The Lost Schnee - Chapter Thirty Six

Where do we go from here?

Hey guys, explodingninja here, back with the next chapter of the Lost Maiden.

Disclaimer: Chapter One

Blake

Blake stood on a balcony outside her father's office. Behind her the moon shone over the house. Blake stared at the door, beside which hung an empty birdcage, when her mother spoke, startling her.

"You know, you can always go in and say hi." She reminded Blake as she walked towards her holding a tray with a tea set on it.

"I don't wanna bother him." Blake replied rubbing her right arm.

"A father's never too busy for his daughter." Kali reminded her daughter.

"Not all of my friends would agree with you on that."

Kali kissed her daughter on the cheek and handed her the tray. Blake accepted it, but was also a bit taken aback by being handed it.

"Here."

"What? Where are you going?" Blake questioned.

"You've never been very talkative, but that boy you brought home loves to run his mouth. I wanna hear more about the adventures of Team RWBY." Kali began to walk away, only to turn to look back at her daughter, "Also, where's the other girl?"

Blake shrugged, Kali nodded and turned around and walked away, her footsteps audible on the wooden floor.

"Kali? Is that you, dear?" Ghira called out from his office.

The young teen gave a nervous start of surprise when she heard her fathers voice. The tray shook in her hand, and she let out a quiet whine.

'Family always care for you, no matter who you are... family should care for you.' Will voice pushed forwards from the back off her mind. Blake sighed before she took a deep breath in and out, opened the porch door and stepped in.

"Uh, hi dad."

"Blake! Well, this is a pleasant surprise." Ghira looked over towards his daughter.

"I..." Blake looked away from her father.

Ghira stood and gestured towards the lounge., "Please, come sit."

The pair make their way over to the oversized coffee table and lounge furniture, and Blake set the tea set at the end where her father sat.

"Don't worry, I've got it. Sit down, sit down."

"I don't wanna keep you if you're..."

"Nonsense, I've been cooped up in here all day." Ghira interrupted, as he poured the tea. He placed a cube of sugar in the cup nearest Blake. "You still take sugar, right?"

"Oh, actually, uh..."

"Oh! Sorry!" Ghira pulled back nervously.

"No, no, no, no, it' fine." Blake reassured him.

"Oh, here, take this one." Ghira handed her his cup.

"No, really. It's, it's no big deal." Blake took her cup.

"You sure?" Ghira asked.

"Positive."

"Old habits, I suppose."

Blake took a sip of her tea and winced, with a tiny exclamation of pain.

"Might wanna let it cool."

"Right." Blake replied, with slight pain in her voice.

The dark haired teen set the cup on the table.

Ghira looked away from his daughter before he asked, "So... is it..." He looked towards Blake, "warm... in Vale?"

"Huh?"

"It just... seems like your outfit doesn't cover very much."

Blake looked down at her outfit before she crossed her arms over her chest.

"It covers plenty."

"I mean, a little more armor might help." Ghira gestured with his right hand, "Don't you think?"

"I'm fine. I don't need armor. I can look after myself." Blake replied, her arms still crossed.

"I..." Ghira exhaled before he continued, "I know you can. I'm sorry."

He set his cup down, as Blake's expression saddened.

"Why?" Blake looked away, bowing her head.

"Hmm?"

"Why would you say that?"

Ghira moved to kneel beside Blake, putting a hand on her back.

"Sweetheart, what's wrong? What did I say?"

"How can you still love me after what I did?" Blake asked.

'Parental love conquers all.' Will replied in her head as her father gave her a concerned look.

"Blake..." He got up and sat beside her on the couch, putting an arm around her as he continued, "Your mother and I will always love you."

"You were right." Blake replied, on the verge of tears. "I shouted at you and yelled at you." She looked up at her father, "But you were right. I called you cowards!"

Remorsefully, she lowered her head closer to her father.

"It's okay." Ghira reassured his daughter, holding her.

Blake pulled back, "I should have left the White Fang with you and Mom. I should've listened to you, and I'm sorry." She turned her head away, "I'm so, so sorry."

Ghira turned her by the chin to look at him and then wiped a tear from her eye with his thumb, "Blake, it's fine. We never held anything against you, and I never feared you would fail. The only thing I ever feared was that you would fall down the wrong path, and I am so proud to see you haven't."

"But I did!" she exclaimed, she then sniffed, "I was-"

She lowered her head again.

"And you pulled yourself out. You came back. There aren't many who possess that kind of strength and even fewer that have the courage to face their demons again. Vale, Mountain Glenn, Beacon - you confronted the White Fang time after time." Ghira reminded her.

"I didn't do it alone."

"No, you didn't. Which is why I wanted to ask you... why did you leave Vale? Why did you leave your friends behind?"

Blake sniffed before she replied, "I..."

Behind them, the porch door fell inward, with Sun on top of it and yelping. Blake turned around.

Blake stood up affronted, "SUN?!"

Ghira was also standing while Sun got himself upright and tried to recover the situation.

"D'yuh! Whoa! This isn't the bathroom! Uh, I'll just be going! Sorry to interrupt this tender family moment!" He let out an awkward giggle.

Blake and Ghira both glared at Sun, Blake's right ear twitching. Ghira took a breath and closed his eyes for a second.

"I really don't like you."

"OUTSIDE NOW!" With that Blake dragged Sun out by the collar of his shirt.

~oOo~

With a groan of frustration Blake slapped Sun.

"Ugh! No concept of privacy," She slapped him again, "no respect for personal space!"

Suns hand went to his face where she made contact the second time.

"I'm sorry, okay?! Ow, I'm sorry!"

"Ugh!"

Angrily, Blake turned her back on him and marched a few steps away.

"Look, I promise it was important! I needed to find you to talk to you!"

Blake turned back, exasperated, "What, Sun? What could be so important?!"

"I was talking to your mom and she said something weird about the White Fang!"

"I'm stopping you right there." Blake replied, holding a finger up and striding forward.

"But-"

"I told you, I'm not here to fight the White Fang, I'm not here to fight anyone. I'm here to rest, to figure things out, and to see my family."

"Your mom said White Fang members don't wear masks in Menagerie. But I saw one at the market yesterday! I even have a picture!"

Sun pulled his Scroll out of his back pocket.

"Sun!"

"Look, I'm trying to help!" Sun brought up the image.

Blake pulled his Scroll out of his hands and tossed it out into the trees.

"I don't want your help!"

Sun stared at his Scroll and turned to Blake, growling. The pair heard the Scroll land, followed by a feminine, gasp from the trees where Blake had just tossed the Scroll. Both Sun and Blake's eyes go wide for a second and they slowly turn, their eyes narrowing.

Blake gasped as she spotted a dark humanoid shape with a white mask, perched atop a nearby palm tree. The woman leapt into the air and soon disappeared from view. Blake stepped forward with a determined look on her face, as Sun threw out his arms.

"A freakin' ninja?!"

"A spy!" Blake replied.

"But why would-"

He was cut off as Blake jumped onto the railing and then off into the trees.

"Hey wait!" He held his hand out.

Kali ran out off the house and from around the corner.

"What happened?"

"The White Fang is evil, I totally called it, and I'm bringing your daughter back!" Sun explained as he backed up towards where Blake had leapt off.

He leapt down off the second story deck and followed Blake.

Blake chased the masked White Fang member from tree to tree. The both paused for a moment, gripping onto different trees. A noise from above, made the spy gasp and Sun appeared, dropping down.

"Gotcha!"

The spy leapt out of the way. Blake pursued her while Sun landed on a branch.

"Hey, wait up!"

"Don't let her out of your sight!" Blake ordered.

The spy emerged from the trees and onto a roof. She continued to run across the buildings, with Blake right behind her. Sliding under some arching pipes, the spy finally turned and stopped. Using her weapon in whip form, she sliced the pipe, releasing steam to block Blake. It didn't work; Blake moved right under the pipes through the steam.

"Why are you watching me?" Blake asked.

The girl smiled and lowered her weapon. Sun landed on the roof behind her, causing her to turn around.

"Give it up! I'm not above hitting a girl, you-"

He got cut off when the spy's whip came at him in an attack, which he fell back to avoid. Blake took advantage of the distraction to kick the Scroll out of the spy's hand. The girl was surprised, avoided Blake's next attack, responded with a kick of her own and attempted to retrieve the Scroll. Sun tackled her instead.

"Grab the Scroll! Seems someone thinks it's important!"

"GET OFF!"

The spy headbutted Sun, cracking off the part of the mask that covered her left eye, and tried to race Blake to the Scroll. Instead, one clone tackled her to the ground, with three more following, a total of four clones holding her down. Sun was holding his pose to control his Semblance and Blake paused.

"Quit staring and grab it!" Sun ordered.

Blake listened, and Sun finally released his Semblance, which he had been struggling to maintain, and fell to his knees. The clones disappeared from atop the girl. She got up and aimed her weapon at Blake.

"Blake, watch out!"

Blake turned, rising with the scroll in her hand. She saw the broken Grimm mask crumble from the spy's face.

"Ilia."

Sun got to his feet, "Wait, you know her?! But she doesn't even look like a f—aagh!"

He got cut off when the colour-changing Ilia struck an electric hit near his shoulder with her weapon, which caused Sun to cry out and fall.

"Sun!"

"Give it to me." Ilia ordered.

"No."

Ilia changed colour again, "You shouldn't have come back."

She used her weapon to create a rush of dust, which allowed her to escape.

Blake briefly acknowledged that Ilia had disappeared before rushing over to Sun.

"Sun! Sun!"

Sun was lying on his back, bleeding from the wound Ilia caused. Blake covered the wound with her hands.

"No, no, no, not again, please! Help! Somebody! Hold on, Sun, just hold on."

In a flash of Baby blue light Cheri appeared before she dropped do to her knees. She moved Blake's hands away and placed her own in their place. She pushed a slight amount of aura over Sun, which caused her body to shrink.

"Pick him up, once we get back to your house I can properly sort him out."

Blake nodded and picked Sun up in a bridal pose. Together the pair made their way back. Cheri knocked on the door of the house and after a minute Ghira opened the door. Cheri quickly explained what happened from what she got from Blake on the way there. Ghira sighed and they made their way to the study. Kali was still on the deck, waiting for Sun and Blake to get back. When she sew the group she ram off saying she'll get the Med kit. Cheri nodded and shouted back that they will be in the Study.

Once in the Study, Cheri took Sun from Blake and placed him down on the sofa.

"Okay. I'll just sort out the wound with what we have right now." Cheri explained.

Two hours later, Sun was sleeping on the couch, his wound cleaned and dressed.

Blake smiled and placed a kiss to Will's lips. Will groaned and deepened the kiss. After a minute, they parted and looked at each other. Will nodded towards Blake, who returned the gesture. Will smiled before he pulled her towards an unfamiliar bed. Will pulled Blake onto his lap and kissed her. Blake groaned and deepened the kiss. Their lips moved in perfect sync with one another. Will's tongue swiped over Blake lips. Blake groaned and pushed Will down so he was flat on his back Blake pushed herself up and looked at her boyfriend, the desire in his eye was almost enough to tip Blake over the edge. She lent down and kissed Will once again, her hands roaming his body. Will began to rock his hips up, Blake groaned and moved her hips in time with Will's. Blake moved her lips away from Will's and began to nip at Will's neck. Will groaned as his hand move up to pull Blake's top off. Blake sat up, her body still moving as she pulled the top over her arms and threw it behind her. Will smiled, his hands moving down to the hem off his shirt. He expertly flipped them over so he was on the top, which caused Blake to wrap her legs around his waist. Will pulled his top off and threw it away to his left. Blake giggled and pulled the white haired male down into a passionate kiss. She then flipped them so that she was on top so that she could begin to undo her bra. Will watched fascinated as Blake threw the black bra away.

~oOo~

Blake awoke with a start, her breathing short and fast. She stood up and walked over to Sun, she checked the wound before she walked back to the chair and collapsed down. Cheri walked over to Blake and placed her hand on her shoulder.

"Bad dream?" She questioned.

Blake shook her head, "I can't explain it... it was so strange... I was in a unfamiliar room, an unfamiliar bed..." Blake felt her head heat up as a light blush appeared.

"Say no more!" Cheri sat down on the arm on the chair, "You and Will?"

Blake nodded and tensed up, unsure of what Cheri was going to do. Cheri stood up and grabbed Blake's wrist. She pulled Blake up and into a hug, which relaxed Blake.

Blake pulled away from the hug and sat back down on the chair, "How do you spell your name?"

Cheri smiled and looked away from a minute before she looked back and replied, "T-A-T-I-A-N-A. Oh sorry wrong name. C-H-E-R-I."

Blake gasped and jumped up, to pull Cheri into a hug.

"I have to leave. I'll be back by morning."

Cheri

Cheri smiled as she ran for cover under the covered platform, she stopped and noticed a young boy using the Ticket machine. She watched as he talked to himself, a smile creeping back onto her face. She was about to go and help the teen when she stopped, and turned around to watch a tall muscular man, with short brown hair, a beard and hazel eyes. She followed him so that she could hear the conversation.

"Here."

The young teen turned his attention to Hazel, who continued to approach him. Hazel stopped near the machine and raised up his fist. In response, Oscar flinched away and widened his eyes, uttering a small noise. Hazel then slammed his fist down on the machine, which beeped and made the sound of dispensing paper, while Oscar straightened up and stared. As Hazel moved his fist, the machine spit out a small ticket. While Hazel walked away, Oscar picked the ticket up and then looked at him. Cheri ducked behind the broken Machine when Hazel then turned.

"Don't let such a small obstacle block your path."

He resumed on his way, while Oscar watched.

"That man. I felt... Who is he?" Oscar asked himself.

"Someone you shouldn't trust." Cheri replied, stopping next to Oscar.

Oscar jumped at the sudden appearance of Cheri.

"She correct. Someone from my past. Someone who should not be taken lightly." The voice of Professor Ozpin replied.

"I'm always correct!" Cheri replied.

"You can... can hear..." Oscar stuttered, confusion clear in his voice.

"Yeah." Cheri smiled at the young teen, "Besides, I'm just the same, A voice in someones head... just more psychotic than him."

"Oh... what..." Oscar stopped and looked at the ticket in his hand. "Uh... What's your name?"

"Hm, oh, around others I'm Cheri, C-H-E-R-I, Cheri Blossom. However, my real name is Tatiana, Tiana for short."

Oscar nodded, "I'm Oscar. Are you heading to Mistral?"

"Yes and no. Yes, I'll be making my way to Mistral at some point, but right now, I'm focusing on making sure someone is safe in Menagerie. Anyway, Goodbye Oscar, I'll see you soon. Bye Oz!"

Blake

It was daytime in Menagerie, the birds tweeted in the trees around the balcony outside Ghira's study. Inside, a shirtless Sun was lying on the couch, his head propped on the arm and his hands folded over his abdomen. Sun blinks awake, he raised his head with a groan.

"Blake?"

Blake was sitting on the chair across from the couch, her body facing him, but her head was bowed and her hand were folded in her lap.

"This… is why, Sun. This is why I left them all behind."

Sun sat up, "What are you… wait, where am I?"

Blake got up and walked over to the couch as Sun looked around in confusion.

"I am done seeing my friends hurt because of me." Blake explained.

"Blake..."

"Shut up! Do you think I like being alone? Every day… every day I think about them! Ruby, Weiss, Yang, … they were my friends! I loved them like I never thought I could love anybody else. And I hope they hate me for leaving."

Sun raised himself up to reach out to her, "You don't mean that."

"Yes, I do!" Blake stepped forwards.

Blake was forceful enough with her voice that Sun pulled back.

Blake held her hand to her head, "Everyone thinks they can help me, but they can't." She sat down as she continued, "You saw Ilia last night and she's not even the worst! No. No more. They're better off without me. I made my choices and I'll deal with the consequences because they belong to me."

"What about Will." Sun glanced over to Blake, he sighed and began to explain, "He once said this, right, 'You think you're being selfless, but you're not.'" Sun looked over at Blake before he gulped looked away and added, "I mean, yeah, that chameleon friend of yours got me pretty good. But I'd do it all again if it meant protecting you."

Blake turned to him, surprised.

"And I can promise Yang would say the same. If Will was here he'd most defiantly say the same."

Blake turned away, looking down.

Sun sat up fully, with effort, "You can make your own choices, sure. But you don't get to make ours. When your friends fight for you, it's because we want to. So stop pushing us out! It hurts more than anything the bad guys could ever do to us."

Sun looked at the floor and Blake, who'd turned to face him, turned away again.

"But, if it makes you feel any better, the next time I go up against Lizard Girl, it won't be for you - it'll be to get even."

He attempted to point to his wound with his left thumb, but he could not complete the motion and it aggravated his injury. Sun winced in pain and Blake laughed.

"My hero."

The door behind Blake, the same one that Sun had crashed thorough the night before, crashed down again. This time it was Kali embarrassing herself through eavesdropping too closely. Behind her, Ghira looked at his wife on the ground with his hand on his hip. Kali popped upwards again.

"Oh! Oh dear, would you look at that, he's awake! Thank goodness!" Kali remarked, in an affected tone.

"Kali, Please." Ghira covered his face with his hand.

"Mom!"

"Hey, Mrs. B!"

Blake walked over to her mother, "What are you doing?!"

"Well, sweetheart, your father needed to speak with the two of you."

"Huh?"

Blake sat back down next to Sun as Cheri handed Sun his shirt. Ghira stood opposite the two, the coffee table between them, while Kali sat down on the chair. Ghira set a scroll down on the coffee table. It showed a master folder labelled W. F. with six sub-folders inside. The sub-folders were labelled: Assignment, E.L, P.R, E.W., S. F., Untitled.

"I'm afraid you were right to be suspicious." Ghira announced.

"What do you mean?"

"Adam Taurus is planning to overthrow the leader of the White Fang, and stage a full-scale attack on Haven Academy. It would be the Fall of Beacon all over again."

Sun and Blake looked at the floor. After a minute Sun looked up again.

"Not if we destroy the White Fang once and for all." He remarked, looking at Blake before he looked at the floor again.

Blake looked up, "No."

She stood up, full of decision.

"We're not going to destroy the White Fang. We're going to take it back."

Cheri stepped forward and looked over the group, "It's time to work out a plan."

Blake and Sun nodded, while Ghira and Kali smiled at one another.

Cheri smiled and turned around to take a deep breath, while Blake sat back down.

"Weren't you going to explain why you turned into who ever..." Kali started, causing Cheri to jump and turn around.

"William Nicholas Branwen?" Cheri questioned, knowing full well the group would nod. "Sure, if you guys want to hear now I can..."

The group nodded, cutting Cheri off. She sighed and in a flash of Baby blue light she was back to her 'normal' self, gone was the overly pink outfit, gone was the light pink hair and now she was left with her normal silver hair and hazel eyes, her outfit was now a long flowing black dress with outlines of green flowers.

"My real name is Tatiana, Tiana for short. I'm... cursed. For thousands of years, I've walked the surface of Remnant, living, dying, and reincarnating in the body of a like-minded soul. I was cursed by the gods, as I failed to help Sa... someone in the past. Now, I... we need to stop her soon." Tatiana explained, walking around the room, her long dress flowing behind her.

"Could you say that with..." Sun began.

The aura creation, Tatiana, stopped behind Sun, "I can't, I have no emotion. I am an emotionless psychopath. I am what causes The Cursed Boy to act like a Psychopath. I am one myself."

"Wait... the Cursed Boy?" Sun asked, looking over his shoulder at Tatiana.

"WILL!" Blake shouted, standing up once again. She looked around the room and blushed, "Sorry. The way you acted, Cheri, you said so many things that that Will would say."

"Will... who is that again?" Kali asked.

"Blake's/My boyfriend." Blake and Tatiana replied.

"Didn't he... Wasn't he the one who passed on top of Beacon Tower?" Ghira queried.

"Yes." Tatiana replied.

Peony

Peony woke with and groaned, she sat up and placed her hand on her head. She looked around and sighed. She stood up and made her way out of the tent. She shielded her eyes from the sun as she exited. She looked around and smiled, Mercury was standing nearby talking to Raven. She took a few wobbly steps towards the pair, before she tripped over and fell down next to Mercury's feet. Mercury shook his head and helped her up. Peony looked away in embarrassment before she looked back at Mercury as he asked.

"You sure you're alright to train today?"

Peony nodded and together they made their way outside to start training.

The pair faced off, Mercury got into a fighting stance and Peony looked down, making sure her feet were in the right position. A low laugh caused her to look back up. To her shock and surprise, Mercury had gone missing and in his place was her father.

"You'll pay for what you did."

Peony screamed as the world around her turned dark. She blinked and she was now standing in the front room of the Belladonna's. In front of her were Kali and Ghira along with Sun. She shook her head and walked over to Ghira.

"Where's Blake and Yang?" Peony asked.

"They chased after Adam." Kali replied, looking at her husband.

"They head towards the Study. Hurry." Ghira explained.

Peony nodded and ran past them. She runs around the house, getting lost in a labyrinth of corridors and rooms, her head pounding. She finally made her way out of the house exiting out onto the balcony. She ran into the open study door and stopped.

Her eyes began to well up as she walked over to two body's. The first was Blake's she who was lying in a pool of blood her head removed from her body. Next to her was Yang, who was lying in the same pool of blood. Her limbs were torn from her body and haphazardly placed back in the right place. Peony crouched down by Blake's body as tears begin to fall like a waterfall. She stayed there for a while, unable to move from pure shock, she'd failed, again, they were gone, Adam had taken them, from what she did.

She took a shaky breath in before she stood up, wiping away the tears. She turned around and was impaled by Wilt. She let out a crackled breath before she slumped over, the last thing she saw was her blood mixing with the pool of blood that Blake and Yang were lying in.

Peony sat up in shock, tears falling from her face. She looked around as she tried to slow her breathing down. Mercury was nowhere around and no one else was in the tent. She stood up and made her way out of the tent. She looked around the area and gulped. Mercury was talking to Raven, luckily 'Vernal' was there. Peony made her way over to the trio before she tapped Mercury on the shoulder. Mercury turned around and shook his head.

"Training off for today, you look terrible."

"Feel it." Peony pause, as a tear slid down her cheek, "I mean after the dream I had..."

Mercury stopped her mid sentence and pulled her to one side.

"Nightmare?"

Peony nodded and took a shaky breath in. She gulped as more tears formed at the corners of her eyes. Mercury shook his head, before he raised his right hand and place it on Peony's cheek, closely followed by his left hand. Peony looked up at Mercury as he wiped the tears away with his thumbs.

"Hey. Why don't we relax instead and talk about something."

A cheeky grin appeared on Peony face, "Like boys?" She asked, before she burst out laughing at Mercury blank expression.

Mercury sighed and walked away.

"Whatever, if you wanna."

Peony grin got wider as she asked, "What about Virgil?"

So that was the next chapter. So, first things first, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Secondly, I am so sorry about the lack of updates, and it pains me to say, due to personal reasons The Lost Schnee is going on a unknown length Hiatus. Once again I am so sorry, but like a monkey, life has thrown shit at me, meaning I haven't been able to write as often as I wish I could. So, until the next chapter, whenever that will be.
