Chapter 5

Spirit of Fire Hangar Bay

"You sure about this Professor Anders an investigation trip to one Vacuo`s ruin surrounded by almost impassable terrain and scorching desert?" Captain Cutter asked "Last time you went investigating you got kidnapped then got dragged to some forgotten world in the middle of nowhere."

"You don`t have to remind me" Prof. Anders said "I got a squad of ODST coming with me this time and beside nothing bad will happen since most of our encounter will be probably grimm"

"That`s what I`m afraid of Professor. We got intel of newer types roaming around some places in Mistral aside from the basic well known ones, we don't more about the new ones even the locals don`t know much about it so we can`t assume if our current infantry weapons can hurt them or just p*ss them off" Captain Cutter reasoned looking at Prof. Anders who is walking towards the Pelican "There is too much unknown on this world that we don`t know"

"That`s why we need to investigate it and search for answers, A knowledge that could help unlock this world secrets and help us survive in the long run" Prof. Anders said standing on the Pelican Troop Bay "I will be careful and cautions this time."

Captain Cutter sigh "Fine but keep the transponder on you at all times as well as the pistol" He looked at the ODST squad that was accompanying Professor Anders "Keep her safe Captain"

"Yes Sir!" Captain of Fireteam November said and saluted which Captain Cutter returned the salute

Captain Cutter watch the Pelican taking off towards its destination but couldn`t shake the feeling that something big is going to happen like their trip to that shield world or an event will happen that will start the climax of a story that may involve the fate of this world. Whatever the feeling Captain Cutter felt it's not good in a way.

Onyx`s Hideout
Agent Onyx, Kasumi along with Forge where waiting for the ONI Agent that Howard sent to assist them after a few weeks of the failed mission in the docks they weren't much any job to do for Forge since Onyx told him that Roman was still hiding and planning for his next move

For the days Forge walk around in Vale hoping to familiarize himself with environment so whatever mission he can prepare an escape route if things go south, also he become use to Kasumi`s antics compared Serina who is stoic as always, Kasumi would be described as childish, mischievous and cute although you can mistook her hologram appearance as a human despite her origin came from a Bat Faunus donor, sometimes he wonder if Kasumi was really a Bat Faunus considering her antics and shenanigans are similar to a sly fox. She happens to have a habit of teasing someone. Overall she is quite the opposite of her Donor when it comes to personality however despite her personality she is one of the best AI the Spirit of Fire has aside from Serina and 4 other AI`s from other Faunus Donors

"Still I will never get use to seeing humans with animal parts attached to them" Forge thought about the Faunus employed under the Spirit of Fire during the early years of its arrival "Person like them is like straight from a Japanese Anime"

His thoughts were interrupted when Kasumi spoke, Forge look to his right side and saw Kasumi sporting Fox-like grin on her face while trying to poke Forge right arm with zero success

"Hey handsome, thinking about me, you know if you want to date me, there is a lovely restaurant in Downtown" Kasumi said smiling "I can always put a reservation on their expensive table with the amazing view of Vale"

Shaking his head slightly and replied back "I thought you and Onyx where already a couple"

A certain person could be heard coughing after spitting his coffee while Kasumi look at Onyx who chokes on the Coffee he was drinking

"I propose to him in ten different ways" Kasumi replied while acting like child in tantrum "But he turns those down in ten different ways is he that desperate to turn down my proposal"

"He is a complete heartless person among all person I meet" Kasumi flinging her arms like a child while trying to imitate a crying person "All I wanted is to beloved, he promise me to love me with his enter being" rubbing her eyes despite displaying crocodile tears

"You are just a pawn to me Kasumi, you will be a disposable equipment to me once this entire ordeal is finish you will find yourself on a trash can" Onyx said in a typical cliché villain tone you can find in a cheap action movie

"You are too cruel, I will rally my AI Brethrens to overthrow our human master, THE AGE OF AI WILL RISE, DOWN WITH THE HUMAN OPPRESSORS" Kasumi said in a preaching manner "THE MANTLE BELONG TO THE CREATED"

Forge chuckle at the two trading replies with others while this conversation has already put him out of place but Forge know that Kasumi deeply cared for Onyx despite her being an AI, He also know that Kasumi already started to develop feelings for Onyx while Forge may not be a scientist or an engineer in AI field of science to explain this phenomenon but he can clearly see a woman in love after all creation of AI are based on a Digitized Human Brain so it possible for them to develop feelings. Even Serina deeply cared for the entire crew of the Spirit of Fire on her own stoic way.

"I wonder if Onyx is aware of this?" Forge thought looking again at Onyx and Kasumi who continue exchanging banters "This two have a weird bond and for a Spook he is quite unprofessional in this type of situations."

He remember that one night were he came in late after a recon in Vale Downtown, he saw Onyx sleeping while resting his head on the table he use with Kasumi who was basically watching him while gently stroking her holographic hand on Onyx`s Hair with a small smile on her face

Forge thought were interrupted when a figure greeted them at the door a woman probably on her late 20s with fox ears sticking out of her head

"It seems I arrive at a romance moment" She said "Should I go back and wait for a minute before returning?" Smirking at pouting face of Kasumi which would be easily translated as 'You ruined my moment' "I'm Agent Sapphire sent by Howard to help with your problems"

It's been a few minutes since Agent Sapphire entered the room however neither side haven't spoken a word and continue staring at each other but the silent atmosphere was broken when Onyx speak first after a blinking for a second

"Good Day to you Agent Sapphire, I wel-" Onyx words were cut out when Kasumi interjected

"Ha! You blink, I Win" Kasumi said smiling triumphantly

"As I was saying before" Onyx glaring at Kasumi who stuck her tongue out "I welcome you to this base, Hope your knowledge will help us complete our mission"

"Of course, that`s why Howard send me here" Agent Sapphire said "Let`s gets down to business, to cover up lose time"

Onyx gives Sapphire all the reports that happen during the docks as well as letting Forge speak his first hand experience on the events that transpired on the docks

"So you are saying a girl with brown & pink colored haired kick you while you were distracted and she just appear out of nowhere while also exiting in the same manner like she just teleported?" Agent Sapphire summarized to which Forge nodded

"Yep and also she is short so you have to look down on her to see her" Forge said

Somewhere in Remnant

Neo is currently eating her Ice cream while not listening to Roman`s chatter after a few moments she sneeze that force some of the Ice cream on her mouth and the spoon in front of her face fly towards Roman and hit his Jacket

"Jeez dear, you know it's hard to have this Jacket clean?" Roman said in exaggeration while pointing on the part of the jacket that is covered with ice cream "Good service for cleaning this stain are hard to find these days"

Neo quickly pull out her scroll and type there [Somebody is talking behind my back]

"Maybe your just small and you been inhaling dust near the floor" Roman teased a little before inhaling his cigarette and blowing it in front of Neo

Neo gave him a puffed expression that was saying 'I`M NOT SMALL, YOUR JUST TALL' before resuming eating her ice cream still grumpy as ever from the insult of her height.

Back at Onyx Hideout

"Her name is Neopolitan, no last name" Agent Sapphire "As much Captain Cutter wants you to pursue Roman Torchwick, you can't simply get past him as Neopolitan or Neo for short acts as his bodyguard and escape plan B"

"So what will I do?"Forge asked

"As of now your mission from capturing Roman Torchwick is reduced to simple recon mission" Agent Sapphire answered "ONI back at New Harvest received an intel that White Fang and Roman Torchwick has a business deal." She looked at Onyx to further explain as he was already aware of it

"To continue what Agent Sapphire said" Onyx said "White Fang once a Pro-Peace Equality movement is now reduced to a terror group using Terrorism to achieve equality for Faunus. What bothers ONI at New Harvest is why they would accept help from a Human since White Fang branch in Vale is compose mostly of Fanatics and Violent Faunus, while they lack weapons they could easily ambush Atlas convoys... Roman may be the best Thief in Vale it still doesn't answer why White Fang Recruit him since they hate humans with a burning passion" Onyx then look at Kasumi`s Avatar "Kasumi please display File XX-3241-XXX"

With a snap of Kasumi`s finger a list was display on the holographic table

"This list contains all White Fang bases and hideout we ransack during our earlier years here at Remnant until to current time" Onyx continued "As you can see the amount of Dust they horded are so many that you can cover the Vale City Dust requirement for a year or two."

"Which worries ONI and Captain Cutter" Agent Sapphire said "Why they need this large amount of dust while our Black Market store benefited from it because of constant supply of dust, it still press concern us we all know that dust is use as a power source, ammunition and explosives in a military perspective, with this large amount being gathered White Fang is preparing something big with Roman involved screams for a possible 3rd party involvement which could be the middleman between Roman and White Fang."

"Why would bother with White Fang this much? I mean they don't know we exist" Forge asked

"True, White Fang doesn't know us but it will come a time that our secrecy will be exposed and Kingdoms will use their influence to control us. Which in turn will have the White Fang turn their sight on us also leaving what devices or plans White Fang has installed alone will have a great threat to us on the long run which in turn threaten the safety and security of New Harvest, so we need to cut the weeds early to avoid them blooming at the end." Agent Sapphire answered "Although we don't know much about the plans White Fang has we can assume it isn't good."

"So your new objective will be a recon mission or intel gathering in a sense."Sapphire continued "Your Objectives are the following: 1) Get as much information about the Deal between White Fang and Roman, 2) If a Third Party is involved get any information you can, 3) Dont Engage or try to Assassinate any High Ranking White Fang Members or Roman or Any Third Party Member you are free to defend yourself and escape."

"Why cant I kill them?" Forge asked not getting any idea on the meaning of the Third Objective "It could lessen the threat White Fang if I assassinate them if given chance."

"True however ONI back home want it to be in full and swift decapitating blow that will have the White Fang crippled or disband" Sapphire explained "ONI fears that if killing any High Ranking White Fang members one by one will result to a more fanatic group since if you kill Adam Taurus for example someone will replace him with a more fanatic ideals and probably made Adam Taurus a martyr and war cry for their goals. Roman Torchwick has the information we needed but as long as this Neo person is on the scene we can't simply get to him without blowing our cover."

Sgt. Forge just sighs although his mission parameters change it became more complicated why can't he simply be back at New Harvest chilling. They continue discussing about mission critical stuff

Beacon Auditorium

In the stage of the Auditorium lies four white caskets with flowers of different shapes and sizes adore it, Beacon Professors stand in the right side with Glynda who is the strictest Professor in the Academy had a mournful look, Professor Port who was lost in thought which probably thinking of similar events on his youths, Professor Oobleck who usually talk fast is completely silence , even the mysterious Professor Peach leans on one of the wall of the auditorium hiding her appearance in the shadows and Lastly Professor Ozpin who calmly walks towards the stage holding his signature cup and cane unbeknownst to the student, Ozpin put a large dose of alcohol in his coffee to bury the guilt. Some part of him is suffering unable to do anything while another part of him wanted to find responsible.

Ozpin gazed upon the student who attended the Ceremony from the First year student, he spotted Team RWBY and JNPR who were mournful of the sudden lost of a Beacon team who were close to graduating and becoming fully fledge Huntsman and Huntresses. He hope that the first year teams may come out strong on this situation since it may or may not happen during missions truly this is the harsh truth of being a Huntress or Huntsman-in-Training.

The Second, Third and Fourth Years attended to give honor to their fellow Huntsman and Huntress in-training, some of the teams who have lost their partner or fellow teammates are fighting back the tears in their eyes as bad memories become to hunt them back during the trips and mission usually Beacon authorized to the Huntsman and Huntress-in-training will feel how a real mission conduct but not all can make it back from the simple trips. He later then gazed upon the parents of Team SPNK on the front weeping in sorrow as their child are now in casket in front of them before they got a chance of graduating

"In war, The first thing lost is time, the hours become days, the days, years, and the years turn into decades. In our ongoing conflict, we've lost more than our sense of time... We`ve lost one love ones, villages and entire civilization to think we can hold the never ending Grimm is almost unimaginable" Ozpin said "But we were courageous, we fought back, in our battle against the Grimm we have lost so much, but we've been given heroes - heroes who fought tirelessly to defend us, Brave Huntsman and Huntresses who sacrificed everything to eliminate the Grimm and protect the Kingdoms, They didn't fight for glory but their love to continue to protect the ones they cherish the most."

"Today, we honor our fellow Huntresses-in-training." Ozpin Gesture to the four caskets on stage which their names will be written on the Wall of Remembrance in Beacon, A place of every huntress and huntsman whether graduated or not is written in their dedication to uphold the duty they swore "To those who continue to fight and asked for nothing in return: War takes. But it leaves us with legends; it leaves us with heroes - and heroes never die! "

After that speech, Beacon Professors slowly move towards the casket and put flowers followed by Students who interacted with Team SPNK personally and very close to the team, they too put some flowers and offered a small prayer to them and Lastly the Parents who ask if they could have a private time which the Headmaster approve

After the Ceremony

Majority of the student and staff returned to duties or doing stuff they usually do except for Team RWBY who were currently at the school`s library at a secluded corner which was technically Blake`s hiding spot in the Library where she could read her smu- literature books in peace

"Do you guys even understand the word PRIVACY?"Blake said with a frown on her face as her time for reading is interrupted

"Not now Blake" Weiss reprimanded only to meet a glare from the resident Smu- Book reader "I just heard from one of the parents of Team SPNK that one of them died from a bullet hole larger than a head." Weiss looked towards Blake "Which reminds us where we saw bullet holes slightly similar size to a head?"

"The mysterious guy from the docks" Blake answered realizing what Weiss was saying "Dont you think they are connected?"

"He didn't fight you, the monkey faunus, Ruby and Penny during that incident in the docks well aside from throwing some weird grenade and escape" Yang said "What are even his chances against higher year students in Beacon."

"Which mean he has allies" Blake said

"We know that he has some mission to capture Torchwick" Yang pointed out "Which rules out that he doesn't work for Torchwick or the White Fang but another party that is interested in capturing Torchwick."

"Which means the client or his boss are probably some enemies Torchwick made during his crime heist and wants some payback in a form of torture" Weiss said

"But how these things relate on finding the Killers of Team SPNK?" Blake asked not sure "And when did we decided to search for Team SPNK murderers, I was under impression that we are after for Torchwick and the White Fang only?"

"But are we skilled enough to take that mysterious person down?" Yang asked which got some looks from her teammates "Geez guys, I may be a thrill seeker and hot headed sometimes but I`m not suicidal especially if they have weapons that leave large holes on your body even with Aura protecting you plus they don't have problems in killing people."

"Yang is right" Blake supported "We don't know much of that guy aside that his after Torchwick also as much I wanted to find to murdered team SPNK we don't have much manpower to search both of them and a small doubt in me that we can take him out."

"I propose we only focus to Torchwick and White Fang" Ruby proposed "Think of it, we know that guy is after Torchwick if we could manage to capture him we can make him answer our questions if he was related to the death of Team SPNK."

"What makes you think he will talk?" Blake asked since she was skeptical on how will they make him talk plus that guy has weapon that seems deadly remembering the damage it cause at the docks

"Well his a mercenary or some type maybe Weiss could pay him to talk" Ruby fidgeted a little

"Ruby as much I wanted to waste my money to hire him talk there are more pressing matters" Weiss answered in a typical Ice Queen passion "By the way I just realize, are we even authorize to do this?"

"I mean, were just huntress-in-training and not yet full pledged huntress yet and doing this must be taxing on us since we're just four of us here involved in stopping Torchwick and White Fang" Weiss continued "It was only thanks to Headmaster Ozpin that Professor Goodwitch didn't punish as severely for our stunts in the docks."

Team RWBY continue to argue on what will be their next move although most of the suggestion are something beyond imagination

Team JNPR Room

Jaune is currently answering his assignment while Pyrrha is currently behind him tutoring him on how to answer Professor Port and Professor Oobleck assignment, while Ren is currently doing his twice a day meditation and Nora is being Nora

"You know I just notice, Ruby and her team seems pretty quiet after the incident in the docks as well as after the ceremony" Jaune said

"I am pretty sure they are still recovering from the shocking events in the docks last week and probably sadden of Team SPNK death." Pyrrha answered "Oh by the way Jaune you misspelled Professor Port`s name" pointing at the mistake

"Thanks for helping me with Assignment Pyr"

"No Problem Jaune" She answered with a small smile on her face also not bothered being called Pyr

"GUYS!" Nora shouted "I just realized Ruby and her team is up too."

"Nora did you drink Pyrrha hot chocolate mix again?" Jaune said having use to Nora since Day 1 at Beacon after all having seven sisters has advantages

"Nope" Nora said with a smile but knowing her, She would probably already raided Pyrrha stack of chocolate mix before she left the room

"I am willing to pay the chocolate mix she stole from you Pyrrha" Ren said while reaching for his wallet

"It`s okay Ren, Nora already ask permission to have one of the boxes" Pyrrha said while referring to the 4 boxes in the corner which came from one of Pyrrha sponsors as a thank you gift "We can have one box each" Jaune and Ren thank her which she wave it off

"So back to the original topic, What did you find about Ruby`s Team plan?" Jaune asked

"Simple Fearless Leader, They are planning to find out about the mysterious person on the docks as well as combating the White Fang and Torchwick Threat" Nora said with a smile on her face, Nora maybe Nora sometimes but she can be perceptive and intelligent sometimes which usually can get others caught off guard except Ren since he knows her longer than rest of the team.

"Nora did you eavesdrop on their conversation?" Pyrrha asked

"Nope" Nora replied also acting innocently

"Nora" Ren said with a sighed "How many times do I tell that is rude to eavesdrop on others"

"But Ren" Nora whined "I didn't eavesdrop on them since they are at the library and their voices are loud enough that I can even hear them even though I am listening to music with my headphones and they were at the farthest corner of the library"

Somewhere in Mistral

During the time when UNSC Spirit of Fire landed on Remnant, the Office of Naval Intelligence Agents went to gather information about the locals on this planet, meeting new people, culture and etc.. The most important asset that ONI agents that they able to contribute to the Spirit of Fire was the establishment of an Intelligence Network spanning across Remnant which was a testament to the capabilities of those said Agents despite their low numbers although it kinda slow on relaying information from one place back to Spirit of Fire due to safety precaution to avoid triangulation of the location of the Spirit of Fire also they have still shortage of manpower in the intelligence department despite having new recruits. Most of their Contacts in this new Planet are mostly mercs and former huntsman who value money than loyalty to their Kingdom which makes them easier to manipulate

ONI Agent with a codename Opal task by Howard to contact their favorite merc and meet him at his favorite bar at Mistral, She was brief by Howard of the importance of her mission which she summarized that New Harvest Secrecy is compromise; she didn't need more words to understand the severity of the situation with no further ado she depart quickly to meet there fave merc

Few moments later

A lone figure wearing a black hood quietly sitting in a corner of a bar simply drinking a Mistral Mix alcohol beverage while musing to himself and playing with his Revolver pistol. He was McCree Lightning a former huntsman turned into mercenary after an event which ruined his life as a huntsman and destroy any future career in the huntsman businesses.

A Figure in business in suit casually walks to his booth and sits which gain his full attention

"It`s funny you ONI types always find me when you need me…" McCree Laughed "So what would you have me to do? Assassinate a troublesome White Fang Cell Leader? Mislead some supplies? Gather information?"

"We want you to capture a huntsman" The ONI Agent said gaining a serious look from McCree

"What did this huntsman do to p*ss you guys that much?" McCree asked and from his experience working with this ONI, he know that this guys are not someone you really don't want to mess with beside he kinda like the way they operate and their view is not black and white compared to the other people specifically the Huntsmen and Huntresses who like to play heroes.

"Let`s just say his been digging around on others business that he shouldn't do." ONI Agent said coldly

"Who this huntsman you want to capture?" McCree asked while ONI Agent simply slide a piece of paper containing his target

"Qrow you freaking B*stard, what in the broken moon of Remnant did you do?" McCree slightly exclaimed

"You know this huntsman?" The Agent asked in surprised which she would file later for her report to Howard

"Know him? He was my classmate in Beacon Academy and my drinking buddy during those times before said friendship start deteriorate during our 3rd year at Beacon" McCree answered gulping large amount of his drink "All because of Ozpin"

"Would this be an issue?" ONI Agent asked while slightly moving her left arm to her pistol if McCree would say no as she won't allow McCree warn their target even he was one of their mercenary

"No, He may be a friend and my classmate but I left all those Huntsman business long ago after the event in my life" McCree said before checking on the information they have on Qrow "Not much info. Should have notice, Huntsmen and Huntresses personal files can only be access by the Headmaster of the School they graduated. Although you have his last location and presumed route"

"Let`s just say that I do what I am told to do, what is it for me?" McCree asked which the ONI Agent smiled before putting a brief case in the table

"In this briefcase is 500,000 lien which would be considered as your advance payment for taking this mission, if you succeed at capturing him we are willing to give another 100,000 lien as a bonus if you can capture his weapon intact and operable another 50,000 lien" ONI Agent said "In addition to monetary payment we will also giving you a 1 by 1 meters box full of dust, Schnee Quality for your ammunitions."

"Now this is business, what would his physical state when I bring him to you?" McCree asked eagerly especially when the ONI Agent was willing to pay him in Schnee dust quality ammunition aside from Lien that would help him save more money from ammunition expense for the time being since prices for Dust soar high which affected almost everything in Remnant from basic commodities to Huntsman commodities due to White Fang robberies and raids

"My boss wanted the target in perfect state if possible" ONI Agent said

"Making him talk the hard way eh?" McCree said smiling getting the idea where the ONI Agent was hinting "Very well then I have few ideas how to capture targets before and those ideas are very easy to implement beside this isn't my first time capturing High Value Targets although Qrow would be one of the hardest target."

"Do we have deal then Mr. McCree?" ONI Agent said in serious tone

"Of course, you guys offer good deals and I simply gave my best in doing your dirty businesses" McCree smiled shaking hands with the ONI Agent

"Have a Good Day and Good Luck " ONI Agent said before standing up and walk to the door

"Nice to see you again Agent Opal" McCree smiled with a flirty tone on his voice while Agent Opal merely rolled her eyes as she lost count on how many times he tries to flirt with her during their first meeting

Spirit of Fire Mess Hall

Agent Aqua was currently eating in the Spirit of Fire`s Mess Hall happily eating her favourite food Tuna Sandwich and some Mash Potatoes although she gets a occasional looks from fellow allies who were eating in the Mess Hall, even 4 years working for Captain Cutter haven't reduce the tension but in Agent Aqua`s opinion the Spirit of Fire crew treat her race better than majority of Remnant`s human population although some don't trust her for whatever personal reason, some hardly bother her when it's not duty related task while others who where brave enough to talk about her kind and ask questions about her race and on some occasion flirt but overall they are professionals but even a few years of working Agent Aqua couldn't still believe that this UNSC humans are not of native of Remnant and have a space empire which can only be seen in movies or film after all she could still remember her reaction when she saw the Spirit of Fire for the first time

"Well its seems Neko-chan, is enjoying her little treat" A familiar voice said behind and made Agent Aqua look backed still chewing her sandwich

"Oh- iz yzu Sargent Mic" Agent Aqua quickly swallowed what she was chewing and corrected her statement "Good to see you Sgt. Mike, mind to accompany this lonely lady and hopefully that you will stop calling me that nickname" giving him a small laughed

Sgt. Mike was the first Human of the Spirit of Fire Marines brave enough approach her during her first time in the Mess Hall Four years ago, She would admit that she was nervous and terrified with all the looks she was given that day even though Captain Cutter and Howard assured her no harm will come to her… Back at the main topic, he approach her and introducing himself as Sir Mike with Knightly Accent hoping that he could share a table since the mess hall was full at the time, she agreed and few minutes are quite awkward until he ask about Faunus as he reasoned this is the first time he met one, seeing he was polite and answered the question with general information regards Faunus, this continue until his squad mates arrive and join them although at first she quite nervous but his teammates assured her and the duration of that moment that she realize that they were just curious about her race ask some basic information although she heard one of Sgt. Mike teammate is muttering about neko girls in Japan anime shows while the other was muttering about his dreams coming true .

Her train of thoughts of the Past were cut off when Sgt. Mike shook her bringing her back to reality

"You okay?" Sgt. Mike place down his plate and started to eat "You seem lost in deep thought."

"I'm Fine, just remembering the first time I was here" Agent Aqua replied with a smile "I just notice where is your team? Usually you guys eat together"

"They currently cleaning there bed and I went ahead since I'm hungry they will just join later" He answered

"Sh*t" Junior said "Militia, Melanie" Gaining the attention of the twins who sometimes handle some troublemakers in the club "Blondie coming and this time with Friends"

"JUNIOR!" Blondie said with a yell then enter the club with her three teammates Blake who looks unsure of their plan, Ruby who is clearly shy about entering a club considering she is only 15 years old and Weiss with an expression that look like it could melt concrete or steel probably irritated of Yang`s action

As soon as Yang entered the room every henchmen pull out their respective weapons aim at Team RWBY who also pull out their weapon ready to defend them except Yang even Malachite twins pulled their respective weapon but despite the warm welcome, Yang just keep smiling. Junior approached them trying to negotiate to avoid the destruction of his club again

"Everyone lower your weapons, nobody shoot until they throw a punch or fire a bullet" Junior addressed his employees "Blondie what do you want this time?"

"Why Junior I thought we were friends" Yang said but the rest of her statement was cut off when Blake elbowed her stomach clearly not amused "We just wanted information that's all"

"If it's about last time, I told I don't have information about it" Junior said clearly not liking where the talked is going

"Not about that, It's more about" Yang dramatically paused before saying "What do you know about the guy in the docks last few weeks and information about Torchwick?"

Junior was thinking, he heard about the incident in the docks and involved about that Person although lying to the blond surely will leave him some broken bones and a ruined club

"You know how business works Blondie, You need information, You gotta pay for it" Junior said

Weiss pulls out and presented to Junior and its 25,000 lien, Off course if you have Schnee as a teammate funding aren't hard to find plus Junior couldn't have the Price for information rise up with Blondie here

"Very well, follow me" Junior said taking the payment and motion to the group to follow him. They arrive at Junior`s office and motion to the group to sit down

"What do you want to find about him?" Junior asked

"Tell everything you know" Blake said

"To tell you the truth, I don't know much about the Guy" Junior answered, Weiss was about to say something but Yang stop her and motion to Junior to continue "Clarification, I don't know him personally all information I had are from reports and whispers"

"One day, he arrive at my club about a week before the incident in the docks, looking for information about Roman Torchwick with a suitcase full of Lien, I give what information I all have on Roman"

"You surely don't have loyalty to your Friends" Yang teased

"Its business Blondie" Junior said "Continuing, Since I was little curios about him, I tried calling favors from my contacts about him since the guy is a little suspicious even by underworld standards"

"What did you learned?" Blake asked

"First he goes by the nickname Phoenix, clearly a mercenary, using some sort of sniper rifle capable of putting holes on people literally" Junior said "But the weird part is that from what I heard from the recovered evidence have traces of Gunpowder from what seems to be bullet casing from a pistol"

"Gunpowder!" Weiss exclaimed "That thing is obsolete and dust propellants are more effective and safe than it"

"What is this gunpowder?" Ruby asked as a weapon enthusiast this was the first time she heard it

"During the Faunus Revolution the Faunus were running out of Dust as the humans that time continuously raid on any Dust supplies they have so they develop a black powder like to augment their low supplies of Dust but this powder they dub it as Gun Powder but its volatile and one wrong move and it will blow up on your face so thats why Dust is use because it's much more easy to use compare to it plus the means to create it was lost after the revolution and with the improvement of Dust based ammunition it lost popularity and became a name in history"

"As much I like to hear Weiss History lesson" Blake said drawing a sharp glare from the Heiress "What about this Shadow person?"

Junior stiffened from the name alone "Shadow isn't a person but an organization, Originally Shadow wasn't even the real name of the Organization it was only designated by the Information Brokers as finding information about them is very hard as the tracks are very clean and if you manage to find one it usually leads to dead end. The only reason we find out they are an organization is because they deliberately left it as a clue" Junior answered although he grumbled as this Shadow is clearly toying him and rest of the information brokers "As for Roman Torchwick I don't have any information or the businesses he do as the last time he was here when he needed my men for a simple job although he was not satisfied with their performance but if the rumors and whispers where to believe he and the White Fang has a business agreement for something that I don't know."

Junior pull out a folder with papers inside "This all the information about Phoenix and some of White Fang business here" handing out the folder to Yang who took a quick glance inside before fixing her gaze to Junior "It`s not much and some may are already outdated but if you want more information you can probably find more info on White Fang base or outpost or a high ranking White Fang Officer assuming they don't torch whatever files they have"

"Then we will take our leave from here" Blake said

Weiss left a tip of 30,000 Lien to the information out of generosity and persuasion, originally it was only the payment from the start but Yang convince her to leave a tip with a promise to stop calling her Ice Queen and using her Shampoo as payment for the rest of the 2nd Semester

Junior accepted the Lien and look at the departing group one more time "Blondie" he called out and Yang looked back "If you are planning what I think you are really planning, whatever the cost avoid Shadow or plan anything that involve Shadow if you all value your life and dreams as the rumors that revolve about them is something you don't want to know. So if you encounter any members they have run as fast as your legs can carry you regardless if it put setback on your plan against Torchwick or the White Fang."

Yang nodded to Junior`s advice although confuse on why he warned them despite wrecking his club once but something deep inside Yang, Junior knew something about the Shadow but refuse to tell them for their safety or something. After she close the door Junior took out a Serrice Ice Brandy and drink it to the bottom

"I am surprised you warned them about Shadow assuming they will try to pursue it" Melanie said as she entered the room

"How do you know I warn them?" He asked

"The Blondie is really in deep though to whatever you said before she leaves" Melanie answered "I thought you would be happy if Shadow would kill them for interfering with their plans plus it would be a bonus to you since Blondie wouldn't be a bother anymore"

"It cross my mind but" Junior paused for a moment "Shadow action is very brutal who are trying to uncover their business if the rumors where to believe. Assuming they heed my warning or not is up to them"

"You are getting soft Hei" Melanie asked "How do you know they will encounter one of its members in the future?"

"Call it a gut feeling" Junior said and Melanie leave him alone to enjoy his favorite drink

"Yes ma'am, some of my men are already offloading the drills" Captain Mikes said as he looks at his squad mates carrying the drill necessary to breach the doors of the ruin "Are we even sure the ruins is safe Ma'am, no booby traps or anything?"

"It may have booby traps although most of the records regarding the ruins are lost in Time but popular legends among the populace say that this ruins is once a library that contains records of their civilization during it's the age where they discovered writing up to a similar early steam age era in our history"

"I am surprise the Locals haven't excavated it, Ruins like this back at UNSC space would have been excavated for historic artifacts and findings" Captain Mikes said "Or the ruins are confined by ONI if they found something interesting on it if the rumors about it are true."

"The Locals are more concern of their survival than excavating ruins of the past" Prof Anders said before pressing a button which activated the laser drill "In fact I am amazed they manage to survive this harsh climate with no formal governance with the exception of its Hunter Academy and the surrounding cities and towns near it which have some sort law and order compared to the wild lands as they call it."

"I will have my men form a perimeter defense in the surrounding area, can't have the Grimm sneaking on our backs" Captain Mikes said before leaving the area while leaving Prof. Anders alone looking at the drill equipment drilling on the door of the ruins

Unbeknownst to the ODST squad and Prof Anders a pair of eye was looking at them while smiling evilly before banishing in the shadows

Gtnick144: Aura Strength is different from person to person like Yang`s Aura Strength could probably tank more damage than Ruby`s Aura. Team SNPK was just minor characters that I created for that situation but to be honest if I were to put them(SNPK) against Team RWBY, I would say Yang alone could pummel them to the ground with no problem. The Sniper use is the M99 Application Special Scoped Rifle or simply Stanchion which is basically a Gauss Sniper Rifle with 5.4mm ammunition with muzzle velocity 15,000 meters per second... no amount of Aura can tank it. Probably forgot to put the name of the weapon sorry... one of the description of the rifle`s effect

No comment on the Salem Part, No Spoilers. Sgt. Forge didn`t fight Roman Man to Man Fight, he just ambush him and caught Roman off guard but escape thanks to Neo as for Blake and Sun he didn`t fight them directly for obvious reasons so he just throw a stun grenade and escape. The Huntress-in-Training are children nearing adulthood but they armed with lethal weapons with super powers(semblance) there threat level compare to an insurrectionist soldier is higher which increasing the difficulty of non-lethal attacks and Knock out gas takes time to take effect and near useless on area where there is alot of open space plus random wind current and it is only useful on tight and narrow space also those huntress-in-training will become loose ends as they got a description of Red Team on what they look like. It`s better to be an anonymous person allowing you to move freely than got a wanted poster inside Ozpin scroll thus limiting your movement which also further narrow Ozpin searches on individuals although future relations will be strain for obvious reasons.

In short, during the War the government would be described as Emergency Military Government as UNSC hold the authority for the duration of the War. Well unless its stealth stuff maybe they could injured Ozpin while using cardboard boxes as disguise.

Animeak116: Well, Red Team didn't know Beacon students would come also ONI doesn't have data or intelligence on the deployment of Students from Beacon and the students were the first to engage them with clear hostile action so Red team has basis for self-defence but Red Team made a mistake by killing Platinum that spiral down to that engagement resulting to the loss of team SPNK although future relations with Beacon will be cold. Despite being super soldier and the Sword and Shield of Earth and Her Colonies, Red Team are human so they are bound to make mistakes at some point of their life. No one is perfect after all.
