards her at that, "don't be fuckin smart with me. Stay away from them."
"Yeah, sure. Whatever."
"Not whatever," he hated when his kids said that word.
"Okay, I'll stay away," grabbing her keys, "I got to go, bye."
"Bye. Stay safe."
