Hey Guys, Yuma Here, and... I wanted to apologize. I'm not sure if anyone is still watching or following this story, but for those that are still here I want to thank you profusely.
I am a horrible author who has been neglecting my stories, regardless of whether or not I'm "in the mood" should not determine whether or not I continue them.
With that out of the way. I must admit something to all of you.
This story is now, officially, Discontinued...
...
AND IT WILL BE REWRITTEN!
That's right, after all these years, I am finally rewriting this junk of a story into something worth your time. Five Nights at Freddy's was my first ever fanfic, and yes, it is Very flawed, but... I don't want to abandon it, I can't. This is something I've had rattling around in my head since the Second game came out and I am NOT forgetting it.
I understand I have no right to ask this, but I'd really appreciate it if I had feedback from all of you.
Do you want me to rewrite this story and make it even better than before?
I have always felt horrible for neglecting it like I did, but I promise, that even if it takes me a lot longer, I will finish it. One way or another.
I know FF doesn't like Author's Notes being the only thing in a chapter so... To commemorate my return to this story, I have here a preview of my new writing style alongside the rewritten Prologue (Some of it, anyway.)
Enjoy this Preview, and I hope to get feedback from all those who stayed.
Prologue
A Birthday Worth Dying For
August 10th, 1985
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza
"Mike! Wait up!" A young boy calls to his younger brother, his spiky dark blue highlighted brown hair flowing in his face as he runs up to him. He was wearing a blue jacket over a dark brown shirt and black jeans, his gray sneakers stomping against the cool sidewalk as he attempts to catch up to his brother who had ran ahead.
Mike giggles as he turns to look at his brother, his black hair dyed with a light blue flowing behind him as he calls back, "Sorry, Fredrick!" He decides to slow down a bit for him to catch up. He was at Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria with his family and friends for his birthday, it was his first visit even, so he couldn't help but be a little giddy to be here right now. Mike's choice of clothes had been a simple blue tee under a light gray jacket, with black shorts and white boots.
A young blonde girl was laughing along with Mike's energy -she couldn't help it, it was infectious!- and decided to speak up, "you two are so funny, you know?"
Fredrick turns around to give the younger girl a look, "what are you talking about Chelsea?"
Chelsea laughs again as she caught up with him. She was wearing a yellow sweater with orange cuffs around her wrists, a lavender mini-skirt with black shorts underneath and orange boots, which scuffs the ground as she walks in step next to the older kid, "I'm talking about you and your brother silly!"
"I have no idea what you're talking about." Fredrick states, looking away from the blonde to stare at the restaurant in front of them, making her giggle again.
Two other boys, one with red spiky hair and another with straight dirty blonde, were left at the parked vehicle with the two adults as another girl ran up to the three. The other girl had long curly brown hair a bit below her shoulders, she wore a dark purple jacket over a light red polo shirt, blue jeans and lavender sneakers.
It only took her a moment before she caught up with them, snickering to herself as she spoke to them, "Wow, you two sure you're not siblings?" First asking a question, to which Fredrick was going to answer, but then scowls as she follows with, "I mean, you got the arguing down! Though, you might have been a married couple in a past life for all I know."
Fredrick and Chelsea turn around to glare at their friend while Mike just laughs at his brothers expense. The other two boys came up to them and were laughing at the girl's comment, to which they couldn't help but crack a smile as they slowed at the front door.
The redhead was wearing a brown coat with a red shirt underneath it, brown shorts and gray sneakers while the blond was wearing a zipped up gold colored jacket, his black shirt visible by the cuffs on his wrists, yellow shorts and blue sneakers.
The redhead, not wanting to be left out of the conversation, gives a mock stern look as he reprimands her, "Sarah, be nice to them."
The blond boy smirks as he looks at his friend next to him, who was unaware of the quiet yet mischievous kid, "Now Hayden, you say she needs to be nice, but what about you?"
Hayden starts to laugh, but then realizes the comment was directed at him, "Yeah-Hey, Garrett!" He yells, feigning a hurt look on his face as he gives a playful glare to the other boy.
"Alright kids, come on," Mrs. Schmidt says to the group of friends, smiling kindly at all of them.
"We don't want fighting, ya hear?" Mr. Schmidt adds in, not really worrying about that since he knew they would all take good care of each other. Still, he had to be the adult. Hayden and Garret nod as they stop glaring at each other and laugh instead.
"I'm sad Jeremy and Fritz couldn't come along..." Mike whines, wishing his two semi-older brothers were with him and Fredrick right now.
"They're sick this year, but maybe next year, Mikey." Fredrick tries to reassure his brother, making it well known by now that they wouldn't miss it otherwise.
"Now, you both know the rules, correct?" Mrs. Schmidt asks her two boys, mostly just to double check since she knows they are both very responsible for their ages.
"Yes Mother." Mike and Fredrick reply to their mother, giving both of them a cheeky grin as Mike starts bouncing again, "can we go in now?" He asks excitedly, getting a fond eye-roll out of his brother in turn.
"Of course!" Mrs. Schmidt states, handing Fredrick a bag of tickets they had been saving up prior to today, "Just remember to meet us at the 'Adult area' at six. Alright?"
Chelsey jumps up in excitement as she sways her hips to the sides, "yes Mrs. Schmidt!"
"Gotcha boss," Hayden and Sarah said in unison, Garret staying silent as he nods at the parents in respect.
They all run in and head to the 'Prize Counter', Fredrick getting there first as he points at an item behind the daytime employee, "Can I have the black top hat, the matching bow tie and the bear ears headband?" He asks the man, putting the tickets on the counter.
The employee took the tickets and counts them, as the others came over. They all ask for different things. Hayden asks for the eye patch, hook, and bandanna. Sarah grabs for the bunny hood, the guitar key chain and the red bow tie, which were next to a Bonnie plush. Chelsea got the beak, and the small bib and lastly Garret asks for the golden and blue version of what Fred got.
The blond boy looks smugly at a fuming Fredrick as he groans, "Ah man, I missed that!" which makes the young child laugh at his friends misfortune.
Mike finally came over and saw what they were all wearing, and look of sadness passes through his eyes. "Who can I be? There's no one left," he says, turning his head away from the counter.
All of his friends were looking at Mike then at the counter, to which Fredrick had an idea, "I know!" He exclaims, getting everyone's attention, "you can be the security guard that protects the animatronics! That's a very important job," the brunette stresses, looking kindly at his little brother, "who better to take said job then you?"
Mike's eyes light up, a smile gracing his face as he looks at his brother, "really?"
Fredrick nods, a smile finding its way onto his face as he nods, "really."
"Great idea Fred!" Sarah praises him as Chelsea and the others were already buying the uniform, which consists of a security vest, hat and flashlight.
A moment after Mike puts it on, he twirls and tilts his cap to hide his blue tinted hair, giggling as he says, "I love it!" making the rest of the gang cheer for the 'security guard'.
Eventually, everyone laughs it off as they head towards one of the far tables, "we knew you would, it suits you Mikey."
A little later they all sat down and watch the animatronics on stage. The band, which includes Toy Freddy, Toy Chica and Toy Bonnie, were done performing and were walking about, talking to kids and their parents as they pass by.
Toy Freddy came over to Mike and his friend's table, smiling broadly as he speaks, "Well howdy kids!" his voice had a slight southern accent to it that made all the kids love him.
"Hi Toy Freddy!" all of them cheer, as Toy Chica and Toy Bonnie come over, eyeing the number of kids present and noticing there were no adults, making the two feel a little protective suddenly.
"Why hello all," Toy Chica says in her sweet voice, waving at the group as she holds up a plate of sample cupcakes, "care for a cupcake?" Most of the kids grab one to try, Fredrick having to grab one for his brother.
"Who is the lucky kid?" Toy Bonnie asks them kindly, smiling widely as Fredrick points to Mike.
"My brother is," Fredrick says to them, unable to keep the grin off of his face, "He's five years old now."
They all look at Mike, who slightly shies away from the attention as he wasn't really used to it, "that's great!" Toy Freddy says, nodding to his friends as he lowers down to be at the kids eye level, "well then, we've got something really special for you! What's your name little boy?"
"Um..." Mike hesitates a moment before responding, "My names, M-Mike."
"Well then Mike, you stay here with your friends while me and my friends go get you something, alright?" Toy Freddy asks, smiling kindly as he watches Fredrick playfully takes his brother's security cap and puts his top hat onto his little brother's head making the young lad giggle.
"We'll wait, Mr. Fazbear!" Chelsey says out to him, grinning as she lightly ruffles the youngest kid's hair. Toy Chica giggles and looks at Toy Bonnie, who also looks at her and they both nod. Toy Freddy looks back at Toy Chica and Bonnie as they run off and looks back at the group, "we're gonna go get' yer surprise, don't go anywhere!" With that, he tails after the other two, leaving everyone else in suspense of what they could be talking about.
"Did'cha you hear that Mike?" Sarah asks the kid as she pokes his side, hiding her grin as she fiddles with her guitar chain, "They got a surprise for you!"
'They aren't the only ones' Fredrick thought as he shifts in his seat, grabbing something in his jacket pocket as he watches Mike start to poke Sarah back.
