Five tore across the open field, device in hand. Sam kept track of where the objective was, and guided her to it.

"Doin' great Five," He said, alternating between looking at his own device and checking the cameras. "You're nearly there. Man, this is gonna be the battle of a lifetime. And you're sure you have everything you need for this? Because if we don't get it now, we've probably lost our chance of ever getting it."

Five raised a thumbs up.

"I'm actually shaking. I feel like my entire life has led up to this moment. Can you feel it, Five?" He took a deep breath. "Ok stop. It should be right in front of you. Do you see it?"

Five nodded.

"There shouldn't be any zoms around you, I've made sure of that. You have a few minutes, just make it count."

The door opened. "Mr. Yao! I heard Runner Five was out in the field for an emergency, what happened?" Janine stood over the monitor. "What's that thing Five's holding? And what are you hold- is that POKEMON?"

"Actually Janine, it's "Pokémon Go", and to be quite honest I had no idea you knew what it was."

"And you're wasting resources on digital made up animals?" Janine was bubbling with fury.

"Well I'd hardly call a CHARIZARD a waste of resources. Plus, Janine, there were no other runs scheduled for this afternoon, and well, my app alerted me that it was there-"

She scoffed. "So now you're also wasting Rofflenet connections for this, alright. Fine. As long as you're still keeping an eye out and as long as there are no scheduled missions, I suppose you can battle your made up creatures."

Janine was about to leave when Sam asked, "Do you want to watch Five battle a Charizard?"

She stopped. "… what is Five fighting with?"

"Only the highest level Pikachu the world has ever seen!"

Janine focused back on the monitor. "Seriously? You think any level Pikachu can take on a wild Charizard?"

"Well, Five's been training it real hard, you underestimate what that Pikachu can do. Go get 'em, Five!" Sam cheered.

And the battle ensued.
